We have fully gone down the rabbit hole here. I wasn't suggesting you were HereKitty, anyway, this convo is pointless. Good luck with ASOS, I hope you do well on it.
Haha what a strange accusation. I started buying last week at around £34 a share and bought all the way down to £30, now with an average of just over £31. I have nothing in common with Kitty besides the ncyt connection I think.
Other than that I hold BMN and MKA, Kitty do you invest in commodities and are you a 29 year old bloke?!
When I say Chris I mean HereKittyKitty. Its hard to keep up with all his usernames.
Expecting good results at BWNG and it is on very low multiples compared to ASOS. I know you were a buyer Chris at 5000+ here so understand you are upset at losing money, but please don't take my comments personally. I'm just not bullish on ASOS currently, but doesn't mean I don't think its a good company.
Why are you buying Browning BWNG then if you believe that - I better come over to that forum & share your advice
And you think that the effect on ASOS to rising energy prices will be so immediate that the financials after next will be severely hit and the share price will be around £25? That's not a leap that's a hop skip and jump
That's on the wholesale market, those of you not on fixed rate tariffs will be in for a bit of a shock.
Gas and electricity prices are about five times higher than last year. So lets wait and see what happens here. this winter.
@HKK,I too would like to thank you,I have bought in here too now.
@Seaking,as you say…..the other board we are on is far more pleasant.
GLA
Shrewd11, post of the day - really made me laugh!
HKK, just had a look here after you mentioning it on another far nicer board. After having a good look at the fundamentals and charts etc , I’m now in. Many thanks , Seaking1. :-)
I have a snippet from the results in 4 weeks!!
Nick Beighton, CEO, commented:
"ASOS has delivered another strong performance against a backdrop of continued rising energy prices and global oil supply pressures but have to give a cautious outlook as twenty somethings will need more 50p’s for the meter this winter. Brrrrrrr.”
I’ve just had news in that this mornings 6% rise is actually down to a sale on Smirnoff Vodka at tesco this week, meaning 18-25 year olds have more disposable income to spend on clothing.
It must win this weeks award for most original de ramp
hey arnold Did your nurse forgot to give you medicine this morning?
Heaters off, wooly jumpers on.
Nice spot Teverham
* Buy
But sone ASOS now & your energy prices won’t matter as it’s about to move or you can sit there in the chills while we are all warm in the sun making profits
asos have thermals on offer and the sp is rising accordingly, I guess.
That made me chuckle - Arnold thinks the increase in energy prices will affect the SP here in such a way that it will need to drop to £25 a share before any rise.
That’s a real stretch arnold.
My car insurance also went up this year so I won’t be buying any new pants this year. RIP asos
My energy bill might go from £50 / month to £60/ month will stop me buying clothes?
Yeah ok
High energy prices likely to limit consumer spending on clothes this winter, so looking to buy this around 2500p around Q1.
