Cheers, I was partly thinking out loud and wondered if I was misunderstanding something. Either way I find those numbers reassuring.
Yes Rhines - I suppose free float exc. major s/holders would be 20%
Sorry, I mean 80% not in public hands...
This isn't particularly important but on the Amedeo website it says 66.37% of shares are not in public hands but then gives the following significant shareholders of 61.09%, 9.20%, 5.28% & 5.19%. So shouldn't the not in public hands figure be more like 20%?
they reckon there are around 130 shareholders in total - take out the 2.2 bn shares not in public hands and some of that 130 must have some pretty large holdings!. It sounds like this company may be coming alive over the next few months an order would do the trick a few and this will be many multiples of the current level.

Still a great entry price to get into for the long term holder. I initially bought at 1.9p on the spike without any research but the more I read about the set up of this company and where they want to be the more I like it. Current price gives plenty opportunity to average down for anyone like me that got caught on the spike, or a great price to top up. IMHO. GLA.
I was at the Manchester meeting to see SXX and LGO - I'd not heard AMED before so it was hearing it all for the first time. I was very impressed with Zaraullah and the whole story.. I' not heard of this before so wanst able to ask any penetrating questions. One thing though that order for follow on rigs - talks are progressing. It takes at least 9 months from start of discussion to completion. He was not able to say yes or no as it was inside info but they are in talks with several companies at different stages from 2 to 4 to 8 month stages..... The background of the board the backing of QIC and the JV partner are impressive - the new 1.6m sq m facility in China is also impressive. 20% of that alone is more than our MCAP. The first rig is on time and the owner is very very happy with build quality I'm in....
Interesting read: 09 Sep 2014 The World Economic Forum announced Monday its selection of Global Growth Companies (GGCs) in Greater China, consisting of 14 of the region’s most dynamic and high-growth companies. These companies are considered trailblazers, shapers and innovators that are committed to improving the state of the world. GGCs are fast-growing companies with the clear potential to become global economic leaders. The 14 nominated GGCs from Greater China represent a broad cross section of industrial sectors, but share in common a track record in exceeding industry standards in revenue growth, promotion of innovative business practices and demonstration of leadership in corporate citizenship. The selected companies that will receive the GGC Award at this year’s Annual Meeting of the New Champions are: City Super Group (Hong Kong), Deppon Logistics Co.,Ltd, Guangxi Liugong Machinery, Hanergy Holding Group, HK Maxim’s Group (Hong Kong), Li Ning Company, Plateno Hotels Groups, Proya Cosmetics, Rainbow Group (Macau), Shandong Hi-tech Chemical Group, Shenzhen Energy, Solareast, Wowprime, Yangzijiang Shipbuilding, and Yuantong Express. “The World Economic Forum is proud to recognize these 14 champions that are at the forefront of driving responsible economic growth, job creation and entrepreneurism in Greater China. We look forward to the active and dynamic role they will play at our Meeting in Tianjin, working with the world’s leaders to foster inclusive, sustainable growth in the region,” said David Aikman, Managing Director and Head of New Champions at the World Economic Forum. .... http://www.eurasiareview.com/09092014-world-economic-forum-recognizes-14-companies-china-global-growth-companies/
Only 2 sells today and rest buys. Nice. Let's get close to 1p and then suddenly it will be noticed.
Always take position early to minimize any down risk but maximize top gains.
Look what has occurred at AEX, re-ignited due partly to a Corporate Presentation. Doubled in about a week. Agreed, hopefully we've seen the bottom lately, and onwards & upwards. One would expect atleast a contract, by years end.
I have always seen take off in share sin AIM. Look at SOLO. How would one now like to be in at 0.30! I am in from 0.19. This will take off so I am taking position early. We have seen 3p day!
Welcome. Looking better this morning. Let's hope the presentations in the next couple of days might give us something new. Obviously new contracts will come via RNS's. There is definitely a lot of potential.
I am in now as best to be in low in case but I see upside from here before any news.
3.2p on rumour. Imagine what price we will be when the order book is full for several years ahead. This is one share that i have the patience of a saint for.
Line-ups of those presenting. Amed described as 'one of the most exciting companies' http://www.proactiveinvestors.co.uk/companies/news/71937/sirius-minerals-amedeo-resources-fastnet-oil-gas-galantas-gold-mkango-resources-leni-oil-gas-and-petroceltic-international-on-roadshow-71937.html
Took nearly half an hour but eventually managed a top up.
We get a bit of interest and then you can't buy. Let's hope news on new orders is not too far away. Presuming interest due to presentations Monday/Tuesday. Have a great day.
RNS red dot and thought it was time for me to sell my FAST and REM shares and get back into AMED. Sadly it's just notice of a presentation. Might become interesting on here after that presentation depending on what is said however. Definitely staying on my watch list as I'm sure once the rigs are getting close to completion and if new orders are anounced this SP will seem very low indeed. GLA to all that are holding, I strongly anticipate being back here with you in due course. Doc.
Manchester on the 9th sept.
On the 9th. My apologies. GLA.
Hey - are the dates correct - I assume its the same presenters in which case how can they be in two places at the same time????
Is anyone planning on going?
