At current price one would certainly want a slice.
Looks like ALY shares are in limbo until the deadline expires for Flacks to make an offer (25 March). Is it mere coincidence that the bid price for this share (2.76p) is now pretty much the same figure as Flacks mentions in his outline for a possible bid (2.748p)? Hopefully, next week we might have a bit more clarity as to what is (or is not) happening.
Oh well, no news is good news, in this case. Looks like a big sell probably skewed yesterday's price.
Not sure what's going on. Even the Flacks mooted offer is higher than the current bid price. Clearly there is some news out there affecting ALY - and it isn't good.
Hi all not much coming from A. L board lets hope they are not planning to cut the other share holders out ( us ) just like they did with FLYBE. What do anybody think about where these are going as i have a big holding i am hoping that they come back to a good price this year. Fingers crossed all holders.
You know it's been a bad day when ALY is your top gaining share (which it was mine today, due to the uptick in the bid price)! :~o
Three interest disclosures published today, showing that MUI and associated companies own a total of 60.98% ALY shares. No surprises there.
If you got that from reading the RNS then that would appear to simply be a statement of holding. CAM have held nearly 2% of the company for awhile.
Cavendish Asset Management Just bought 12.5M shares! Are they closing a short or buying in?
Hopefully this small piece of good news will give shareholders confidence that the BOD are not going to give the company away. .
He puts in a low bid and says it will not rise to flush out reaction and a higher more realistic bid from Future Group.........then tops it? What prive have the Malays paid for their shares and what would be a fair return on that price?
They haven't offered anything yet

For every sold share there is a buyer.
Are buys truly buys or are they sells? what is the real price of LA at the moment?
The value of the assets alone are worth 5p per share (Feb 19 interims). Then add the value of the brand and potential forward earnings - depressed currently due to the weak pound. The offer to buy LA at 2.75p is bizarre!
The offer of 2.74p is derisory in the extreme. A company with no debt,. an internationally recognised brand and a turnover of well over 10 times its market value is worth much more .Its true that the turnover has not delivered a profit margin recently because of the low value of the pound and retailers have suffered everywhere but a stronger pound above 1.50/1.60 will change that and a movement into hospitality can diversify the business , I hope the CEO tells Mr Flack what he can do with his money and allows the current shareholders a fighting chance of recovering past losses by maintaining control >An acceptance of this ridiculous offer is of no benefit to anyone other than Mr Flack ..Do we get a vote on the offer ?
They have just sold a hotel for £6m cash. By my reckoning that gives an EV/EBITDA ratio of about 3.5. Got to be worth 2 or 3 times the offer price with the value of the brand as well.
I hope that this BOD don't do what the Flybe scoundrels did and throw the company away for almost nothing!!
Well, using the rationale that something is worth only what someone is willing to pay, at least now we know ALY is worth no less than £20 million - but I don't think Mr Flack is going to get a look in at 2.7p.
No debt, some buildings in prime central London locations.
They have an office in Chelsea which would be worth £20m alone (if they own it).
Can't imagine a bid like that would be accepted.
Flacks is having a laugh.... But let’s see what Future Group does now. They have been circling for a while?
In response to the recent press speculation regarding the Company, the Flacks Group confirms that it is in the very preliminary stages of evaluating a possible transaction that may include an offer for the entire issued and to be issued share capital of the Company.
Any such offer, if made, is expected to be satisfied in cash, and would be limited to a maximum cash payment per share of 2.748 pence, valuing the entire issued share capital of the Company at approximately £20 million.[1] The Flacks Group confirms this price is final and will not be increased or decreased.

The SP is up because Laura Ashley Confirms It Has Not Received Any Takeover Bid. Nobody wants a hostile takeover hence the reason the price has shop upwards
Who know will be interesting to see if it is, Whats the company really worth?
That’s not to say a hostile one is in progress? No smoke without a fire, and all that...... SPs up 23% already.
