From 16m 50s on the video Adam Bond explains the Ammonia Cracker, the market for it, and the where and how it is expected to be used.
https://youtu.be/73U9AbulOA0?si=cz8EJbhGk6VzabOz&t=1010
If people can understand what is said, they will have an idea of just how big the Ammonia Cracker should be if all goes to plan, and why the Ammonia Producers are visiting AFC HQ, and why the Ammonia industry is telling AFC Energy that the Ammonia Cracker is worth much more than the market cap of the company.
Listen to it 2 or 3 times, as things said further along then make a lot more sense when you hear again what was said before.

The truth is that Alkamem was going to be one of three revenue streams in its own right, with market size for the membrane market spouted by Bond and repeatedly regurgitated by Haggis just like the ammonia cracker !
We even had commercial samples of Alkamem ordered by customers, strange that we never heard of any customers trialling Alkamem though and when you consider how good the PIs here are at unearthing tiny snippets of news what does that tell you.
If it really is worth more than the current market cap of the company I'd be expecting a bid any day now
I don't think there will be any bid for the Ammonia cracker. If I was Afc , why would I sell my prize asset. What is likely is that one of these firms visiting Afc energy will be investing a lot of money with us to speed mass production & sale of the cracker up.
Yes i agree, this seems like it’s found a firm foundation now and will just keep going north when more news arrives.
“If I was Afc , why would I sell my prize asset “
Priceless!
So the amazing power of tower isn’t the prize asset , nor the unit supposedly destined for ABB (ha, ha!) or all of the other ground breaking tech the the company has failed to commercialise, but it now appears to be something that is at this precise moment in time nothing more than an idea which, in any case is a supposed solution to a non problem (it only becomes a problem if there’s actually demand for H2 to put into a commercially viable cell….which we ain’t got! and even then the benefit is actually less than clear…
Git
We have quite a number of proven prize assets, as you well know. Just my oppinion that the cracker is going to be huge For Afc.
You also know that it works & a working model is on show for potential customers to go & see ( which they are in great numbers ). So please stop spouting your crap on here. Nobody is listening anymore.
Hahahah!
So what makes you think it’s actually a product? It’s a lab prototype and no more, it’s no more a viable product than any of the cell products that people aren’t queueing up to buy (caveat required here, without some obscure JV arrangement where the terms are unknown, or a massive discount the terms of which are known, but unpalatable to many)
Non product, and just another another brick in the yellow brick road to nowhere
I'm not talking about a bid for the cracker CN. If it really is worth more than the market cap then buy the company and have the rest for free
Looks like Bond is out of news. His pumping campaign has fallen completely flat, even his blatant attempt to big up the ammonia cracker's value to more than the current MC, was roundly dismissed by the market. With interest rates higher for longer, the SP here unfortunately won't increase significantly anytime soon, I don't believe. Imagine how different things might have been if AFC had been getting ready to supply ABB with 200kW units instead of Speedy with the enormous 30kW iteration fuel cell generators. AFC is certainly well practiced in underwhelming investors and the wider market. Nonetheless, our current incumbent CEO is worth every penny of his exorbitant remuneration package as he beavers away trying to convince anyone who'll listen that AFC is on the road to greatness. 😂
Yawn. Same tosh gron. Can u think of nothing better to do?
Looks like Garonne is out of news. His de-ramping campaign has fallen completely flat, even his blatant attempt to talk down the ammonia cracker's value to more than the current MC, was roundly dismissed by anyone with half a brain cell. With interest rates forecast to be further reduced throughout 2024, the SP has a great chance of increasing significantly anytime soon, I believe. Imagine how different things will be as soon as AFC finish getting ABB's 200kW units ready in addition to supplying Speedy's customers with enormous volumes of of the 30kW fuel cell generators. AFC is certainly on track to overwhelm investors and the wider marker. Our current incumbent CEO is worth every penny of his remuneration package as he beavers away ensuring that AFC remain on the road to greatness.
Bond is overpaid.
Totally overpaid and totally burnt !
But ABB was meant to have received their units last year along with Acciona who were also meant to have received their S series 50kVA H- Power generator in 2023! I wonder what could possibly have gone wrong?! Are Julich still expecting their unit? No more talk of Mace or Keltbray! And yet some folks have great confidence in AFC to deliver on their promises. Based on what? Past history?
2024 is meant to be the year that AFC deliver, deliver the £2m order to Speedy before the end of October, the current financial year and deliver some of the remaining £27m order book yet every photo on LinkedIn shows the factory completely empty !
Ignore the bashers lies, watch the videos and it's all very clear that the Ammonia Cracker is a game changer and will be highly sought after. It still needs to be packaged into a container, and then the brakes will come off. I'm sure that is what AFC Energy will be purveying to the ii's and Sell Side Analysts at the upcoming Capital Markets Day in just 15 trading days (hence why basher desperation has gone through the roof).

Yes what happened to Julich?
I imagine we've all seen the video Haggis, but I'm afraid there's a shovelful of salt to be applied before assuming that just because someone said something it will materialise in reality. Been down this path too many times. Naturally I hope that this is indeed a gamechanger but until it is commercialised profitably and in volume I'll suspend belief.
Jülich like so many other contracts dissapeared in AB‘ Story Tale Bernuda Triangle
Is anyone prepared to set out the economics of power generation using H2 extracted from cracked ammonia?
Ubers, you go first, lets see how you get it to stack up....
As a start point, anyone prepared to comment on the accuracy of the above numbers?
Energy density of H2 - 36KW / KG
Efficiency of reformer - 60%
Efficiency of fuel cell - 75%
Cost of reformed H2 - 2.00 euro
Cost of H2 from electrolysis 5.5 euro
From the above, it should be possible to calculate the relative costs of electricity generated from green H2, H2 via a reformed and H2 extracted from ammonia.
Put forward the numbers and lets see the comparatives using the above and uber proposed numbers, assuming they can be validated....the above H2 costs per KG are from the link in the RNS about the last so called milestone, which is basically quite irrelevant within the context of ACF and fuel cells.
Come on Haggis, you're good at cut and paste, let's see your numbers......
I'll give you a clue.......power out of an amazing fuel cell thing using ammonia is about twice as expensive as using reformed H2 direct, and marginally more expensive than using H2 created by electrolysis. when comparing the ratio of power in to power out from start to finish, using H2 created by electrolysis is approximately more efficient....anyone care to disprove?
