22.36 - JofHogitt: welcome back. I note your quote about 'aspiring oil company CEOs' and one can relate it back to post 21.47 which mostly seems there in order to work in the paragraph starting 'unless new facts arise which I am not aware of at time of writing, no. I believe at c.£200m, 88E is overvalued in absolute terms.' Fortunately, the system of appointing REAL CEOs deals with material issues. Again, regarding SP movement, the other poster has not got a clue (or chooses to hide it). VGLA

Now then Reaper, you never appear to pass much of an opinion on anything , other than an acerbic comment on the posts of others, offering nothing meaningful or constructive yourself.
What's your view on the lack of plans for a flow test? Why would the company not plan to do this? One might view it as a plan to perpetuate the myth in the absence of provable substance.

Yes, JofHoggit. Luckily for PANR (and indeed 88e) Great Bear moved on a bit quicker from the unconventional piece than 88e, hence why they are further down the track with the conventional side.
As fate would have it 88e went on to prove the sweet spot for the HRZ next to the Dalton was in Great Bear’s acreage well after Great Bear stopped caring. 88e even gifted us a big chunk of Theta West in the leases they gave up last year. Hopefully
Pantheon can return the favour and prove up some of the plays which creep into 88e acreage. It’s a funny thing right enough.
Just catching up on the board after a few days away. Best post of the month right here.....made me chuckle.

I am invested in 88E purely to hopefully make a little money and my participation here is mainly to debate with like minded souls and pass any useful information I find onwards.
I filter and always sign in so I miss a lot - or do I? simples really.
In 2011 Ed Duncan to a Senate Resource Committee stated that by now GBP would be producing 200.000 barrels of oil per day from unconventional sources after commencing production in 2013 ....
I am unsure if Paul Basinsky was that bullish.
Yes lots happened in between but if Ed could get it so wrong with his qualifications and knowledge why should I take much note of armchair geologists, reservoir engineers and aspiring oil company CEOs who post on here. :-)
That's deeply intellectually flawed and wholly inconsistent with the facts, rfarfa. For weeks now I've posed questions to prolific posters who know the answers fine well. And not a peep out of you. You're more tangled up than a New York pretzel.
Ok then, rfarfa. Fast forward to me posting the questions. Are you going to examine them forensically and get together with your fellow shareholders to press the chairman for answers or are you just going to throw your toys out of the pram as per 16:12 indicates? Can you not understand why your posting history and completely biased stance towards me/cbaron/olderwiser/rabito79 v's the prolific posters does not give me any confidence whatsoever?
The lack of engagement from the more polite end of the 88E shareholder spectrum has surprised and disappointed me. if our positions were swapped, I'd want to make damn sure, from someone who if nothing else is obviously experienced in the stockmarket, the questions were posed and given a right good examination.
Metaphorically sitting on the ground with your fingers in your ears is completely inappropriate for equity investors, unless you enjoy losing money of course.
Once again willing to make the bullets, but unwilling to fire them!
It's becoming a somewhat monotonous repetitive trait.
Perhaps the definitive answer as to why! Would be enlightening for BB members.

Hi Villa01 – I note your post dated as above.
I typed out what I considered a thoughtful and courteous response to your post. I was just about to publish the response when I had a quick scan through your posting history. Turns out you’re not quite the objective, sincere and equitable fella you portrayed in Thursday evening’s post.
So, as I consider how best to reply to you (and your questions are pointed and good fwiw), I’ve got some questions for you.
I didn’t much like the post about Hampshire constabulary and fraud, Villa01. This is not a subject for sarcasm or to win a debating point with another anonymous poster on a bulletin board. 88E has a market cap of c.£200m. *If*, and I repeat a thousand times “IF”, there was indeed fraudulent conduct, that’s a load of shareholder value potentially going in a puff of smoke.
Here’s what I have to say. I *do* have concerns about 88E’s activities in 2021. I have questions which I would imagine will be of interest to UK and Aussie shareholders. NB. They are questions, *not* accusations. If I do decide to share them with you and everyone else on this public bulletin board, what are you and your fellow shareholders going to do about it? If the questions appear reasonable and fair, rooted in logical thinking and not just emotional swipes, will you and your fellow posters commit to: collating the questions; communicating them to the 88E Chairman; requesting a written response from the Chairman complete with his permission to publish his answers on this bulletin board? Let's start with the 14 people who "recommended" your post of Thursday evening, eh?
Or are you (+14) going to throw your collective toys out the pram like a toddler and state that anyone who has anything negative to say about 88E and its valuation *must therefore* be untruthful/a troll/a paid deramper/mentally ill or any of the other stuff levelled at me, Rabito79, cbaron, olderwiser, etc?
IMHO, Villa01, you (+14) *need* to accept intellectually and emotionally that just because someone has something negative to say about one of your investments does *not* mean that they are factually incorrect or that they don’t have a fair point.
If you undertake to read my questions with an open mind and then vow to communicate, along with +14 others, those questions to the Chairman then I will commit to providing you with the questions I have. What say you?
Good luck to you Villa - I like your style!!
Sorry - a bit sozzled tonight, but still appreciate the regular good guys truthful posts.
Come on.....Villa. I believe you
Come on
Thanks Redirons, but it's no attempt to turn tables. I'm just a thick "workman" that has earned a few quid to invest in 88. I just want a straight yes or no, giving me the educated, advised by Scot information to approach Hampshire constabulary with a potential fraud case.
Great attempt at turning the tables on Scot126 Villa01 - but I fear and predict that you will get a written volley back from Scot126 that will deflect and challenge and seek to prolong and exacerbate his point of view only, unless of course he reads this and then he might answer your specific point but will he be able to avoid spouting his own points and trying to elicit more responses from you. It’s a real dilemma for the poor chap that will be killing him inside!!
BRAVO!!! - Villa01
Good evening Scot
Thank you for your direct reply and sharing your thoughts earlier today. It's safe to say this particular thread has been interesting, to say the least. I think we can all agree that the 88 Energy PR team have worked tirelessly to deliver a strong message via A.G.'s dulcet vocabulary, all be it demonstrated by today's 10+% blue UK close. Spin? Maybe. Sentimental gain? Probably. The coming days will show.
I am the first to admit my knowledge of trading and related financial acumen falls way below yours, and other posters on this board, and yet again I state that I will only join debate when I feel knowledgeably capable of doing so. I have in my own career gained a HNC and chartership within the construction industry, far far different to fiscal study so stand corrected (rather than being attacked on this board by some for being a dullard that can't spell).
Over the recent weeks, and this post in particular I can't help but think that perhaps you feel that there could be some form of underhanded activity occurring within the 88e organisation? Again my question is not a challenge, gauntlet or indeed reason to debate, but I ask you this;
Do you feel that somewhere either here in the UK, Oz or Alaska there have or are continuing underhanded actions being carried out by the company that are in breach of the regulations set out by the various authorities that appertain to control and monitor the market?
Again, please do not take the question as being accusational or defamatory, it's just a feeling I get whilst reading your posts that I am more than happy to be corrected on. If the answer happens to be yes, and I sincerely hope I am wrong, do you not feel obliged to report it to said authorities and expose those culpable of criminal offence?
These are only my thoughts and opinions, and forgive me for asking however I think that if you feel 88e have embarked on such action, we as shareholders should know.
Kind regards
Villa.
Thanks for filtering me. I can carry on without someone stuck in the past attempting to interrupt me, giving myself free reign to spout my feelings to the several hundred would be investors who might buy or sell judging on a one sided debate. Childish idiot.
Congrats Ecuagold - instead of apologising to me which I told you I wouldn’t hold my breath for - you now disrespect the dead. I don’t need to read your posts any longer either so consider yourself filtered. (Phew what a relief) this Board can get back to looking forward to a positive drilling winter season.
Couldn’t care whether they are invested or not Rfarfa - they still seem hellbent on sabotaging any positivity left in this share and for that reason they remain anonymous to me (courtesy of the filter button).
If you're still banging on about Basinsky, you have a serious problem. The company has moved onto other sites, added billions of shares, and put icewine on the back burner.
In that case, he only needs to bu y one share to meet his objective!
If it is Scot126 or Cbaron you are talking about Rfarfa - it’s because that’s not part of their game. They want to unnerve and rattle anyone and everyone in 88E - there is no altruistic reason as it is unlikely that they are even invested. So why do they do it? Either to get the price even lower, or as has been suggested they get paid per post and double for responses, or they have sad lives with nothing better to do. The sooner they are ignored by everyone, the sooner they will go away. Another bizarre aspect is that the SP here is 1.6p so clearly this share is a major gamble that it will come off. If it were derisked by now the SP would be many multiples of this. So why question all the things that could go wrong or remain unanswered to the nth degree - how much lower can this share plummet - that’s why I prefer to read Brom and Moda’s posts (and a few other I could name from over the years) as they focus on the possibilities (positives) we have here. I met Paul Basinski (RIP) a true professional and master of his trade at an 88E shareholder meeting in London and his exuberance and belief that 88E are onto something in Alaska was and is enough to convince me to invest, to stick with it to the bitter end and to filter/ignore those who profess to know even more than PB - ruddy ridiculous!!! So fwiw I get angry by such types who try to “hit” this share with nowhere near the knowledge of PB and for what reason?? All I ask is true 88ers make their own mind up and do not be swayed by the unsettling posts designed with mischief in mind. I might be dogged in filtering and not replying to these posters but honestly their white noise has nothing to do with whether 88E succeeds or not and I am no longer wasting time reading their attempts at proving their credibility when I was lucky enough to meet the main man (PB) myself. VGLA true 88ers!!
Because he isn't a shareholder. '

Logically one has to ask, Why do you not raise the question yourself?
17:41, 18:18 and 18:44
Just checked the 88E website. 88E appears to be subject to the obligations described in AIM Rule 26. As such, will we have to wait until 22/11/21 for the Top Shareholders Report? FWIW I know what I would do if I had a reasonable sum invested in 88E. I'd investigate whether I could purchase the shareholder list from the registry (I did so many times during my broking career in Oz) and, providing that was still an available option, I'd buy that list to examine Dave Wall's holding and APDC's holding (if indeed APDC's holding isn't already zero). Wonder what Katie in NJ would make of that? Do none of you UK and Aussie shareholders not have the faintest inkling that something's not quite right here?
Poster with >25k posts, posters who are able to quote/refer to the historical words and actions of Great Bear personnel from a decade ago, posters who go suspiciously quiet whenever standard factual questions are posed to them directly, attempts to intimidate posters from continuing to publish comments, APDC sells stock in the spike, Merlin-1 budget missed by >$16m (!!!!!), APDC contractors = related party transaction?, no flow test at Merlin-2 planned with no explanation, no replies to shareholders' questions from the company, continued publication and highlighting of Pmean guidance where P50 would be far more accurate and appropriate......and on, and on.
Simple example? We continue to read about the 1.6bbo discovery at Merlin, correct? Using the CoS figures FROM THE COMPANY ITSELF, the probability of achieving that figure is <1%. How many readers of this thread can honestly say they already knew that?
