I bet you enjoyed watching that Yorkshire water advert😥
My Mother : Yorkshire.
My Father : Yorkshire.
I was born in Yorkshire
What does that make me ?
as Cecil Rhodes said :
"Remember that you are an Englishman, and have consequently won first prize in the lottery of life."
If you were born in Yorkshire it's a double rollover......
I must apologize. Howezap I have only myself to blaim , didn't mean to be nasty to Ma. I am now on the wrong side of the seventies age wise and I am down about 15 grands with xtr.Not a lot for someone else perhaps but bad enough for me.And Ma obviously you have every right to say what you want about xtr. Same applies to me. Let's hope you are right and I am wrong!
What does that make me ? Beef stroganoff with spaghetti ;)
Hz - apologies if l have come across wrong. I want this share to give you a very good investment return as l appreciate that you have put in a tremendous amount of research over the years.
Roughy
Good post
Apologies then Roggy, it was just how I felt you came across in that post. I know you have been disappointed with this investment so far, is understandable. It may have taken longer than most anticipated or were led to believe, but it certainly does not mean that BR is not going to be a desirable project for someone. The company are on a stable footing now with revenue, im sure a turnaround will come soon when sentiment changes and investors start piling back in looking for value.
Not a bigot at all ! Just highly irritated
by the continuos boosting of a share wich is to all accounts not performing and loosing me money. The last few months the original and interesting posters have gone and all its left is gabble by some that have a secret agenda. All I want is my money back !
Didn’t take you for a bigot Roggy, what has Ma done to deserve that comment other than share her own research and positive outlook, also expressing what they see in how hidden value will come from the very company that you are invested in.
Stay were you are, not welcome in my country! You know who I am talking about , happy you can't make it to my country of birth also. Persona non grata. In any case you will most probably, after you became an Xtr millionaire, move to No 1 Maisonettes Dubai .
Hope after the usual bs AGM you two are going to disappear as fast as you arrived.
Yes agree NtM I can recall him predicting ‘shortly’ after the invasion of Ukraine that it would come to a conclusion very soon after with negotiations. I do believe his short term copper predictions were more in hope than of an educated prediction.
Who could have known though
But whatever the demand shortfalls have been globally, the price overall has held firm against supply concerns already.
Has been rotten timing since end of drilling with a global downturn, there is no doubting that.
Last one before I log off for the evening:
CB was utterly wrong in his short term view on the price of copper.... part of his job here is to have a good - 'expert' - view on that.. granted it's a lottery... but he failed prodigiously in that context recently... (You need to be at least one of good or lucky in this game.. ideally both, of course)
I do not want CB to resign (but I do want him to succession plan with a view to retiring in a year or three's time)
>>I think Howzap is a fine poster
I agree too, I hope you don't think I'm disrespecting you HZ. Not the case at all!
Bird on the other hand, I just wish he'd do the honourable thing and resign.
Good debate guys.. merit on both sides .. fair play to you both.
(Towards me getting off the fence: While I think Howzap is a fine poster, ongoingly making many good points and I'm very thankful for him here ..and while I also think the market is being very harsh on valuing BR at zero currently.. I'm still leaning towards Gixxer's perspectives generally here, around this time: $10m plus? spent on BR to date and the market - guessingly granted - currently valuing BR at zero is frightening to me; the market price at whatever moment in time is the benchmark the game is played against)
Whatever anyone says, he's stringing out the economic modelling and I think he was hoping the copper price would go up enough to get him out of the mire sooner rather than later. The EM is at least 4 months late and it will continue not to materialise until copper goes up or he commissions a new drilling campaign to deflect the flack.
He's in a corner and he's got three days to RNS his way out of a tense AGM.
Come on gixxer, so he specifically said it would be sold by last year? I can distinctly recall the comment that they hope they won’t still be here by then! Two completely different things.
Unless I had missed that comment, but he said ore implied a lot of things, I grant you that.
Comon HZ - He was telling the market it would be sold last year!
Do you honestly still believe BR is viable at current cu prices?
>>Do you really think he'd be bothered do to any of that if it was unnecessary?'
Of course he would, he would be doing himself, the company and us shareholders a disservice if he wasn’t trying to create additional value wherever it can be found. That’s his job!
No rush, in your own time !
HZ - No disrespect but Newcrest have no plans to sell?! so want to optimise.
I refer to my previous comment 'Do you really think he'd be bothered do to any of that if it was unnecessary?'
Gixxer. No disrespect but Cadia is trialling ore sorting, which is one of the most efficient and economic mines there is. Ore sorting tech is the way to go.
>>>The latest data has shown that's still not enough - so they are left scratching their heads with what do to next....
How on earth have you come up with that conclusion when you simply don’t know what the economic modelling is showing even before pre-concentration, and certainly after then, in that respect.
It’s all about what they can prove to be a viable start up proposition and not about how big the resource is or should be now.
The success of BR for shareholders will be how attractive an IRR figure from a reasonable forecast copper price, compares with other projects around and not necessarily it’s just from its NPV.
>>The share price will do what it does for now until there are clear signals that will show a more realistic company worth.
IMO - the languishing SP is solely down to Bird and how he's massively mislead the market in terms of the value of BR . (some might say even lied to the market). The market simply has no trust in him.
What was he telling CE/CB at the late AGM - 25p+ It would be funny if our money was not at stake. In the meantime, Bird has given himself a pay rise at a level which basically means he gets a free run at XTR, we've paid for all his share buys.
The only reason the company has gone down the route of ore sorting investigations is BR is simply not a viable mine without it. Do you really think he'd be bothered do to any of that if it was unnecessary? The latest data has shown that's still not enough - so they are left scratching their heads with what do to next....
It was pretty much been accepted by most that the market is not going to react to Manica until actual cash in bank from profits has been reported. Well we still do not have that in black and white yet which will not be until the half year audited report.
We are still waiting on the all important financial evaluation on BR.
And of course Kakuyu is still being evaluated for development.
The share price will do what it does for now until there are clear signals that will show a more realistic company worth.
