It’s common knowledge that the share is priced atm to reflect the fact that future dividend will be in question. It also reflects the new ceo coming in on the back foot and needing to prove herself with turning it around. The trade is do you think she can and will they keep paying holders? My money is long on this one.
Is you feeling sick Danny boy?
"Is it any wonder that the CEO says they are concentrating on growing business accounts? Because they can’t keep domestic."
I'm pretty sure that isn't the reason. There are lots of opportunities on the horizon around private 5G networks and 5G network slicing, so the mobile infrastructure providers are possibly looking at a changing business model.
What I suspect is happening, is a move away from direct consumer retail toward MVNO wholesale and business, and not just at Vodafone. The mobile infrastructure providers will still operate their own MVNO's, a bit like BT's ownership of Plusnet using the EE network, but they'll move away from the direct consumer facing business and concentrate on Enterprise and wholesale. They might offer MVNO's/Government/council/Enterprise business customers slices of dedicated network bandwidth with the price negotiated against the overall network bandwidth available, so you could find a competitive market forming around wholesale bandwidth.
If their was a take over ,any price above my average of 91p would do ,but hope for £1.20
Other reasons why not to invest in Vodafone, I just wish it were different.
“ Vodafone was the second most complained about company last year, according to an Ofcom report, and they also lost broadband services for 11,000 people across the UK in April”.
Many, many more per month in Germany, the most important market for income.

"at this price surely it’s a takeover target "
For me, these type of ideas are a nonsense...because shareholders have ZERO interest in discussing with anyone who pops up with a nonsense conditional, non contractual, informal, " offer to take it off your hands" nonsense ....it would go....nowhere IMO
The second half of the decade should bring good returns for Telecoms in general ...IMO...and I wouldnt entertain any kind of daft offers that dont recognise that...
The recent large investors who may look to hold for say a decade, arent going to wet themselves right now just because there is a share price drop ...
News last friday, amazon involved, defo imo
Yes,not very good
Does anyone know the latest situation?
Agree at these prices i wouldn't be surprised of a takeover E& and liberty could join forces then split the group...Question is how much a share will you be willing to accept?
Are we going to reach a new low Ex Divi at this price surely it’s a takeover target,Breakup value alone got to be worth it.
Danny boy, is that you?
Stick a bag over it and I might give it a go….bet MDV goes like the clappers
'No one surely wants to see any more of her cleavage - nice silk shirt though'
Yep, nice blouse. I think I saw her in a mini skirt when Franceso was promoting vodafone red. I dont know how anyone gets productive at Vodafone with a CEO eye candy like MDV. Reminds me of Margaret Thatcher. Now that was a real strong lady
MDV should undo another button on her shirt for the next update. Bailey et al will not be able to concentrate.

"Another is the energy costs, which are falling much faster than the market agents had anticipated"
But...most companies costs are hedged ...so..this year a large % will be paid at the hedging price...not the spot price
In fact...it is possible companies have hedged higher than the spot ..and customer bills may reflect that
From the gutter
"An i had knowledge of the large debt load,or I might have messed up also" (sic) Wow, prolific statement from the man
fom the gutter.
'Bailey and his audience.'
I know what you mean Android. Just like the politicians. They need something like VOD to launder rising interest rates to get something back on their 'zero rate' strategies. Its a regulated business, the culture is incestuous.

I decided to hedge and short while this is being used as a slush fund for Bailey and his audience.
66p for me please roofer. Think it will be higher during the week for the div
Of course you are hoping for the sp to drop more Jax, you are the primary deramper of the board. Don't pretend otherwise, although no one cares.
The machine is being wasted.
I would have shorted and made millions.
71.6p for next week please.
