The other operators make sure they get flyers to busy MPs with disruptive propaganda to suit their 'accumulated competitive positions' so expect all operators have been 'briefing'.
The CMA is guided by queens council and precedent. Can look to France or China for similar number market operators.
All the operators sell the same products and compete on service.
I am sure MDV/VOD is targeted on customer satisfaction like 3 et al and customers vote with their feet
All international operators have been interconnecting on agreed standards and protocols for over 40 years including Iran and any despot you care to mention.
If price increases, demand falls relative to the other operators if customers seek lower prices.
Anyway good they are debating. Agreement will also bring reciprocal trade deals in other markets and UK PLC needs them if it wants to stop shrinking imo
Good governance of course.
Evening Maloo
Not really my thing this but keeping an eye on it at the mo as I generally bargain hunt. Must say, that was a nice buy of yours back in 2020 on LGen. Hope you’ve retained those for the relatively save dividend?
Best of luck to you, and everyone else
Makes all the other trades fade into obscurity
Debated in the H ofC today.
MP for west Dorset eviscerated Voda Customer Service - hardly supportive speeches. Main concerns, loss of choice, redundancies, price increases and security because of 3 China connection.
Don’t know. HSBC had it as so
It wasn't an ordinary trade, it was Off Book at 66.8p. I don't know why some sites show Off-Book/Exchange as ordinary trades.
Well done magoo. I am in awe
Sorry, should read: that isn't correct.
Did anybody else see the ordinary trade @ 11.18am for 110 million shares? £73.480 million
Okay Maloo, let's go over it again. Now your data shows 50,000 0.6609.
So, you have bought them @66.09p per share? Is that right?
And then cost you £33,673.33. Am I right? But that is correct. It should be only £33,045
The SP was somewhere around 67P. the value of 50,000 share = £33,500. The profit was only £455, if if have bought @ 66.09p!!
Could be wish i was, he is similar age but richer, good wines age well
To seen it done it. i send a copy of my transactions and your disbelief is astounding perhaps you are seeing things ?
Maloo are you pretending to be Warren Buffet?
Oh dear, I think we are talking in a different language here.
Your figures don't make sense, if you have bought your shares yesterday!!
To long time investor but not as long as me 93 next birthday
Vodafone Group PLC (LSE:VOD) 50,000 0.6609 33,045.00 30,673.23 2,371.77 7.73 1.47 GBP GBP 1 14-Dec-23 15:32
Ceo expect the decision on 3 to be end of Dec, large vols today, briefly popped back into 65p, took a few , its a while since seen Vod buys shown on the caption at CNBC news ...atb
No, Where was the 30,673.23 came from? If you bought 50,000 shares, then it would be only 61.346p per share. The lowest SP yesterday was only 65.1p. How could you buy them at 61.346P? In fact, yesterday's SP was the record low for many many many years. No way you could buy at 61.346p!!!
Vodafone Group PLC (LSE:VOD) 50,000 0.6609 33,045.00 30,673.23 2,371.77
does this answer you?
If you make the assumption that we've bottomed for the moment and are about to move back to the upside, then I would say that looking for an entry after 65.2 makes sense, if it closes below 65 then that would throw doubt on the assumption the drop has stopped. I'll be adding after 65.2 as long as we don't put in a new low
Well, Dan I wish this is not a dead cat bounce, but a true recovery. You long suffering faithful holders deserve it. Good luck my friend. You too, have a great weekend.
Or right before they bury you
Dan dont be worried vod goes down again, there will be a point shortly where is irresistible to foreign cos.
Today interest sensitive or superhigh yielding cos went up 4 to 17pc. surprised vod didnt.
shares arent investment anymore, they move on a minister opening his mouth.
Sidi.. It's called Dutch courage, you should try it sometime. As for a dead cat bounce, I don't want that, dead cats come straight back down again. Have a good w/end. Cheers.
It is always darkest just before the dawn
The forward P/E for 2024 is now about 9.3 which historically is cheap....but... the market is really pushing the BOD for better performance , and wants to see it, to believe it ...especially in the likes of Germany where they invested billions and yet managed to take their eye off the performance ...hence one reason for the SP kicking
