Thanks for posting link Mirasol, it may not be so bad, and one of my 1603 concerns is negated.
Oddins, "yet"
:-)
Fortunately, we aren't an oil and gas giant.
Yet.
confirms a temporary windfall tax on oil and gas giants to fund the payments.
"The Energy Profits Levy is an additional 25% tax on UK oil and gas profits on top of the existing 40% headline rate of tax, taking the combined rate of tax on profits to 65%."
From the Govt announcement
"To appropriately tax the extraordinary profits, companies will not be able to offset previous losses or decommissioning expenditure against profits subject to the levy."
From the Govt announcement
Who started this nonsense about 65% on profits? 25% maybe. Assessment for taxes on profits at 40% is only after deduction of capital allowances and losses brought forward.
She loves the attention just like me
Wahooooooo !!!!!!
Micky, I got to take the dog to the vet.
Watch oil price rise an think of me .... Lots of love x

would like to see all of them , the LTHs have been through the mill , lots of promises , think we need all three , would be great if it happened
Micky, sure, the maybes would give it a lift, the know things less likely. Anyway, what's your beef, he asked us for opinion, we gave (twice in my case!)?
Miln , yes exactly , all in the equation
Gojo I would have thought planning appeal, the others should be priced-in (yes I know they really aren't). Also getting WN to flow.
all maybes? Miln

dividend ,
A Dividend GoJoe.
Agreed MickyBee, it was announced on Monday "US$6 Million Net Revenues Reached at Wressle" and today we are lower than the close of Friday so little seems to have much positive impact
All the news seems positive with debts being paid back and talk of dividends etc , Heid and the price of BRENT climb but here and now as investors we are not seeing positivity reflected in our portfolios, I admire her positivity and research but I am here to make a return on my investment
What do you think will be the catalyst that will see a return for investors ? Planning consent, dividend details, share buybacks ?
Heid we are .1375p in old money , nearly 5 pence less than consolidation , absolute no shareholder value , nice you keep saying Uncle dave is banking it . What is happening at Wressel? ( still testing?) WN , thinking about something? , Biscathorpe , well something may happen . That is why there is no interest from institutions
Heid Xmas now , eagerly awaiting your 2023 predictions , , 2019 , 2020 , 2021, 2022 all wrong , oh and UKOG , remember Uncle Steve ????
RNST....Uncle Dave will follow what the dynamic duo are doing over at Reabold Resources invest in future 'opportunities'. What a heavenly gift the Government has given him to change an otherwise 'assumed' course of action.
Notice Heid is hedging her prophetic bets on a certain dividend now.
And you can't off set previous losses

I assume the tax will be on declared profits rather than dividend, and we still have headroom from historical capex?
Excellent time to diversify at no cost to the company, get it ready for the late 2030’s on another road to success.
