Underlying strength in metals...
Can the bulls gird themselves to crash through $1860 gold and $4.75v copper next week...
Is this the start of the metals bull run...?
Have a god weekend one and all...
Agreed Damers
Day to day doesn’t matter but always better to see a + number ….. bit of damage limitation with the Ut @25.85
but copper still up for the day.............
Sounds a bit perverse, but the SP may be less relevant than copper price as we head towards negotiations.
not a good day:(
UNB1 - whilst your intentions are no doubt honourable, you'd be better off campaigning for world peace, or the likes of.
This is a bulletin board. Open to all who sign up. There are a range of participants, both buy and sell side.
Calling for harmony especially on a Friday as we head into another exciting weekend is good, hopefully people adhere. Judt worth remembering that the general underlying motive here is the creation of wealth and that brings with it both savoury and unsavoury behaviours.
What LSE has allowed is the forming of a couple of closely moderated groups of SolGold shareholders. Groups that aren't censored by any stretch but where politeness and respect are the Staple whatever the day of week it is.
Hear hear!
Second that!!!

Cheers damers, and likewise.
Although I don’t post to intentionally get or want “recommends,” I would though this time want to say thanks overall to those that supported my comments in this thread with or without comment. I too, often don’t overly comment as if it’s a must/need or a habit to respond to everything. I know it’s inevitable for some on any board that will still want to cause trouble, be argumentative for the sheer hell of it, ONLY see it from their angle and so on.... life would be more pleasant and productive on here if we just took a short moment to think.... before posting.
Response therefore not needed.
Ok, done. Have a great weekend to all.

Metals prices are moving higher again this afternoon....
kitco prices ..http://www.kitconet.com/images/quotes_7a.gif
I am guilty of hanging on to stocks on the downward slide myself UNB1 and yes bloody frustrating. In retrospect I should have top sliced when we hit 28.45p before the New Year, but hindsight is a wonderful thing.
I am defiantly guilty of being over-positive and always read and digest the counter arguments, and yes there are folk on this BB who know their stuff so it's great to get their insight.
best of luck in the coming months UNB1
@ damers and ToS - cheers both for more pleasant responses. Been here since getting in @ 21p so I’m doing fine really. apart from GKP, solg is my longest standing investment. GKP have given out some cracking divis and recouped about 40% at least (without specific calculations) just on divis, so therefore happily trundling along.
Looked to exiting solg at 38 on it’s previous high, set a close, busy with other stuff at the time and it got close but ggggrrrr not close enough. Just short of 37 if I recall. Then did the old chestnut thing which I’m sure many if not all of us have done at some point and then hung on for reversal back up for it to drop quite a lot. Then on, with all the “shenanigans” going on @ solg I took a more “invested” approach, increased my research, including info on here as there are some very well informed investors, despite having to rifle through the silly games some play on here.
One thing I would say, if I may be so blunt, and not to cause friction, but I think some on this board get so consumed by their own blinkered convictions that whatever someone else might say, suggest, state or inform us of.... that they just won’t accept it beyond any reasoning. This is often where the squabbling happens, and it’s quite sad to see. Almost as though they have to “outwit” the other. Being facetious here.... but we don’t have know what time someone eats their breakfast at solg. This, one could also say is like a jigsaw puzzle, perhaps of 500 pieces but not 10,000. Over analysing can play games with where your path really is.
The above paragraph is meant with well being believe it or not and hopefully some of you read and absorb.
There you have it, I’m still here, and being in at 21, then this could really be very fruitful on a longer game.
Side note.... I tend to work off TA and fundamentals and they can often work separately as well as hand in hand.
Ok, to all, have a great day. Stay positive and please let’s try to have a more pleasant board here on.
Kindest regards to all,
UNB1
* SP up about 25% in the last 2 months
* Majors are looking to invest this year
*Precious metal prices rocketing up
* Only good news being published about sector & metals
* Copper on a bull run for next decade
* Less than 5 months to PFS
* The core samples coming out of Rio are that bright I am having to keep my rose tinted glasses on.
UNB1 don’t fret it, you are certainly not alone in your frustration. And as for the often expressed view that gold price has any connection with our SP, it’s clearly laughable, anyone bothering to do the slightest bit of historical research would easily conclude otherwise.
Stay confident in whatever initial research prompted you to invest here. There’s been no catastrophic news which would change any of the fundamentals, it’s just a matter of waiting.... and as I said yesterday, my personal view is that the wait will be under 12 months.
Byron.... I don’t believe I’ve been rude to you at any time.
You called me “bud” and then immediately belittle me.
I had one, just one, moment of airing frustration. I think plenty on here have had those at some point.
Main reason I don’t often post on here is for all the in-fighting that goes on
Just sell bud - more patient and experienced investors will buy your shares
And metals across alllooking good, it’s utterly painful to watch our sp go virtually nowhere. Certainly after some here say solg reacts to gold prices.
I appreciate this is a complex company with lots going on but this is rising slower that watching a blocked egg timer.
Not often I get frustrated but on solg.... so frustrating
Soap box moment done
