I'd be happy with it @37p pre pfs level - a nice 125k profit
Would go down a treat
Why is it greed?
SolGold made the discovery. They were entitled to have a go developing it.
It just so happens that the developing part was managed pretty horrendously during a challenging time around the globe and the cost of capital has since accelerated away from us.
But there's nothing at all to say that a company has to immediately monetise any discovery it makes. SolGold never gave any impression that monetisation was a priority pre the CGP merger either, so investors only have themselves to blame for buying it as a takeover story.
Also, let's have it right. NCM standstill ended and they didn't move - instead they did a JV with GGP. BHP standstill ended and they didn't move despite being hungry for copper. It has taken adding Jiangxi and still nobody has moved at the time of writing.
Maybe as investors we have to just admit we missed getting off at the top of the discovery phase or we misread the length of the story.
As far as we know the strategic review continues. What it yields we will see. Still think it could be March at the earliest myself.
Bubble...thats the UT...again...
50p for starters Orthern...can't change the past...surely nobody will complain even at 50p...?
Whilst I think BHP and NCM might well be out of the picture now, I can't see either of them just handing over their 10% stakes for a loss and letting the Chinese walkaway with it easily. I think BHP/NCM are averaged in nearer 30p levels. Norges about the same.
If it goes for sub 50p it would be a disappointment but would also need the above big players to just chuck their cards in easily. Can't see that happening.
Tier 1 assets rarely go cheap. They nearly always go for fair price/industry benchmark levels minus the usual risk/regional/political discounts.
The same old ill informed investors were saying the same thing on Noront last year. 23 cents and going no where fast and in need of finance and not looking too great with Wyloo controlling things. Within a couple of the months the price had doubled and then doubled again.
Today's share price has absolutely nothing to do with asset value or bid / auction situations.
Youll look like Rip Van Winkle Orthern...aint coming mate...
The word GREED is the word Monte, GREED over common sense.
It would serve the greedy bastards right.
I just want my money back, which is 100% from here !
I'll take more if it's offered though.
Obviously.
That , right there.... is exactly my concern.. I think we are all going to be disappointed/underwhelmed with any monetisation deal. Certainly anyone who still thinks the price is going over 50p or towards a £1.
If this is sold soon and we only achieve a small premium on current share price, you have to say Nick and the board got it totally wrong. We could have sold this 5 years ago for the same money.
Ego over common sense?
Big late trade there
Have a lovely evening all.
We shall have our day eventually.
:)
Yes Orthern or you'll soon end up smelling of Boolsheet, just like tinyray lolzzz

looks like everyone is on to Vast and that why we are so light on volume.
I'm going to stop shaving and washing until the strategic review is completed and released.
I don't know Sid100.
I look at the facts.
The 50 million we know is for Cascabel alone.
We are awaiting the Strategic review.
The two are linked as the Strategic review is about advancing Cascabel.
It has been announced Cascabel is not for sell.
So hopefully the strategic review will show us the direction of travel.
@Quady: what was the reason for Sangha's 50m investment)? Some say a loan to keep the lights on until a buyer comes omg. What is your opinion?
For*
I'm tempted to a few more and take me over the million mark.
Hmmmm
Usual afternoon activity expected once north americàn markets are open?
Looking forward to the update on the use of hydro electric power in the new presentation. Been just over two years in the making, so should be highly informative.
