Down 120% from 3 or 4 years ago Rodney. Keep up
I think it's down to SOLG management to deliver news or updates that force the mm's to rerate the share price. It's entirely fair for the mm's to mark down or price the stock at low levels if they feel there is zero news and weak demand.
We are just 10 weeks away from end of H1 and despite the MD&A stating that there was a planned $5m+ for regional exploration... where is it?? I genuinely don't understand why SOLG haven't just used $2m or so to drill a few holes on Rio or another target. Unless of course permits and the locals are making it hard for them. Eitherway, even if plans are to split the company and put exploration into a newco or vice versa with ensa etc... it wouldn't hurt to drill a few holes and use some of the workforce which you are paying a salary to!
DM has it right , it's simply down to unwinding shares for executives who have left the business and 898,886 and amounts to 0.03% of shares in issue, ie irrelevant.
This has just become another opportunity for the mm's to make hay out of poor communication by SOLG investor relations people.
SP is important when negotiating jv's, bond issues etc and the mm's couldn't care less what effect their trading has on the perceived value of the business.
Chinese data out this morning looks positive for miners/ explorers going forward
Fortissimo, they should be clear in approximately two weeks so may bounce likely imho let's see ,news none existent ATM that book squaring and proposals must be complete by now though ,NM must be pondering what next imho
Up just under 21% year to date (including the drop yesterday).
Just been sitting here musing over the near 10% drop in the sp. And the claims made about multi alias posters and so called infesters. Or as some claim posters actually employed to bring the sp down.!!!!!!!!!.
I can't decide if the so called infesters / 5th columnists bring the price down. Or if its panicked, good news tomorrowers, trying to deflect the fact that it's the running of the company thats the reason for the demise in the share price. Be interested in others views
They say a week is a long time in politics.
But what about solg.
Go back to last week, sp rose a couple of pennies,
The board was awash with excited chit chat.
50p by the weekend, bottles of champers, holidays, take over imminent, no holding us back now, here we go.
Then today, drops a few pennies,
The talk is of infesters and hope it doesn't go down to 16p.
Im wondering if the mm can see storms on the horizon for solg.
Interested to read your post rk. Telling us Lasso wants cascabel in production by 2025. Be interested on your views how this will be achieved. Bearing in mind cascabel is at the moment almost mothballed, and 2025 is 20 months away.
Hi AnnaN
Yep need to bounce and regain & hold 20p

Don’t wanna lose 19 matey
The rise from 13 to 22 is a three wave move so far don’t want to see the mar 6th high of 19.3 compromised

I haven't watched the fight so can't comment. I see the sp dipping over the next few days. Let's see.
Blackrock still have 15m or 20m shares and they seem to be dumping it regardless of price.
If the mm's have 10m Blackrock order and have 10m Koncave buy order then they'll match it at pre agreed level.
That could be 19p.2p like past weeks or it could be 20.2p or 18.2p etc. MM's have been moving price based on higher volume deals in almost a two book basis. One for pi's and one for ii's.
I think sub 19p might be tested but can't see sub 18p. I think Scotts 17p 30m options suggest even he thought that was great value.
More buyers at sub 20p than at 22.5p that's for sure... for now!
RSI has fallen ba ck nicely...
Theres underlying strength IMO...unless someone has a strategic reason to pummel this...
What's your view on the current sp Anna?
Oh dear Slug...
Red will keep ramping because he's deep underwater and needs his kids' inheritance back before anyone realises he sunk too much in. Or before he dies.
Slug will keep getting banned because he can't help the GB news-flavoured bile he's been fed on Telegram spilling out.
Bubble will keep repeating what everyone says until he's granted a brain. Poor love.
And I'll keep being correct, and reminding rampers of this fact, all the way into next year.
Remember to apply the logic test: if the smart money thought we were going to be taken over soon, we wouldn't be sub-1bn cap. When the first bid is due, we'll be plenty up. And, on cue, enter:Brainless Noront BS!
I'll leave you all to your party. Just don't spend 3 months of your life on here.
It was quite clear from Bob's aggressive comments last October that he expected a quick sale.
Probably also, that an attractive price would be paid, either by the Chinese paying top dollar or a Chinese bid stimulating competition, similar to Noront.
The unacceptable incompetence and delays in producing the Prospectus had a downside in losing momentum for a sale, but a potential upside in giving more time for prospective bidders to review the opportunity and how much it is worth.
But now it seems another problem (or opportunity, depending on which way you look at it) is the other 70 plus prospects, aside from Cascabel.
Problem, because prospective bidderds may not want the complications of dealing with, developing or disposing of those other prospects, whether it is the 'small' projects or the sexy ones.
Some of us on here have always assumed that the tax consequences of selling off the Cascabel project militated against such a sale and Nick has previously intimated as much.
However, it seems to me that those consequences may be mitigated substantially by Cascabel now being 100% owned.
Furthermore, SOLG has $150m of accumulated losses, even before any 2023 losses. Add to that CGP accumulated losses of $89.6CDN or $67USD
Finally, Lasso is mad keen that Alpala should be producing in 2025...
So maybe a rising option would be selling Cascabel (i.e. ENSA) to, say the Chinese, banking the proceeds and embarking on selling some or proving up some of the other exciting prospects...
After all , as they said in February:
"SolGold's team has the capacity to perform in-house at a significantly lower cost, allowing room for capital to be allocated to Cascabel and other high-priority targets to benefit all stakeholders."
And in November:
"We will also focus on advancing our highest priority exploration targets within our large exploration portfolio in Ecuador using our proven methodology. "
And of course October:
· a spin-out of assets, other than the Cascabel Project, to all shareholders of the Combined Group;
· the direct or indirect acquisition of an interest in ENSA and/or the Cascabel Project howsoever effected; or
· any other transaction or series of related transactions as may be agreed to between the Parties.
Anna, first I've heard of him tbh ,but agree with you on the infester
For clarity, I'm not implying that HH and slug are the same person. HH might struggle with English but he's a lot brighter than that cretin!
Interesting. He and slug both talking about swap positions...
He knows his stuff SharketMare by looks of things Hubrishunter
HubrisHunter's take on 1981's claims: https://twitter.com/hubrishunter/status/1647986943551246338?s=20
Search team has it in the disclosure, definitely. As I say, it's at least double. Short of giving you the name of the CT (obv can't do that!) I've made it as clear as I can.
Slug, your references to 'swaps' show you have absolutely no clue about main-lines, covers, defence or ind/dir, and this is why I wanted to check Add (or anyone) would understand an explanation. You probably have less idea here than you do about temperature (and that's saying something!). Take your brand of ugly stupid elsewhere - I'll ignore you.
Just hurry up and get this sold ..
It's becoming boring , the way it's being played.
