Not like you to be airing pessimistic views on here Bozi.
Orthern, no. Once Fawzi had been given the heave-ho, that was it - no more communication. The next time they come begging for shareholder votes I'll be sure to make the point.
Sorry Add - went completely over my head.
I'm just getting pretty miffed here. I get these guys are rationalising the workforce and it's often tough and not fulfilling work, but I just wish the company would recognise it needs to do more with the wider market. This week was a great opportunity to do that.
MDA after hours maybe today?
Has anyone here had any responses from emails to investor relations over the last 2 months? Any at all?
Bozi, only pulling your leg...it's Friday!
Bozi, yep agree well I'll give couple more weeks then am gone ,had enough of this share now
Bandit - if I had to guess I'd say not the former.
But I'm staler than some of the other SOLG bulls and I could of course just do what bulls do best... Crap everywhere.
Add - we can all tell each other how wonderful things are if you wanted but it wouldn't be very helpful.
We can all hang on to the company being in full takeover talks if you want but there's no telling if that would be accurate.
So what's the point. We might as well call it for what (we think) it is and be honest with each other.
Fort ,yep the A trades have basically destroyed any real movement in this share imho have been for a long time now ,almost played by an institution or similar on a daily basis,am guessing they make quite a bit out of it on a weekly basis imho but hey ho just my theory !!:)
Our new CEO ( lost count how many we have had) was gifted a huge opportunity in March. We are still waiting for the conditions attaching thereto. I would expect that he would feel the need to engage and communicate with shareholders who will have a vote on this grant. So, either he is flat out on a transaction and there are more important things to do or he does not feel that a CEO has a duty to shareholders and therefore he should not receive the support of shareholders. Which is it?
And the sun finally breaks through the clouds in the form of another uplifting post!
They'll be more selling volume some time soon if SOLG continue this charade.
The company hasn't a hope of delivering value to shareholders.
Why isn't it singing and dancing about the FTA for Ecuador and the additional investment that brings?
I'm not sure it's because they're about to be subject to a multi major-multi billion pound bidding war.
Mm's must be starving
Blackrock taken a breather or our buyer gone awol.
In typical SOLG style, we'll probably get 9m block traded in auction lol!
Exciting, isn't it?
Worst volume I think I've ever seen on SOLG. 119k traded?
That's almost TSX levels.
Good luck Scrat.
I have Quady. And now I’m going to stop watching the pot for signs of boiling. I’ve set a trade plan and I’ll look back in if I get a nice wake up email saying trade executed. Good luck to all, .. there is a tide which taken on the flood leads on to fortune; omitted and all the voyages of our life are mired in shallows and miseries. Just pray high tide wasn’t April 2017.
Go ahead Scrat take your own advice.
Feel free to fill your boots.
Logically, a long term and slightly contrarian investor would buy while undervalued / out of favour all the while anticipating the investment conditions changing. Not a good idea to wait as by then the sale price would have gone up!
Bonkers, for whomever takes this on (it won't be us), this is such a long term project that short, or even medium term macro conditions are irrelevant. The key determinant is; "do we believe the copper story?" - clearly, BHP and many others do.
I think the scientific thinking would suggest that high interest rates means less demand for commodities and a greater reluctance for the capital investment required to develop a large infrastructure project such as Cascabel.
So unless there is some political pressure on companies to move to prevent the Chinese from getting hold of Solg it looks like we shall need to wait a while until most of the G20 start showing some steady and significant growth.
Hi Scrat
We are massively undervalued at the moment but over time this will correct.
Theres lots of things the market will become aware of all of them.
Cost cutting
Working on improving economics
Agreements with Ecuadorean govt
Refocussing on exploration.
Once all of this becomes clear and the need to go to the market regularly to raise funds is removed the risk is reduced and we become a way more attractive proposition. The Chinese will almost certainly take this but we have to remove as many hurdles ( licenses etc) as we can in the meantime.
… never boils. So I’m stopping watching it.
Let’s all try that and trick it into a rebound.
About time we applied some scientific thinking 😂
He is filtered so I have no idea and no interest in whatever he is commenting on, however it's comforting to see that his words have no effect on us investors, so for all practical purposes he is just wasting his time. I would advise that you all filter him as well so we can all move on to better and more constructive conversations.
