Ftjny, Q thought it was 245. We'll get there eventually! In any event, as you say, it's a very large reduction.
Add - I thought he said there were 245 employees globally of which only 5 are based outside Ecuador. Either way it’s a huge saving on the previous 700+ workforce!
Good evening Talatum.
I think if he wanted to remain ambiguous about wherever BHP and NCM had entered the data room he could have phrased it differently.
He didn't.
Change for me and more than you'll ever see In your life.
Shame
°¿°
I missed it. Any link to recording or a brief summary?
Quady, I did pick that up. He said in answer to question about shareholders "that they (BHP) get same information as other shareholders and need to sign confidentiality agreement if they want more information." I took that to mean he did not want to confirm whether they were or were not in the data room.
Which basically means raymondo has found 10p in their shell suit pocket 😂😂😂
Is otherncopper desperate and highly leveraged, like yourself, most certainly not……..
Plus 2x5
20 large for me...
Copperpot, would you say you are fairly good at reading between the lines with solg? Did you expect this presentation to contain new information or to be a damp squib?
"No drilling" = "No results".
No results means the predators are off the scent a fair bit! This is a wily old move, and not just a move to preserve the cash burn ;-)
Read between the li es folks, it's a good old move.
Which year end, add? Just to be crystal clear.
Nothing there to suggest 'fast and smart', or any deviation from the expected long timeline.
*significant news*
That are looking to J/V with a major that mines ore and goes through the process of "mine building"
There's a long way to go on this journey with no significant in the near months. Enjoy the summer before its gone.
Probably drift until an offer arrives... well that depends how it's telegraphed doesn't it. Remember ortherncopper, SOLG always does the opposite to what you think.
It was 275 people addicknt.
Also if the run rate is going to be under 3 million dollars a month by August.
That means we are funded to the beginning of 2025 without taking into account the 25 million on shares.
I have always known that addicknt.
My point is a hostile bid would be expensive because of the diverse book.
Which is I guess you are on about.
First of all I feel he's on top of the brief and although he can't tell us, I'm convinced he has a pretty clear idea of where this is going and with whom.
He constantly referred to there being a 'great deal of interest', and given what we are sitting on, we shouldn't be surprised.
I was pleased to hear Citi and Maxit are working on a contingency basis. Equally, I was interested to hear just how many people we've laid-off and that offices have closed - I assume London has gone. If I heard him correctly, he said we have 205 people on the books, of which only 5 are located outside of Quito.
Do I feel more confident? Yes, because rightly or wrongly, I believe we're further down the track with our conversations with third parties than we may think. My gut reaction is that we'll see something emerge by year end.
HubrisHunter over on twitter, made a point a while back, that due to the nature/structure of how things are registered/listed etc that any sale of Alpala would technically not need an EGM vote approval.
I'm not saying he is correct, but it was an interesting technicality he highlighted..
Add - to that I would urge Scott to go and find a corporate transaction proposal and let's see if he's right.
I wouldn't be so sure myself.
BHP and NCM have been privy to restricted information in the past, yhey don't need to be on the current DR.
Indeed. I can understand NCM, but BHP? Combined, that's a decisive block of shares which may be available.
Q, I'm very reluctant to mention this and really don't want to get into an argument, but did you pick up on what he said about the share register and it not being a block to a corporate transaction?
Don't know if anyone else picked up on this, but BHP and NCM have not been in the data room.
Probably will drift yes.. almost certainly.
