Thank you guys for the article, I remember it now, the infamous article with the chest thumping and the "fast and smart" statement that has not really helped our cause.
But I agree and it is my understanding from Scott's comments that the priority set on moving the project along with the permits and the exploitation agreement and recalibrating the technical and financial side of Cascabel into the phased approach must have come out of necessity since the fast and smart did not happen until this time. And the necessity must have been the result of the conversations with the potentially interested parties.
If I had to guess, going for a smaller project at the inset points to no big sale but rather a different financing profile linked to Solg going solo with a royalty, debt and equity package, of course unless someone finally shows up to take us out of our misery.
So we are reduced to crystal ball gazing now Bozi? Reading between the lines equal guessing.
Perhaps we would have better luck setting up a fortune telling tent at the next circus in town at this rate
TI, here you go mate: https://www.afr.com/companies/mining/how-bhp-newcrest-may-lose-their-copper-prize-to-a-scrappy-crew-of-minnows-20221114-p5bxxy
TI, sorry no good with links etc. I Googled Solgold takeover and scrolled down a bit.
Add, have you got a link to that AFR article by any chance?
Bozi, I agree and believe that's exactly what's happened.
I was just re-reading the AFR article which included the interview with Sangha and it's blindingly obvious he/Caldwell have had to re-think their tactics and I suspect DC is sitting on the sidelines having a good laugh at the team.
Your comment about having been asked to tick more boxes makes perfect sense. The team most certainly wouldn't have wanted to go down this route, but have been forced into it. Mind you, I'll be more than happy if it delivers the goods. At some stage something HAS to give.
Scott's comments came at a time when Bob was wielding his super bat in the press lets not forget.
It's clear that Scott and Maxit went into SOLG with ideas of flogging the company within weeks. It didn't quite happen that way. Presumably, someone somewhere has reined them in and told them to tick some more boxes, which they have now set about doing.
That's how it looks to anyone reading between the lines anyway.
Totally agree KapilD. Scott is behaving the same way a person out of his depth would behave. Bravado without the ability to back it up. Scott also criticised earlier management only to be even more incompetent than any of them. The only thing we have to look forward to is the upcoming crunch point where the money runs out. Remember, DC caused the SP to begin it's decent when he failed to secure funding in good time. If history repeats here, we will be wiped out for sure. We can only hope that Bob is much more capable than his front man.

Hindsight is always easy, but when hospitals were at breaking point and lots of people were ill worldwide everyone panicked.
Personally I would not have had the vaccinations, however if I wanted to travel worldwide you didn’t have any choice.
Hindsight also shows that lockdowns don’t work.
You are very black and white in your views about all the contentious topics, climate, Covid etc however the truth is somewhere in the middle.
It always makes me chuckle when weather forecasters say it is the hottest day since 1896 so did climate change cause the heat in 1896, of course it didn’t.
No one really knows if climate change is a thing but there does seem to be more extreme weather these days although as you say it could be natural, however there is a chance it could be too much carbonisation.also the. Edit love to promote a good storm, gales, rainfall etc
However I’ll still bring my argument back to July 22 when at home it was hotter than Dubai, that will have never happened and is extreme. It certainly is hotter in Dubai this morning than at home 😁
However heat pumps, EVs etc work for my pocket most on here are trying to fill their pockets so each to their own
Common Scottie you strategic genius what's our next move?
Remember when you took over as CEO and immediately cancelled the DFS and told us there was no need for any further studies into Alpala, as it had already been studied to death?
Now when you get asked what are the short term price catalysts you proudly respond talking about your new study due next year sometime?
This guy is all over the shop and cannot be trusted to be frank with shareholders.
Relax gaz, things change quickly in life.
It was only two years ago, tens of Millions of dipsticks were rolling up their sleeves to take untested vaccinations for “protection” against a sniffle
Two years later only 1 in 50 is lining up for more lol. Just because they got it wrong doesn’t mean they’ll admit it
Same with this. The voices crying the end is nigh won’t be heard when they’re chasing out at a quid a share
Don't be , I should have made it clearer. I see the cowboys and Indians have nothing to say tonight? They are ever so clever , typing their notes for tomorrow no doubt.
Sorry.
Question was for putin1.
It is nothing; we are in one digit space rather than close to 75. That's frustrating.
5p , how did you work that one out? Why not 3p , or 6p? Interested how you work out your valuations.
75p? Wake me up before 5p.

You know what they say, buy when all the going gets rough, at theses prices its a steal for one of the big boys, as you say they can easily finance this themselves
Atb
No, I am far from it. But I don't think the whole world will stop building mines just because we are suddenly back to something like normal interest rates. Especially when our only likely suitors are large enough to self finance with their big cash stashes anyhow.
FatherTed,
I think you’re spreading spam, people don’t need to be fully up on mining to invest in it, a basic understanding of investing is good enough, I say this because we don’t have any control over our investments, we just have to rely on the ones in charge, if you don’t trust them then you sell up.
Many think they are an expert, but it’s out of our hands, we are just following our beliefs, which is good enough for me.
Can I ask, are you an expert then?
Atb
I've had ham sandwiches with a deeper understanding of mine building than you display here.
Mathersfinger, I agree that the Chinese are making progress with their chip industry. USA worried that TSMC would fall into PRC hands. I am thinking that it will take time for China to find new markets to replace the USA market which they have depended on for so long. I don't care who buys solg, I just want it done before I expire like you said. I am so fed up of listening to Scott droning on about the rocks.
As long as some of that new found wealth is redistributed our way a little flying high I couldn’t give a monkey’s aunt buddy …
But I suspect that bribery and corruption would be of a catastrophic level if that was to happen buddy
I agree a stimulus package will help us... it will help all the mining sector... but I doubt it will be the same scale as in 2008..
With regard to pricing in regard to forward metal prices... I don't buy it... any agreed price, of any potential sale would be based around the here and now.. live current prices.. You don't agree a sale of a house or any asset, based on what it may be worth in the future.. (with the exception of antiques maybe) and current metal prices are where they are..
Alpala will be priced at current prices.. It would be nice if it was priced based on potential future prices, as that will benefit us... but any buyer wants a great deal, wants to pay as little as possible and will use the prices that suit them... and every potential suiter know Solgold are not in any position of strength.
As I said before Orpherncopper, the market thinks Chinese will kick off Stimulus package soon. And that bodes well for risk assets and commods.
Furthermore, surely it makes it all more important that China lands a nice cheap gold/copper tier 1 mine so that when the rest of the world is paying double the metal prices due to short supply and high demand, they'll be laughing their heads off.
And when I say cheap... anything sub 75p for Alpala is cheap based on future metal prices/forecast demand.
