Also agree with comments on this subject. I have no issue with shorting it in itself. Put on your position and then go away until you realise your gain or loss. My issue is with an unlevel playing field where a party with DMA access and capability to undertake algorythmic / high frequency trading does so with the express purpose of manipulating a share price in pursuit of a wider commercial objective - such as forcing financial challenges to then be able to take control of a business at a forced price to the detriment of other shareholders/investors.
How many parties are doing that here? Is it one / two? Who are they? Why are they doing it? Are they a potential suitor? If the answer to these is yes is it legal? And if it is not, why isn't it reported and investigated?
Rant over.

"Just means any moment now we can wake up to a substantial funding RNS for eg an Offtake"
People can either listen to the trolls who have already stated they are not invested and never will be, or they can listen to the Ecuadorian Energy Minister.
"THE ALPALA MINERAL DEPOSIT COULD BECOME THE LARGEST UNDERGROUND SILVER MINE, THIRD LARGEST GOLD AND SIXTH LARGEST COPPER IN THE WORLD.
Personally I'm holding my shares so tight my fingers are white lol. GLA
Agree with Kat on naked short selling. That isn't right. Otherwise I agree with NMM and 1984. It's part of a healthy marketplace. Some of the Hindenburg shorts and accompanying exposés show just useless regulators can be. The Tingo Group play was a fine example of this.
I suppose we shall see the same pattern as the last few days...
Price steadily rises and the gets slammed down PM...?
One aspect of shorting which already exists, but is not apparently enforced, is naked shorting, when shares are effectively created from thin air to sell, or rehypothecated, sold again and again. This blatently unbalanced, as a share must actually exist to buy it long, but as many shares can be sold short as the seller wishes. The current answer is that the shares must be borrowed from a current owner, but this seems to be ignored as it is not enforced by the regulators.
Theres no short positions showing but...
Shares on loan are 2.4% of the free float so the potential is there...
Before the end of March, new ISA money coming in from April onwards, with gold sitting at yearly highs , the SOLGOLD investment looks pretty good, imo
Agree with both points, it should be more transparent and definitely come down hard on dirty tricks
Indeed Schlem 8.56/8.59 problem is they seem to be able to drop it at will
Well, the price is being bid up
Here’s another new one you wouldn’t want to be out of this over the weekend lol
Look at the accumulation since the beginning of Feb when that huge 60m+ was printed...what that points to I have no idea, something positive I hope
The loathsome aspect of shorting is when it's done by those anonymous outfits who produce negative reports on a company in order to talk their own book. If someone wishes to engage in this activity they should be made to declare themselves publicly, including disclosing their positions, and not hide behind a cloak of anonymity.
Agree with 1984 on this one.
Nothing wrong with shorting per se. Perhaps a bit more disclosure should be required (and much more enforcement).
Spoofing and layering more harmful in my view.
Everything is locked down...company/Sangha not in contact with anyone...
No Directors/insider buys...
That has to be right, but...
Somebody jknows something and they are throwing a helluva lot of firepower at keeping the SP down...
Thanks hh/lutho
The half yearly says we applied for change of project status before 6th December not that we were awarded it
The 6 months to execute is from when the status changes. Drake had misinterpreted it
So you think the independent Qualified Person was lying, do you?
With all these fantastic offers flying around and so much demand for the cascabel, it’s no wonder the sp is flying, what’s the current sp 20, 30 or 40p 🤔
Oh hold on, it’s 8p and red ramper was buying at 30 + in anticipation of all this.
No wonder he is so sure he won’t be diluted…….
More BS from the king of rampers, his side kick, who can’t quite work out how many shares he has will be along soon telling us it should be 120p
😂😂😂
502 too many. Shorting brings extra liquidity to markets
And it’s a valuable tool for traders. Conspiracy theorists always think falling stocks are down to shorters, it’s classic confirmation bias
Heres a new one..."55p by Friday..."
Ha!
Never lose your sense of humour add!
I got mine back with over 50 filters...
RK, perhaps you could re-post that snippet, although next time for the benefit of those who find reading a struggle, could you do it in capital letters and include some pretty pictures.
Wouldn't "an acceptable offer for Cascabel or the company on the table" have to be announced?
"The Company has received an approach which may lead to a bid..."
And I believe the extratct I published below implies that they have big enough conditional offtake offers to fund the entire capital build...
In the emantime I think it would be smart to announce a 0.5% streaming offer that would fund us for 2 years or more.
Either or both of those could trigger a bid and not need to be followed up if things happened quickly enough, i.e. a sharp rise in the share price to say 30p and sale of the former CGP shares...
HfH, I could't agree more. Oh, hang on! Nothing's changed. How stupid of me.
