from the end of may (28/05/21) when posted this introducing the notion of the "pitchfork" trend depicting [framing] bit.

here's a bit on what the Andrews Pitchfork is and it's concept / use
https://school.stockcharts.com/doku.php?id=chart_analysis:andrews_pitchfork
regrettably as mentioned we didnt make a 5 up when we rallied from 20p to 37p - I'd hoped we were going to embark upon it finally...........
dont want price to fall out of the pitchfork paremeters!
we pulled down to 24p which was close to the bottom right hand corner of the fork drawn.........
we have the goods - we need to momentum from positive news on progress - CEO - resource definition - financing - offers.....
fingers crossed we start to make some progress soon!!!!

Ah yes rcgl...I forgot that IG Index removed 1200 stocks a couple of months ago, including Solgold...
lols rodders
not gone away m8y - still loiter & still keep my charts running (well they kinda run on their own if you know what I mean)
last inputs from me still stand - there's no change - however as mentioned - still need to see a 5 wave move upwards - each time we try we end up gerrin clobbered by whomever is quashing the rallies.........

Come back as a regular soon bn.c You're missed. I'll even buy you some crayons :-)
You can't short Solg on IG, in either SB or CFD. It won't let you open a sell position, only buy. As originally pointed out by BNC.
hi Rodders
there are indeed - although most take a back seat these days sadly

I see none of you have criticised Quady for his grossly insulting behaviour as a standard response to a legitimate challenge...
Anyhow, despite his further implied insult about me not understanding CFDs (he's obviously forgotten my CV)...
Jerryspaniels post at 08.33 gives more than enough information, so let me simply quote from my chosen 'provider' (I no longer use either CFDs or spread betting)
https://www.ig.com/uk/shares/markets-shares/solomon-gold-plc-SOLG-UK
"Take a position on over 16,000 shares
Get low margins when you go long or short on global stocks"
And, provided you put up margin there is nothing to stop you shorting at least 181,500 Solgold shares...
Nor any MM for that matter...CFDs are used for both trading AND hedging. I have hedged portfolios up to £4.5 BILLION...
"Margin
Your aggregate position in this market will be margined in the following tiers:
Tier Position size Margin
1 0 - 60500 Shares 25%
2 60500 - 121000 Shares 40%
3 121000 - 181500 Shares 50%
4 181500 + Shares 75%
Sorry but I can't be a***d to post anything more than this as a response to somebody who is consistently insulting.
Cheers

A pleasure Quady. The bulk of folk on here are decent people I think. One or two get 'excited' from time to time I would say but that's about it. Overall, some wonderful research is carried out by many and they generously share what they find. Overall, some good eggs here. You're one of them. :-)
Thank you Rodney.
Be careful if you say nice things about me, you will be the recipient of a clown and troll attack.
All the best.
Good to see you on here too BNC. I lurk but don’t care for a lot of the conversation ATM!
Pleeeease don’t mention imminent!! I’m allergic to the word now :)
Hope all is well at Broke Towers
Well said Quady. Nick helped us all enormously back in AGM times in Dec 2020. What he achieved then set out why these resources are difficult if not impossible to be 'stolen' on the cheap. Well said BNC too. We shareholders prefer geologists to game show hosts I would imagine.
hey up Grim'
Seen many a "Twiggy" in my time................

Much rather have grumpy NM ...............
NOW WHERE THE FEK IS OUR IMMINENT CEO APPOINTMENT??? lols.............

morning Quady - think you were typing as I was typing lols ;o]
yeah I'm fully versed in the tax burden of CFD's v S/Bets - which is why I use S/B's
you will however pay more in the spread especially the less liquid a meerkat is!
I've not gone Quady - just cant be ar-se-d with all the arguing!
Twigger - I thought was a sleazy corporate blaggard tbh - I know Nick could drone on - but my god he knew absolutely everything, could reel off all the key info at the drop of a hat and you knew he knew it - Twiggy? Nah.........slimeball - not a fan!
The comments re 4 years were Lasso's comments not SOLG's - we've already had a far more realistic timeline from KM of 2028 for Alpala production - Twiggy even stated he thought Lasso's notion was somewhat ambitious...........but hey if Lasso want's to help get us moving quicker then bring it on - cuz this pace aint doing any shareholders any favours.......[well PI's at least]..............

Aren’t we bloody just!
Yes agreed BNC spread betting would be the way to go.
I however haven't used it for Solgold, as I defy anyone to tell me which way the price will go in any direction.
I guess I wouldn't set my stop loss low enough, and thus get thrown out of a position, because of the wild swings.
All the best.
I dont trade CFD's myself but have traded SOLG via IG's spreadbets - I cannot see any CFD for SOLG on IG having had a quick look - dunno if they exist elsewhere - would be surprised due to the companies current status as we're just tryna crawl our way out from the sh-itt-y end of the market (AIM) and emerge into something much more substantial ie a proper mining company with assets, with an income stream & a development folio.............but we aint arf making a meal of it!

Morning BNC.
I am guessing you may use CFD's as people who use charts often do.
I had a CFD account many years ago, and got it the wrong way round, as many go for spread betting, go into CFD's and then go back to spread betting.
As you know you pay capital gains tax on CFD's and not on spread betting.
As Bobo hasn't risen to the bait. I will explain my point further.
With such small volume of trades, why would anyone use CFD's for a share like Solgold, as even if you did call it right you pay a large amount of tax.
You would use spread betting, as I discovered spread betting after CFD's ( don't ask me how that happened, I guess I was scared off spread betting early, as at that stage I wasn't informed enough ).
Good to see you back on here.
What did you make of this mornings presentation?
All the best.

Morning Jerry, I have seen enough from you, to say I believe you know what you are talking about. However could I ask you, rcgl2 and others like me who used to have a CFD trading account to keep quiet on this forum, until Bobo the clown answers my question. As I am pretty sure you and others know the reasons why CFD's would not be used in Solgolds instance.
I want to give this clown enough rope.
Thats easy Quady.
Deutsche, UBS, GS, JPM, Barclays, BofA. Probably another five at least. Then the small fry will back into these guys and offer it too.
I see Bobo is talking about my lack of experience in investing.
Yet all he has done is show that he has read something and not understood it.
Why on earth would anyone use CFD's within the Solgold environment. It's a risk you don't need to take.
I will leave him unfiltered so he can reply to my question.
Name any company that allows you to trade CFD's in Solgold, and show how many have been traded?
