7000/people in UK hospitals
On the FT article, I can't see how RM would be talking up his own book in the FT this (particular) week, if his book wasn't worth reading. Why would you waste your time and squander the currency you hold? Great soundbite, simple effective messaging. Forwards into battle!
Hi Scinv long time no see did you have a good break?
Synairgen (@Synairgenplc) Tweeted: Richard Marsden, CEO, recently spoke with @FinancialTimes about the work #Synairgen is doing to develop its investigational inhaled treatment of #interferonbeta. I see President Biden has had his 3rd vaccine booster shot . The only little problem is that he has probably already forgotten he has been vaccinated
Doc. Point of interest. Hospital staff shortages are becoming a matter of concern in the United States. Many states are demanding atleast one vaccine shot if a person works in a hospital or care home environment. Today is the last day before these restrictions are implemented.
Warm regards.
Nothing really. One quote from RM saying we’re just putting a protein everyone makes, but that viruses stop, back into the battleground, the battleground being the lungs.
Then talk about how antivirals might be used.
Cancelled my FT account last week. What is the jist of the article?
If the pandemic was history then a third booster shot wouldn't be necessary for the over 50s.
The government appears to be out of control of almost everything. The recent government reshuffle was a bit like shuffling the seats on the Titanic. I believe we will see more lockdowns this winter.
The CEOs of Pfizer and Moderna both believe that the World will be back to normal in 1 year with the caveat that the World's population is jabbed with an annual dose of their vaccine their vaccine ad infinitum. This must be the ultimate win-win ever.

Apologies matm, you replied as I was responding.
How can anyone answer that?
If you are heavily invested, you must know why you have done so.
If you think the market has reduced then sell some.
Winter hasn’t started yet, 36k cases in the UK today where we are heavily vaccinated.
What about bigger countries, less vaccinated countries?
Millions that can’t be vaccinated or won’t have it.
Have you read the amount of articles provided by the excellent posters on here as to the importance of therapeutics?
If so, the answer is clear.
That doesn’t mean that the SP will go to £100.
Depends on imminent data readouts, etc, etc as to the worth of our company.
Good luck whatever you decide to do
Ok you got me to bite. The data is telling a different story.
Worldwide daily covid deaths at present are at 7.5k per day higher than they were last November before anyone had even been doses with a vaccine.
- US running at 80k hospitalisations per day.
- Over half of US states have no ICU beds available.
I could go on and on with more examples....... however if you did truly feel that way about the covid situation, and you truly did have a significant holding, which I highly doubt, why would you not sell up given your belief that covid is diminishing. Doesn’t make any investment sense to me.
Think you’ve had plenty of responses mate. You’ve made your point!
As I mentioned I am heavily invested in SNG. I would be the happiest to see SNG rise but my question stems from the situation across the globe. As more and more people are getting vaccinated the situation has definitely improved and don’t think anyone can deny that. So I am trying to assess the value of SNG as of today.
Try again tomorrow @smart_inv
What about the millions who aren’t vaccinated, also?
DYOR
Smart = contradiction in terms. oh yay oh yah Covid is over lol
Rolls my eyes and gets two Asprin
I believe for people who are fully vaccinated, then yes unless another variant is around the corner.
@smart_inv wrote….."The virus is less potent now"
Is that right?
I think we are at that point where its perfectly reasonable to be tetchy. Things are reverting back to normal, we'll have to learn to live with COVID.
That's said, there will also be a need for therapeutics to tackle the horrendous side affects of having the virus. Certainly on this board it has been full of news that's edging us in the right direction however, it is a fact we will not know if we're almost there or, if there's a lot more work to be done until Thursday.
This isn't just going to be used for covid. We have needed treatments like this for years. Also just because people aren't dying doesn't mean there isn't thousands of hospitalised patients.
Roll on announcement. It can't be long now for sure.
