This does sound very shady indeed. A shareholder revolt I sense is on the horizon and with the cost of living crisis, every penny counts...
Lying down and taking it might be what they, the likes of Morissons expect from McColl's shareholders, I doubt many whom are invested heavily in the company will accept that and no doubt are planning their next move.

The shares are still showing in my HL account and showing blue, I might add. That said, does anyone know when we'll be notified as shareholders officially as to what has happened. Rather than a notice saying the shares are suspended?
You could always demonstrate at one of their super stores. That woukd certainly get their attention. Ring the local newspaper too, tell them why you're protesting. Post on twitter, including handles for the usual national press. Dailly mail would definitely be interested. Explain how the stores were fitted out and the fundraiser for that etc.
I agree. The hysteria is silly. There were warnings beforehand that the company was likely going into administration. I lost £400, partly because I got wrapped up in a converstation with someone that was taking up too much of my time and I missed the chance to sell. I was going to at midday.
Its a small loss, but a loss all the same. Have to take it on the chin...
They say they, Morissons will pay lenders. If shareholders have funded conversions then maybe there will be something in it for them, possibly one Morissons share for so many hundreds of Mccolls. Maybe absolutely zilch!
