Thanks Mardler and George. I get it now.
Hi Svend,
Thank you for that - I understand.
Kind regards
You been short n wrong for way too long to ever be taken seriously.
You may have to assume that Porch is 78 years old approx and made poor pension provisions and is now a bitter and twisted old person. I don,t recollect a positive post from them. Obviously something amiss.
Whenever Porch posts his guff I have a mental picture of that Baghdad Bob/Comical Ali chap with the tanks in the background. 😂
When the market tanks to 5300 later in the year this will be sub 3.50. Ftse 100 just doomed anyway, nobody buys U.K. shares since 2016 except for a few self harming U.K. PI’s.
Https://www.5paisa.com/finschool/course/technical-analysis-course/price-gaps/#Price%20GapsGap explanation
Gap:
When a SP moves either up or down say on a spike ...so there's a gap in the share price where at a point in the future its usually filled.
Dropped my average here this morning and topped up LnG ready for ex, trouble when ftse tops 8000s any drops bring these down and also Barclays tipsters dont help, shady bstrds most likely connected with the shorts
Cant believe with such a reliable dividend and good yield this share still drops below 500p
What do you mean by the gap? I saw the earlier post and was puzzled by that too.
Apologies if this is a stupid question.
The once-mighty Barclays now reduced to a dodgy tipster, time to top up!
We’ve had a rerate up from jpm and now one down from Barclays.
I think it’s just a time to hold to your convictions or trading appetite.
This will be back or not on yield expectations alone.
As someone pointed out, the gap is filled
Nope..it went ex div last week
Have they stopped dividend payments??? I can't see anything for this year yet?
Its probably written by some oik just out of uni.
These so called anaylists amaze me. The reason inmv is the constant fluctuation in gilt yields with our wonderful gvmnt bowing to the us once again in regards to interest rates. The sooner the eu and our woke gvnmt tell them that we are not their wipping boy the better inmo. Ohhh if only.
Oh and the added bonus that the gaps have been closed on the chart now. The only one remaining to fill it at 548p.
For shorts to reassess ... on the plus side great price for reinvesting dividends at this level... another wave to ride for a while.
Barclays unhappy “ Barclays cuts Phoenix Group to 'underweight' (overweight) - price target 500 (600) pence”
Anyone have access to the detail ?
Hi Etank,
Thanks, I can not give you any buy or sell advice or recommendations In the short term (daily TF) the price action is in a corrective move touching/bouncing on the 28 SMA at the midline inside of the Bollinger Bands which needs to hold above to remain bullish. IMOO DYOR GLA
Hi Svend,
Thank you very much for your response.
A bit more waiting then!
Hi Etank, The tea leaves look choppy the price remains above the 200 SMA and the Ichimoku clouds bullish break out above 524
The 62p forecast is amazing really, especially if you get in at this price
12% Divi per annum! Try finding that anywhere else.
Svend,
Would like to invest some spare cash in PHNX, not from rr., I might add!
I would really appreciate your take on the tea leaves on this one, please?

Analysts have penciled in forward projections for PHNX
31st Dec 24 Revenue 6.709 Billion Pre-Tax 873.39 Million Forward EPS 53.88p. (Earnings per Share)
31st Dec 25 Revenue 7.323 Billion Pre-Tax 939.06 Million Forward EPS 59.54p.
31st Dec 26 Revenue 6.938 Billion Pre-Tax 901.00 Million Forward EPS 62,33p
If one uses a PE multiple of 10 x Forward EPS per year in 2024 = 540p ish moving to 2026 = 6.23p ish
Add some divi froth which seems good to me!!
Analysts have also penciled in >>>
2024 divi 54.34p
2025 divi 56.19p
2026 divi 62.33p
