I expect they will deliver it along with the full year accounts in April, so ties in with the Q2 comment. Not good enough in my view though. You can't do the current years forecast in april of the same year. I know it is an unual world we are in, but that really is poor form, hand to mouth stuff. We are a midcap company in the making, just need to tweak their communication and we'll get there. I suspect they learnt alot from the last reaction to their update and going foreards it will be much better.
Yes, that roadmap will be provided soon. From a recent RNS:
In parallel with the current focus of continuing to maximize the opportunity for COVID-19 testing, the Company is also continuing to build on its strategy for delivering a sustainable, long-term diagnostics business. Novacyt intends to present these plans during Q2 2021.
But taking care of business as a CEO also involves providing a clear roadmap, and forecast. Both of which we are still waiting on for 2021, even though we are now in March 2021... Great on operational business and getting business done, truely awful at communication and guidance. Both need to be done well for a company to excel.
newforms - ultimately your are right. But carelessly expressed communications can jeopardise it in the meantime!!!!
Wilson, that's not what I meant. I was talking about a flurry of non consequential RNS' clearly designed to artificially prop up the share price, not the sort you're referring to. The sort you're referring to sees the share price at new highs!
Harchris being pedantic if phase2 dropped and then Rns re fda authorisation dropped followed by an accretive purchase Rns how would that stack up, we know already the only pointless(but compulsory) Rns we put out is the liquidity agreement. So a flurry of Rns's would certainly prop up the SP
That’s right, but how many do they have to sell.
lot's o' small RNS at a time won't matter.....if NCYT fill the order book for the next 6-12 months with 300M+ in order revenue forcast...the share will rerate and be blue for the next 6-12 months
I hope they are holding some news back because aren't half the shares Vatel were given free to be sold from 31st March?
I hope they drip feed major items of good news instead of lumping everything together like that last RNS. Better for the SP I imagine.
Me too Steve! I think a red flag would be a flurry of rns' clearly designed to prop up the share price, that to me would be a sign of bad things to come...
I have a sneaky suspicion that all is VERY well at NCYT, AND we are going to get a humongous contract award in the not to distant.
As well as that a trading update may well say that the first few months of 2021 have shown record sales.
Share price fluctuations are great for traders and hedge fund algorithms. It's cyclical. Patience ...and HOLD. (or sell if you want to.!!)
Fireblade, I can assure you GM is not concerned by the SP one iota, if anything it's totally irrelevant. What matters is what's going on behind the scenes, if it's all dandy he'll know that before too long (even if it takes 6 months) the SP will be back in double figures minimum. If it's bad, well again the SP will take care of itself...
For SHs though it's not quite so simple. No news can be a good thing or a bad thing, we simply don't know and have to trust that it's the former.

been like this for weeks now - any little red bar (sell) is followed immediately but a run of similar sized green bars (buy), yet the price carries on going down despite there clearly being more green than red on the chart!
Is this funds hoovering up any PI sells?
Fireblade, you said "Wonder if Blackrock & GM are concerned about the price dropping like it is". I dunno about them BUT I'm starting to be concerned. Almost 50% down in a month (not 50% down on my investment thank goodness). Personally I want to hear from the company. I appreciate others are cool and happy with where we are but I'm not!
I agree Kitzie, at least they are not releasing desperate sounding RNS. Then I would sell up.
Hardly a day trade. The share price has slumped in a month, the company has a duty to its shareholders. That would involve updates, news/something/anything from the board-but they are passively watching while the shares halve in value. Why?
my instincts tell me that we would be hearing garbage RNS if they were desperate and worried.... like so many other AIM shares that have no future and release RNS as common as dirt, apart from the value satisfying the day traders.
Wonder if Blackrock & GM are concerned about the price dropping like it is.
