An appeal can be lodged up to 28 days after judgement is handed down. An application to appeal has to be granted , anyone can ask but it can be refused if determined no chance of success for example.
Some interesting stats on appeal cases.

All I can find is - Hearing
06 Jun 2024 14:00 Hearing
Mrs Justice Jefford.
Court 22.
"As previously announced, the Company and its subsidiary Primer Design Ltd are party to litigation with the DHSC. The trial hearing has been listed to commence on 10 June 2024, and finish on 4 July 2024. The Company expects the court to reserve judgment, meaning that the outcome of the trial will not be known on 4 July 2024."
Should the court reserve judgment, the outcome will not be known perhaps for a while.
We don't know what that timescale might be.
Whatever the judgement - could it be that one side or the other, announce within that judgement, or the same time as the judgement, that they intend to appeal.
Should that happen, I don't see the sp reacting to that news with anything like the impetus a win
for one side or the other might achieve.
I don't know how likely that scenario is, but for me it's not impossible.
£130m, and no debt,we would get some interest just to tickover lol.GLA.
Yeah Wilson with such a significant cash runway and considerable assets (especially YGs) I think a reasonable valuation would be something like 2X cash following dispute resolution, with that rising or falling over time depending on progress towards profitability or dwindling cash without the requisite progress.
We know from latest results that current cash burn, stripping out one-off exceptional items, is ~£13.5m with £5m+ of annualised savings to come so should be looking at more like £8.5m outflows to begin with.
A settlement that leaves NCYT with say £60m cash would correspond to ~£120m mcap / £1.70 but how the market actually reacts is anyone's guess.

Someone posted this....
Master blaster qualify a company not making money but with 130 plus million in the bank #dont take the proverbial
Did anyone find out what todays court date was all about?
News possibly tomorrow!
YG are certainly not saving the day - had we had a full year of their accounts we’d have lost over £50m in 2023. The company is operationally dead and as such SP is moving based on cash and expected cash following dispute.
Haha I’m not sure what closet you’re referring to but I’m certainly still here, still standing and waiting patiently for this desire to once and for all be done with… and in our favour 🙏
300% !! What a dreamer. Even if they don't go bankrupt they're not making any money. Novacyt has been trading for years and never made money until COVID came along. Looks like yourgene are saving the day at the moment.
Hopefully we can all come out of the bunker in a few weeks Amers.
Islandgirl and K Thanks very much and luv you two loads....Not sure about HC, as he hasn't come out of closet yet!!
Can't make my mind up and therefore have done nothing Amers xx
Amers It means you put things off until tomorrow perpetually
Calm down amers , you are worrying and thinking to much about Kaerens vocabulary;)
Just remember long term holders , this is a public forum and any juicy , hard found information will be for all to see .
Shorters , rampers , derampers , traders galore .
Maybe some of the long termers might fancy setting up a WhatsApp or telegram group up to share this before all and sundry get a heads up ? ..
Not sure what the hell this means - procrastination
Our Dear K Please stop using BIG word, we all don't have Degree in English or are you trying to say, you have been LAZY today, in a posh way??
Both , I've managed to achieve diddly squat today Wilson ! Queen of procrastination all day.
Went for lunch, didn't eat as felt a bit queasy and then bought some make up and arrived home without it . Now in a dolly daydream 🙄
