Oh, that'll be the Gov of Malawi :))
Morning - Neodymium now an impressive +10.8% for the month - I wonder what/who is driving that ...
Cheers Bonker. That’s what I thought, but it says bfs in progress on the investor page.
BFS = DFS = BFS - it was completed last Summer.

I thought the BFS was done? Is that not part of the DFS? Grim waiting here… BRICS making me nervous.
Well they are both still registered major holders on the website
https://mkango.ca/investors/investor-centre/
One of the reasons I invested here was because of
Stewart Nelson (fund manager) going over 5% in Feb 22 buying @ 20/25p
Michael Geoghegan (ex HSBC) going over 4% in Nov 21 buying @ 30p
£100k of director investment a few months back.
I assume they are still invested. I know declaration rules are never followed but just wondered if anyone had some info.
Malawian President Lazarus Chakwera said his country was fully behind Brics' partnership with Africa and wished to be part of the bloc.

The geopolitics is important but I reckon Malawi economic development will trump political affiliation. Western backing for MKA projects most likely imo.
Agree - there's more than enough inference of American involvement here already and I doubt that Cotec would throw themselves at it in the manner they have if they thought the Chinese could/would weigh in.
I'd Think China would be looking at Pulawy and the Tyseley plant as more of a threat to their near monopoly than Songwe and basically Malawi is desperate for any investment from anywhere but is clearly under the Western umbrella of influence and certainly I don't see any Chinese influence on their mining sector that is yet to really get going hence the MDA delays as they are all trying to get this right in a win win way for all...
My only concern is the brics meeting the other week China is becoming the go to investor for African countries and they don't do something for nothing we need the MDA to be signed and sealed before we see the big uptick the share will have that being said Hypromag is going to be a big project hence Cotecs involvement and as soon as the MDA is signed I can see a writing of a new contract between them and MKA .
Morning.
Timely - hold onto those shares peeps.
Me Spideysense is still tingling for next week.
More for me aswell.
More for me at 10p.
Good cash position. Business as usually until news of Cotec JV, TEP and MDA.
Malawi Government need to sort it out. Clearly they have an unreasonable version of a "win-win" deal.
Forgot to also mention, the demand for AI chips will continue to drive REE prices ahead of further demand for EVs and green energy.
Commodities are in the doldrums but not for long
Minimal cash burn as we wait for the MDA. This is what I like about the management team. Money raise only against essential milestones.
Just a matter of time for agreements and next steps. In meantime lookout for significant magnet news and investments.
Morning.
Neodymium ticking up again today.
Mkango Resources sets itself for rare earths upswing as EVs take off

Agreed Bladey. These permissions are just a stepping stone to sp movement. It’s the resource to unlock it all that matters. Still be nice to be over this stepping stone though eh.
Neodymium continuing to climb - now 8.5% up for the month ...
