Nasdaq now up +150
Staying put here. This temporary episode and shenanigans will pass soon. Lovely buying opportunity though.
Heron Oil will be sold to Chinese refinery. So no issues for MATD on that front.
Oil prices will go through the roof now, it's going to be a bad few years coming up but good for oil stocks
My post was aimed at the wish I could buy more today sentiment, not yours FA, had not read it at the time.
It will come good, but what happens until then is any ones guess.
Big bench, I'm thinking the same, timing would have really messed with any likely increase.
I also think that the SP held up well considering what's going on.
To be honest I’m glad it didn’t arrive this week…. Any rise would of been tempered and sold into given the Russian invasion scaring the fook out of the world markets.
Try some home grown O&G for this weeks gains! EDR at 15M market cap, taking £0.5M per month revenue at current O&G prices - less risk and producing cash. If Fracking is bought back.....30p boom.
Putin hasn't put a squeeze on the rest of the word yet, but he will.
Or it could be even cheaper tomorrow.
We are not even 24 hours in to the Russian induced turmoil yet. Not trying to de-ramp but there are some very optimistic posters on here, and just adding balance. To be fair, it was an absolute bargain at 3.5 to 3.8p in early January. Now 4.5p with war breaking out, and no actual operations to report its probably a fair price and might retrace further. I'm sure this will be a winner in the long term, but the future is now less predictable.
Wish I had the funds to buy more with this dip. Absolute bargain. MATD's day soon to come.
GLA
Sell all £41k in one hit.
There you go them. The market makers really don’t want those shares ; )

IMHO/DYOR
looks like a fire sale - unbelievable!
trying to free up some money to buy at this bargain price
Russia, China and Mongolia, all 3 working together expanding their economic expansion as per their recent visits.
Dont forget the $400 billion gas supply deal between Russia and China and that pipeline goes through Mongolia.
I would say, Mongolia being one of last Oil frontiers is probably the best place to invest given all the economic expansion, Urbanisation and Industrialisation that is to come in coming decades. This is early / first mover advantage.
My understanding is that Putin sees Ukraine as an inseparable part of pre soviet Russia and China sees Taiwan as an inseparable part of China - whereas neither views Mongolia as part of either country.
Agree Ojay. Mongolia became independent of China with the help of Russia in the 1920s before it became a satellite soviet block country (it kept its formal independence too). I can't see Putin wanting to go there and open up that particular can of worms!
I tend to agree on that bigbench:
Putin's plate is pretty much full with the Ukrain - and all who are against him (TG). Mongolia is far if not totally beyond Russia's interests (and capabilities) - whichever way you look at it. In addition, China may have certain interests concerning Mongolia whichl most likely are not in line with Russia's.
Absolutely Dartron. Who knows what Putin is capable of. None of this looks good whichever way you look at it
China will side with Russia no problem... Mongolia is one of the safest place to be id say
"Mongolia thousands of miles from the conflict, so no danger"
But is sandwiched between Russia and China.
Excellent time to add if you have funds.
This drama doesn't effect Mongolia.
Oil price...Malcys view
In the above only European gas has taken into account the Russian invasion of the Ukraine overnight, this morning WTI is $98.01 and Brent is $103.57.
My hero Daniel Yergin has said this morning that ‘Washington is just catching up and recognising that American LNG- and the shale revolution- is a geopolitical asset. Without US LNG exports the situation would look very different in the tense stand-off over Ukraine’.
And he is of course right and it would do UK politicians a power of good to realise that upping the game in domestic hydrocarbon production, both onshore and offshore wouldn’t be a loss of green credibility but more a way to ensure that domestic needs are catered for. No surprise that UKNG is up nearly a pound a therm, look and learn and shame on those who needed to see that start of a war for it to sink in.
..down 246 or 3.3%... biggest one day fall in quite a while
Market sentiment counts for a lot. BP also down 3% today. Problem here is the oil is in the ground still and not being pumped out yet. News needed on this front.
