Goodness me MV, you do ramble on.
I wonder what has happened to Brixton. Perhaps, he is out feeding Bob the carp.
Mr Walter Mitty
You seem to have a problem with a long communication.
You keep instructing people to "Paraphrase" which does not actually mean, to shorten a text, the use of the word Summarise ,would imply shortening the text.
Strange how mick-b has not appeared as yet!
Your Bank of Ireland shares how are they performing ?
Your comment regarding Starmer possibly being in No 10 in a few weeks was made just to illicit a reply, try and wind someone up!
Nearly all your inputs are just maggots on an hook, waiting for a bite, you actually have no real purpose in creating a discussion your are just a sound bite man.
But on Starmer, I did mention in a post, some weeks past that if Starmer made it to No 10 within 6 months the infighting would become apparent. I was wrong! it is happening right now..
But you do not care for Labour or Muslims or the homeless, you are just have a contradictory personality, just . looking to be noticed.
If this board was made up of mostly Labour voters you would be supporting Sunak.
This could all date back to your childhood, ignored by mummy or your peers needing to be noticed.
To summarise , you are a day dreamer and a loner, in need of being accepted and noticed.
"2 reasons to be cheerful we all woke up this morning and it's Friday."
Half day on Fridays for the increasing population /door mats/hate speech.
Gla ....You are going to need it.........sigh.
I know this is a Lloyds bb and we only discuss Lloyds on here lol š but I have poit out Barclays Bank is at an interesting level and its had some Interesting price action over the last week with Barclays Bank hitting a 52 week high will it take out the recent 52 week high and the 5 year highs. Time will tell hope other banks like Lloyds and NWG move towards the same targets. And NWG buying back more shares direct from Government is also a strong sign confidence is very strong in the banking sector. And I know the GE is looming so the gov want to offload some is well.. Anyway is all look good for the banking sector
As they say the "TREND IS YOUR FRIEND" and the trend as we all know is currently UP.. Enjoy it š„³

If you know you know the UK has a massive shortage of houses so trust me Lloyds is in the game and the property market is more solid than it's ever been. If some landlords want to cash in on some properties and take some profit that's up to them. However I know so many that are looking to ADD to the already rich portfolio all positive for the property sector and Lloyds bank.
Lloyds bank Barometer WOW š³...
Is there any wonder this company has 63 billion shares on the market it can't get rid of.
1: Councils going bankrupt.
2. Incoming socialist government (supposedly).
3. Middle East in tatters .
4. Europe economy in tatters thanks to..
5. Those who can not be named to the east of Europe, economy in tatters.
6. Incoming president who also can not be named in the US who is supposedly going to destroy us if he gets power.
7. Landlords getting out of dodge before that bubble that can't be mentioned gets popped.
8 At the end of 2023/24 public sector net debt was Ā£2,690 billion (i.e. Ā£2.6 trillion), or 98% of GDP. This is equivalent to around Ā£37,900 per person in the UK.21 May 2024

Confidence in construction and services sectors particularly strong, increasing to 1- and 6-year highs, respectively
South East, Scotland and the West Midlands regions reported highest confidence levels in May
The latest Lloyds Bank Business Barometer has found that overall business confidence reached its highest
level for over eight years. Confidence increased by 8 points ā up to 50% ā a level last exceeded in
November 2015. Survey data suggests the monthly increase is largely attributed to businessesā improved
assessment of their own trading prospects and the broader economy.

I agree confidence is returning to the housing market. This time however confidence is returning to the buyer but the owner. I know house prices are supposedly rising but having spoken to a few landlords they all seem pretty keen to offload the assets and are doing so with vigour now that kiers on his way in. Meanwhile Lloyds will be going into ownership 20 years too late. Doesn't take a genius here too see how much HMG influences policy. Not saying it's bad thing but I do believe Lloyds asset books are going to be overloaded in the near term so why bother buying new assets at top prices is being my understanding.
The figures are a great positive sign and obviously shows confidence is returning to the property sector long may it continue and Lloyds Bank the UK biggest lender will also benefit.
Your lefty luvvie liberals canceling on here. They love that 5ht.
Monthly house prices in the UK grew by 0.4% in May 2024, marking a reversal from a 0.4% decline in April and exceeding the market consensus of a 0.1% gain.
According to Nationwide data, house prices rose by 1.3% on a year-on-year basis, accelerating from a 0.6% increase in the prior period, which was the softest pace in three months.
This is the fourth consecutive month of rising home prices, driven by strong wage growth and lower inflation.
āModest increases in mortgage rates since the Spring have slowed the housing market but not derailed it,ā said Rob Wood, chief UK economist at Pantheon Macroeconomics.
The wheels are starting to fall off the labour bandwagon.
There's one thing worse than a leader it's a dithering leader. Even Abbott, the mathematical genius has him on the ropes.
Popcorn all round.
āFormer Bolton North East Tory MP Logan tells the BBC his application to join Labour is āgoing in todayā. Nice timingā
Re: Mark Loganā¦Get the whole story, you won't find it at the BBt.
āHe's been lobbying No.10 for a peerage, so he didnāt have to bother with voters and has now jumped ship. People will reach their own conclusions as to his motivations.ā
Watch this space.
Iām not saying Reform will win, that would be foolish. My conscious cannot allow a vote for the Cons or for the Labour Party. So I have a tough choice, or I decide not to vote at all, again.
I hope you brake a tooth on 1 of those kernel's
LeeRex, you're confused, when you start speaking Reform UK policies, as most likely they won't win any seats...
https://uk.news.yahoo.com/nigel-farage-reform-uk-mps-election-114416005.html
But the real icing on the cake for me is they may cost the tories 28 seats!
Popcorn anyone?
Well I personally was expecting a higher finish today no worries hopefully we may get a good strong boost tomorrow šŖ

In a feeling of elation are you , have your 50 shares in bank of Ireland moved ?
Mr Mitty appears and close by mick-b ! sharing the same laptop are you?
On progressives, how would you define a progressive, are you a progressive?
You are contradictive, is that the sign of a progressive.
I also sold all my Lloyds share and some others. Not because I am speculating but I have put deposit on a nee build apartment two years ago and last week received a payment request for the rest of the money.
So the shares had to go. Little bit sad actually to not have a share in here anymore
No such thing as a safe Conservative seat

"They are being squeezed on the left by progressives (Labour/Liberal Democrats/Greens), and the right by Reform UK. As a result, they do not have a majority of the predicted vote share in any constituency."
I am simply in a state of elation!
Popcorn anyone?
**Sold all my Lloyds shares again this morning, to much volatility for my liking just now. Am in profit now and have been in similar position in 2022 and 2023 only to see it all wither away over the summer, so this time am taking the profit of the table. My gut feeling is I should be able to buy back in at a lower price than it is today. See where we are after election, and maybe hold of until after September budget just to see if Labour announce any windfall tax on banks then.**
NO FALKY NO COMMENT...IMHO
BREAKING: Former Tory MP Mark Logan defects to Labour, telling BBC Politics party could "bring back optimism into British life".
Logan, who represented highly marginal Bolton NE until Parliament was dissolved, is standing down but says application to join Labour is in today.
