The latest Investing Matters Podcast episode featuring Jeremy Skillington, CEO of Poolbeg Pharma has just been released. Listen here.
I didn't have time to watch to full of that webinar but watched a bit where that guy (forgot his name, sorry) is talking about how big the currys is in comparison to competition, namely to AO world which is online competitor only, and even in that measure is much much smaller than what Currys are doing online. So why is AO valued only 10% less then Curry atm.
I know there was a big loss coming from the nordics region and he explain why that happened and what they doing to mitigate that, but also that Currys is also maintaining it leading market share over there.
So the question is, If the next set of results will prove that the company is again back on track and making profit, perhaps even paying a dividend, can we see the SP going up and to what level?
Any thoughts?
Well, I have read again the reaults published end of march and they said in the second half of the year they turn it prom loss position yo profit of £30 mil. But they also mentioned the release of some money set aside. So hard to know wheather they are making money atm from operations. I guess thats why the SP is so low because untill investors see that the conpany is making money again this isn’t going up anytime soon.
After so many shocks with this share over last four years or so, I am hoping for a bit of a good news. But atm it doesn’t look like there is much confidence in this turn around. Like the rest of you I can only hope that the new management is not hidding anything from us and this is not going nose dive even further.
Ocados Luton CFC has been alive for about 7 months now and has grown its oredrs delivered every week from under 40k a week to above 55 k orders per week as of last week.
The CFC is performing extremely well as the pick rate was the highest last week as it ever been making the Luton CFC best performing of all.
Hopefully they can replicate this through the all CFC and drive efficiency foe all partners to demostrate that this model is a solution that more partners will be interested in.
Just my opinion

If nothing happen over the weekend I think next week this will continue going up to 23 where it was last friday before that Iranian attack. And if we get some better news we might see the SP going even higher. Summer is coming, travell will pick up. The prices should also go up as Easyjet have indicated with their results. So I am hoping we will go above 25 coming into may.
Just my opionion as always
It is all good and sound to calculate value of nutrition company but the problem is in competition. There are so many brands that do same thing, protein shakes, powder, yoghurts, bars and other things. It is nothing new and new brands popping up like mushrooms after every rainy day. Unless you are huge fan of a particular brand and you only search them to buy it. If I shop at Sainsburys or Ocado or M&S or many other shops I will never buy Myprotein product. I went once to Food warehouse which is like Iceland and bought MP ice cream just to try it. But will not go out of my way again to do so.
I don't care who makes my protein powder or shake as long as I am happy with price and taste.
I think many people are like that appart for the ones that are on instagram all the time getting lots of influencers to get to buy the products they represent. If company stops that constant influencing it is finished.
That is why always new ones comes in, the product is the same its just new wave of fresh money and influencers like sport stars to do advertising to drive the sales. Once the management will fulfil their targets and make lots of money for themself they move onto the next thing and the brand will go to decline and maybe disappear all together.
I think my protein is not exception. After strong sales rise few years ago, its now stalling if not declining.
I know all of you hard core LTH believers will disagree but that doesn't change the fact that it just might be the truth
good luck all
I think yesterdays sell off was mainly because of news that Iran might attack Israel this weekend, hence the sell off just in case this happens. If it were to happen it would mean WizzAir would be force to cancel all of their flights to Israel again, they only began to resume their flight schedules to Tel Aviv last month from several European cities.
I also think that this keeps the SP down as Wizz was the largest airline company operating to and from Tel Aviv. Now loosing most of that capacity and continuing threat of escalation would bring it down even more.
Thats just my opinion
good luck all
AS1 and others, just because you filter the guys who are bearish on THG doesn’t mean your shares are not going to go lower. I’ve been reading this and they seem to have a point.
I see this behaviour on here under different tickers. But just because you all post positive comments and how many ready meals and ice creams are on shelfs in Iceland doesn’t mean that the SP is going up. Its more or less few pence up and then go back down again and again. I know it is painfull to put your money in failing company but it is not the fault of the few people here that think that SP is going to fall back after it has risen suddenly.
Just wanted to say this after many days and weeks reading the same posts.

If you are like most on here in loosing position, I guess we can only wait and hope this will turn around. 18.4. is ex divi date acording to HL so your info is right on that. But 1p I will get is a very small plaster on a big loss O am currently sitting on. I will give it more time to managment to prove that they can turn it around.
Hello Mary, I am a long time holder suffering big paper loss atm. I am reading everything here and elsewhere regarding this company. you posted this yesterday
"Personal target for me is to get a sub zero holding of around 100k averaging 30p or less and hold forever."
can I ask how do you get an average price of 30p or less when the share price was never that low?
Nice work MadMat, it is a shame that the SP is half of what it was january 2020. The market is so cautious about airlines that even that company has grown significantly over the last four years and is still growing its fleet and passenger numbers are breaking records each month, the SP is half of what it was when company was half the size.
We just going to have to wait for the Wizz to prove its worth.

Today I went to visit one of the stores (Stevenage). It is very nice store, very tidy and the atmosphere was great. I spent an hour in there and only got around the half of the store. I would not say it is understaffed, and they were all very polite.
It gives you great shopping experience that for sure. You cannot get that kind of experience online or in Argos.
I like Currys
