Loosegoose In relation to your 13.25 post I suppose that the timing is just coincidence coming the day after the Inte grated Review
Stokey12, I thought long and hard. On one hand I heard that H&W pay excellent bonuses but on the other hand I don't want to be a "senior generalist". Jokes aside, if JW and AR are clever enough to develop the strategy, get the acquisitions done and get this far then they are not so naive as to hire HR people if there is no need for future hiring for the bigger work coming.
Loosegoose In relation to your 12.12 post you may be right on that one I take it you have applied.
that should have read in the House.
Something is coming - more hiring of HR resources means building capacity to hire staff for coming contracts we don’t know about yet. It also means more overhead, but I am a glass is half full type of guy!

With the Defence White Paper due on Monday I expect we will have leaks over the weekend and on Monday morning. It will be interesting to see if any mention INFA. I wonder if the white paper will be launched with a statement in the or will it be just published on the MOD website.
is now due to leave on Monday at 12.00
Is it me or has the vessel finder maps gone down?
danawinner In relation to your 06.52 post what makes you think the announcement will be made by Boris Johnson. It is equally possible that it will be made by the Secretary of State for Defence.
Hmmmm......, I wonder how long until the 'big contract' is announced by Boris.
I suspect it won't be long now......
IMHO DYOR etc
ThisTimeNextYeer In relation to your 20.07 post of yesterday a very interesting speech. I note that Belfast, Appledore and Northern Ireland were all mentioned in the speech. I would like to see these words translated into concrete actions.
Besides ML and integrated review outcomes, now more potentially good news as Viking cruises reopens from May.

Cheers for the St Paddy's wishes Si. . . . . and here's a wee St Paddy's day blessing for chums on the page here.
May your pockets be always heavy, may your hearts be always light, may good luck be with you each morning, and stay with you every night.
Good read, TTNY. Thanks for that.
Happy St Paddy's for tomorrow. :)
TTNY great link many thanks
Chitta, meridian maybe?
ThisTimeNextYear - thank you for your posting of the link to todays conference which I found very interesting.Clearly the Government wants to use its spending power to re-invigorate UK shipbuilding & that by definition must include H&W based in Belfast. All to play for.
I've pasted below the link to the defence secretary's speech at the SMI conference today. It gives some more information on the National Shipbuilding Strategy.
I won't summarize it here, but will say it's worth clicking for a read.
One part of the speech however i liked and will refer to, is where Ben Wallace says 'more broadly, I want us to create local hubs of expertise. So that the ships that leave these shores aren’t simply famed for bearing a stamp saying “made in Britain” but for the stamp that says Belfast or Birkenhead'.
Nice to also see the word 'Appledore' in his speech too. I wonder can we read into that reference a bit further ? ?

Loose goose.I too have a strong suspicion that some other company is about to take a sizeable chunk of the island magee project.H and W will get the majority of the salt caverns engineering work and another company taking over the project with infa keeping a percentage makes great sense with the sale of the percentage financing the shipbuilding and turbine etc aspect of infastrata .The island magee and Barrow regasification vessel will need significant funding and whoever funds the projects will want the majority stake.Something major is playing out here and this fits with my theory that the ML has been about stalling until the incoming funder for island magee is ready with its own end of the plan. The ML decision fits with my thoughts on who the suitor is and there timeframes.
Cross typo
Find out soon enough imho when they cor the threshold
Capdevila11 In relation to your 16.48 post possibly somebody who was at the SMI Conference this morning which INFA was one of the sponsors of.
Gosh I'm not sure. Perhaps it's someone or a corporate entity that wants to hold lots of shares in the company because they think it is a good investment?
Schlum, yes agree. The NPV of the gas project @10% discount rate was 141m. @8% it was 222m. Selling 75% or 85% of the project would be big numbers.
