Candydog, take the strange events of the weekend as a blessing - odd and counterintuitive as it seems - and watch the price steadily rise for the next few days - weeks - months. DST in December - game change time.
Dark Knight, Right, my first name's not Luke and my skin isn't green, but observing the ****y shorting plays on here - the market was ready to hit decline mode - USA interest rates cut, Chinese / USA trade thing, blah, blah, blah - if the KSA thing hadn't happened the lovely shorters would have run us down for a while and eventually we'd bounce up again. The image of a Weeble (for those who were children in the 70s) comes to mind - it wobbles but it never falls down!
Darkknight,
Former USA Gov guy said 6 months, really? Any chance you can share the link? That's rather good news for us (with apologies and respect) at this juncture!
I sincerely hope this whole situation does not literally explode. Whilst the ‘outage’ might seem to some like a ‘good’ thing and perversely welcome news to others on first assumptions, the situation is dangerously precarious to say the least.
I’m not religious, but I’m praying it is resolved peacefully. It needs calm, sensible heads.....
OK, and seriously, kind of, so don't want to think like this, however, Russia and China, they're definitely acting together. Anything Iran does to provoke the West, anything odd going on with elections here or in the USA ... Interesting to look at the Chinese 'Belt and Road Plan'
https://www.weforum.org/agenda/2017/06/china-new-silk-road-explainer/
Then look at the strategic ports they now have control of.

I don't speak Mandarin yet, but might be something on my study list ...
Waterbear,
"Iran are forced into a corner. Their leadership is under question from the outside world."
I beg to differ from your viewpoint. What exactly is this 'outside world' to which you refer? One of Jupiter's moons, or something like that?
I personally question the sanity of the current 'leader' of the glorious US of A. The idea of that person jetting around the world with the capacity to unleash nuclear war at the push of a button seems a little bit frightening to me. Or rather, not 'frightening', just daft. If he presses the button, I want to be at ground zero, 'cos I won't feel a thing.
At least Iran's leaders (no more mentally stable, admittedly) are consistent in their madness.
What will really make me grin is if they wait 'til that refinery is 80% back up and running, and they go bomb the place again!
PS I live in France. And have been listening to the radio news while putting another 500 km road-miles under my belt today. And what have our glorious lords and masters this side of the channel announced on the back of the news from the KSA? That fuel prices at the pumps will be increased by 5 centimes, if not Wednesday, then Thursday.
Yeah, right. And exactly how much Saudi heavy crude gets distilled into petrol and diesel, pray?
'Leadership' indeed... If you 'vote' for these nutters, don't expect common sense...
Albi1,
" Russia and China, they're definitely acting together. "
Yup. Perfect timing, as well. Plus Shanghai now deals in crude based on gold value, as well.
Tardigrade,
"Trump and Khamenei seem to be on the brink of war."
So bring it on! If the 'targets' become refineries and oilfields rather than hospitals, schools, and civilian vegetable-markets, the result might be rather fun to watch.
JayKay,
"This place got ugly a bit fast..."
Drilling rigs, FPSO's and suchlike aren't exactly pretty things (unless you like that sort of thing, which I do).
But equally one sometimes gets a bit blasé about seeing the wrong end of AK47's in airport departure lounges, watching a supply-boat sail past with the remains of a lifeboat from the Alexander Keiland, or having to act as translator in a W.African police-station to ensure we can do a rigmove and keep my boss out of jail.
Welcome to the oilfield.
JK,
"Although you test my patience, I still do hope we'll meet up one day, even though it might get a bit fiesty ;o)"
The feeling is mutual, and I guess I may have been testing not just yours, but other posters' patience and feelings over the last couple of hours! But that's the way it goes... A deserted road, almost full moon, lots of thoughts running through my head, a bit of profit, hey, it happens.
PS I claim (not for the first time) to have the filthiest rangerover in Niort. It's supposed to be green, but what with all the dust, it's now brown.
Seems Trump is not the only mad man capable of rambling.
Actually AK you and Trump.....you have a lot in common I think.
Wellwell,
"Actually AK you and Trump.....you have a lot in common I think."
Oh yeah? You think wrong. And what's your problem, anyway? It's only a bloomin' oil refinery that got bombed. No casualties, either, seemingly. Not 9/11. The guys with the dishcloths on their heads can always buy another one.
Serves 'em right for cold-bloodedly murdering a journalist.
Trump is a narcissist knob with scant regard for others.....
JK,
"PS, wind turbines are a thing of beauty, you're just too blind to see ;o)"
Oh dear, we have another point of difference. And it's an odd one. Because I detest wind turbines with a deeply-rooted hatred. There are a lot of them blotting the landscape where I live. And I just can't help wondering how nice it would be to wrap some det-cord round the base of some of them and watch the silly thing fall. Made-in-Germany precision bearings an' all. However I'm a peaceful sort of person so don't get up to that kind of behaviour.
I refute Wellwell's suspicion that I may share some character traits with the POTUS, but I may have a little bit of the Don Quixote in me...
The first few turbines that appeared (proper big f*** off ones, not the silly little windmills with 2 blades) were fascinating and strangely lovely. But as time rolls on and they proliferate exponentially I agree that their attraction has dwindled significantly.
Wellwell,
"Trump is a narcissist knob with scant regard for others....."
Correct. And thereby I refute any common ground with him. A narcissist I am not: looking in the mirror I find to be a rather scary experience these days. And I tend to hold others in high regard unless they prove themselves unworthy of such attention. Especially is they're in their mid-thirties, have nice boobs, and a fetching smile.
Politically incorrect? Qui, moi?
The way you people are wailing and gnashing your teeth, you'd think it was Grangemouth which got bombed.
johnpwh,
"The first few turbines that appeared (proper big f*** off ones, not the silly little windmills with 2 blades) were fascinating and strangely lovely."
Yeah, I suppose semi-grudgingly I'll grant you that. Novelty value. But now?
Hey. On the nighttime drive home from the casino (a road I know well), at one point the horizon consists not of stars, but a line of flashing red lights. They are the warning beacons on top of a windfarm. Now why should the gentle countryside here be spoiled by flashing red lights? If a monk of the middle ages saw such a sight, he might think of devils.
Sadly, the red strobes are deemed necessary to aid f-wits that fly under IMC (and are sufficiently incompetent that they can't/don't use their nav/ maps/basic pilot's licence flying skills) to avoid a fit. (Flew into 'terrain'.) So should be unnecessary, but like car seat belts, rqd by law.
On the Hur so note, the sellers are really putting a few shifts in recently - I wonder if K or CA's holdings will be rns'd soon? ( Is there a UK notification point between 15 and 10%? - I think not....?)
Gla
SG2 Kerogen cannot sell atm!
Lockup 120 days, till 14Nov I reckon.
"Hurricane notes that Kerogen has signalled its continued support for the Company as it continues to be a major shareholder with a 16.0 per cent interest and a nominated representative on Hurricane's board of directors. Kerogen has participated in each of the Company's significant placings since April 2016 and this transaction represents approximately a quarter of its current holding. "

"A narcissist I am not"
Well now we know a2uk IS Trump!
Anyone ever seen them together?
I rest my case...
so the eye -ranians launched the drones from Iran lol so let me put my Sherlock hat on and the Colombo rain coat, Iranian's are suppose to be in Yay-men leading and orchestrating a proxy war and they are also suppose to be in Syria finishing a proxy war against ISIS and they were allegedly in Libya too. So, if they are in all of those countries knowing that satellite imagery is being used to track all aerial movement why would they be so frigging fracking dumb and stupid to launch the drone attack from their own county !!!!!!!!!
DarkEnergy,
"Well now we know a2uk IS Trump!"
That is a terrible insult, and I am deeply offended. I am NOT that man (if Man it actually is: I suspect it may be a robot).
Furthermore, I do not suffer from a split personality. Though on Wednesdays and Saturdays you may address me as Napoleon, if you like.
PS: The latter is a reference to the boar in Orwell's Animal Farm. Not the Frenchman with the odd-looking hat.

"That is a terrible insult, and I am deeply offended. I am NOT that man"
Funnily enough I have been contacted by President Trump's advisors saying exactly the same thing
I do of course aplogize (to you, not to your doppelganger)
I will happily buy you 568ml, or multiples of, your favourite drink next time in Niort...
