Hi Droverman
It was an American firm Occidental that were building it but stopped it to redesign for North Sea oil, then I went to Dartford Tunnel.
I see Altura Mining have gone, I hope no one here was with them.
My friend David asked is it time to sell some Ggp yesterday I said WHOA not yet let the dust settle maybe a few in the New Year but even then be wary.
He asked why and what price can I see.
I gave him today's obvious answer with the update but then the Kraken news.
If they find good quantities of gold at Kraken, this would be unexpected and could spike the price, if there's good copper quantities this could under pin a price spike.
Later we have the MRE figures, confirmed inferred volumes .
News of the Box cut starting.
The results from Blackbeard and London plus the drill to the North West.
Then moving on to Goliath.
Plus more exploration Newcrest results from the rest of Havieron.
I can only see upward movements but maybe a very bumpy ride.
Speculation
I'm still expecting a buy in from Newcrest maybe 20%
I'm half expecting some of Newcrest rigs to move to Kraken
Exciting times :))
Hi Bamps, that was Burmah oil refinery, worked for them years ago before they went bust, screwed by Labour party so they could get their hands on the oil fields in the North sea, called Enterprise oil after if i remember correctly. Will not happen to GGP for sure mate. Ciao DM
Hi Viking
I had a great time building the oil refinery on the west side that's now a nature reserve. The night life was really good in Southend :))
I haven't been back since 1975
ATB:))
Tons more value is the headline but not GH s words
Hi Viking
when I was working in Canvey Island we use to drink in a pub called the Elms at Leigh do you know if it's still there.
I never class myself as a trader but I traded SYME on a hunch and cleared just over 104k and threw it all in GGP as held since early EG days and to be frank have every faith it will come good for many of my family and friends I have managed to convince to invest. Sitting on a profit which is beyond my expectations but I’m still holding for the real prize which I think will be the end of the year or very early 2021. I must admit to being a tad jealous of people’s holdings in the early days so made it a point to add as many as I could. Now happy with my holding and patiently waiting I’ve mentally ordered my Fairline Cruiser and villa in Tenerife but thinking it’s all about Barbados as my price target moves north ??????
Im bpc but invested just before the cerp merger came up. I dont really go on that board, itz horrendous, full of idiots. But I believe they will have a an interested party lined up. 3 k punt. Lets see what happens
Hi Napthman
Were you from BPC or Cerp
I thought the BPC lot were very blinkered and gave me a lot of stick some right plonkers, sorry but they did get my back up.
If that drill is a success then fair play but what a risk and thelearner agrees with me on that.
If it is a success how are they going to get the oil out, the drill ship will leave a xmas tree on the sea floor until a receiver ship comes $850m for one well , I don't think so.
Good luck with that one.

And Stout, 1628, upon a peak in Darien.
Hi, Chippy. I agree with you on the importance of the CEO. As mentioned before, I was in Man Group when Stanley Fink left in 2007; the share price fell, and carried on falling. Man Group is no longer in the FTSE100.
Bamps im in BPC, if it cones off should 10 bag frm current sp if not then i have ggp :)
Bamps21 - really enjoy your posts and contributions.
I am pretty new to mining investment - also had a disaster with SML, but happy here and with CNR although now just below break even again.
CERP/BPC - I do know a lot about the oil + gas business where I have worked most of my life. I looked at this one when someone posted it on here - and commented - far too high risk for me - I think they will do very well to pay for the single exploration well - if they have problems they will run out of cash.
Hope I am wrong - admire the guys - like GH/CB who go have so much belief in their ability to go and find something the big boys have missed - but it's very risky.
Hi Viking, Tom
I normally spend hours researching a company before I buy maybe 3-6 months, but it didn't take me long with this one.
I believe Tom was the first one who followed me and to be honest the amount he put in frightened me. I told him many times to diversify which I am a strong believer after 3 disasters Taylor Woodrow, Cerp and Sound Energy.
We got a lot of stick from posters who hate AIM shares but many eventually followed and it's saved so many portfolio's during these hard times.
A lot of friends have followed too even my financial advisor out of the Bank :))
A friend is still in Cerp believing the drill off the Bahamas will get him his losses back, what a big enormous risk that is, I feel for him and others still there. I hope it still works out.
I have to say I can't see any negatives with Ggp at the moment but I would probably be the first to mention any if they materialised.
I was very pro Cerp management and then they ditched us for the merger with BPC I was very vocal in my opposition to it, but with my positive frame of mind I moved it all here and very pleased I did too.
ATB:))
Viking hi,
It was Bamps that introduced me to GGP too so yes thanks to all that made any influence very much appreciated to say the least.
Keep safe and well and thanks for your post :-) Very best of luck to us all for results / update.

Tom :-)))
GH is the man for the job!
Always said I’m here until GH is, then will evaluate, but looks like I’m here for a while ;)
GL
The best I could say is "she's a DIAMOND" in the eyes of us lth!
you have to expect almost everyone to sell or slice at some point. it would be crazy to risk vast profit for that extra penny or so. I always said I will be here until I am forced out by corporate activity or some description, does not mean I will retain all my holdings until then.
long journey this one....
Hi Viking
If it takes 30 years to empty Havieron I doubt if I will last the course :(((
I'm certainly going to enjoy emptying it though :))
I am with you on both scenarios Paddy, if we get to a certain price I may sell some, but will keep most if we keep our 25% and start to pay dividends
Yes, and in the meantime I've not seen another share that, either based on performance or potential, would tempt me away, except for one in which I am already invested.
@zoros - I only say that because we have already had a load of casualties on the journey up from 0.5p to 24p and I'm sure there will be many more on the next leg of the journey. Good luck to them and best of luck to people joining us for the next leg.
I've always stated that I will be here until either we are mining and getting a yearly dividend (sorry Jerry) or we succumb to an irresistible offer from one of the majors.
Either way I hope to get full value for my investment in money & time into GGP - remember we are only at the start of the journey - we've heard GH say that on numerous ocassions over the last 3 years but it still rings true.
GLA - Paddy
PaddyGall,
I vow to be among the few. I might top-slice a little when the SP reaches £2.00 (hee hee), but I definitely intend to be one of the few.
ATB
"Only the few will stay the course".
When and why will people leave then Paddy?
At a stretch and if GGP remain part of the Havieron scene, income from the mine will be generated within 2 to 3 years.
If GGP choose to bail out because of a silly offer from NCM then this could be months away.
Both of these are worth hanging in for, no?
What or when is your 'eject' event?
Z
Well I guess whatever way we look at it "TONS" is exactly what we want to see coming out of the ground at both Havieron and Scallywag in the near future.
Patience, patience & more patience required - only the few will stay the course.
