How deep can modern mining go? It’s already a very deep mine and I imagine costs go up exponentially the deeper you go.
Merc - Most of my friends on this BB are shrewd , and sagacious investors , but we also enjoy light hearted debate and good humour, - qualities not enjoyed by everyone on this debate.

Did we not learn anything this year from the MRE. Talk of 10-15-20m oz MRE and it was 4m oz, and the sp drop reflected the disappointment.
Imo it would be wise to refrain from using 40-50m oz yard sticks, we have already drilled the majority of the high grade zone, so with infills/step outs and depth extensions i think 15-25m oz is more than enough to get one excited. Maybe if we get there and its still open we can talk bigger numbers.
Hopefully the next MRE is somewhere between 5.5-7m oz
Lets aim low and all be pleasantly surprised ; )
& what about the giant Goliath.....
Some big figures bouncing around here today, all in fun, but I am thinking 30m Oz if the ovoid below is as big if not bigger than the one above ( which is still expanding ) **** make that 40m Oz
and I know Bamps that Hydro is a cautious man.......like yourself. And who am I to argue with a man of your distinction ... or his.
Tig
Loving how his smile get a bigger with every interview and to quote Shaun “multi-asset” Day and Sandeep “Big Cheese” Biswas - “every hole is a goal!!”
I just love to see all the usual MM games being played! Up 1.4%, but a 5% bid/offer spread...
...IMHO, just be patient!
Good things come to those who wait, and I'm not talking now about my favorite pint of Guinness either! TT
Hi Tig
The real bullish figure would be going down to a depth of 2300m. That's deep for Australia and bulk mining.
Hydrogen quipped last year 70m oz who am I to argue with him :))
If broker thinks 12moz and an initial unrisked of 66p, imagine 50moz....whooooosh
Out of curiosity, what are the experts on the Newcrest BB guestimating / drooling! at Haverion? After all they will own 70% any one checked?
Bamps -- Hi -- You heard him alright, ....and I am not so sure that I didn't / hadn't heard him say that everyone would strike AU / CU . Why not ?? All the others have.
So , come on my wise , sagacious , calculatory friend - just straight off the top of your head - put a resource million ounce measurement guess estimate on Hav1 ( ABFA ) , fun only , and I will not hold you to it.
Me ??? I will be dissappointed if it is less than 50 M oz , but.........???
Tig
Hi Tig
Did I hear him right 65k metres of drills at expanding the asset?
ATB:))
Behave Tig you will give yourself a heart attack ..
Hi Paddy - Just heard the Proactive SD interview. Whow !!! One could not ask for his words ( stupendous in themselves ) to be more enthusiastically accompanied by such incredibly " Pro-active " body language. Say no more. But then I was never in any doubt anyway and its always fantastic to have your neck tickled , and tickled,......and tickled again . What do you think Panama . Huggles and tiggles ????
Tig
OK, straight up! I can't believe that some people/the 'markets' still don't get it!
Do I care? Really? No!
But, I'll repeat the old adage, 'If you snooze, you lose'!
Personally, on that basis, I would not want to be out of GGP at any point going forward now!
However, as always, DYOR, that's purely my personal viewpoint, and only time will tell!
We have been spoilt with news almost weekly it feels. The GGP BOD has so much skin in the game we know that are on our side, fighting the good fight to deliver shareholder value. Shaun with his 25p options is well incentivised to get the SP up multiples times of that. Happy Friday.
Thanks Paddy
SD is definitely more excited/enthused now than a bean counter normally would be - remember his hand over interview including GH - he was like a rabbit in the headlights - exuding confidence (and doing some great work in the background with new tenements) GLA Sporty
Literally just had the chance to listen on my lunch break, what a fantastic interview.
Shaun looking almost as animated as Sandeep today, nine rigs spinning, gold in every hole, first 4 were just a fraction of what's to come - join the dots folks.
How many more sleeps until the next report?
#excited - Paddy
Katie brings out the best in Shaun
Shaun brings out the best in Greatland
Greatland brings out the best in Sandeep
Sandeep brings out the best gold
The best gold brings out the value for shareholders
Ergo Katie brings shareholder value
It’s Friday and at last we’re getting great news flow. Who wouldn’t be slightly giddy in the circs ?
GLA
very, very promising!
strange sp movement over the last few months and I like the theories being discussed here.....
more funds needed to add here
GLA
Yes a great watch - thanks Paddy - Shaun does look comfortable and exudes confidence and lovely reference to the focus on what they are doing for us shareholders. Patience is a virtue I know, but sitting on those hands could be the momentous thing I do for my family’s future - I recommend it to all!!
I've definitely noticed a change to the better in how they've approached everything PR related over the past couple of weeks, or so, in the wording of RNS, interview's, social media, etc.
yes great entry price for new investors...and us old uns too
im adding more its too hard to resist
pfs could only be weeks away
Yes hes getting into his stride now - a bit more relaxed and actually speaking more openly about the project rather than dry corporate speak. Sounded a bit like GH again - just scratching the surface , just a fraction etc.
He's got plenty to be excited about , and that's without all these new holes getting drilled on the JV.
Next update should be a blinder .
