Has anyone noticed the same number of shares being traded today. I.e 540,541 and the other numbers being half that amount i.e. 270271/270270.
They are for differing share prices and don’t add up to any ‘round’ figure.
Anyone any thoughts please.
From a layman’s view, I wouldn’t think Newcrest would have geologists on site for a speculative ( albeit from GGP’s view, a targeted) drill. Having said that if early results showed promise, then GGP may have invited that said expert to come and view.
We #hall hopefully know the results within the next few weeks.
Thanks for that sandgrounded, was just about to ask that question... I thought it might be an official from Newcrest, but having that thought in my mind, do you think a Newcrest geologist would be on site at the drilling of our other tenements?
For those like me who didn’t know what an XRF was....
XRF (X-ray fluorescence) is a non-destructive analytical technique used to determine the elemental composition of materials. XRF analyzers determine the chemistry of a sample by measuring the fluorescent (or secondary) X-ray emitted from a sample when it is excited by a primary X-ray source.
Sorry to hear that. Never nice. It rather reminds me of one of the first shares I bought in my youth - channel tunnel. It was always going to get built but the shareholders were wiped out in the process. At least SXX hasn't reached that point yet ... Time will tell I guess. It's a sobering reminder that even with a world class resource, you are not bound to reap the rewards as a share holder. This is especially the case when large expensive mines have to be built. That is why I feel that GGP and the BOD are playing this exactly right. I suspect others holding various mining shares this morning are reassessing their risk profile, especially those holding shares in the hope of takeovers to avoid them having to build that mine. As a predatory company, what makes more sense, pay a premium or wait until an SXX type situation. Here's to GGP doing this better with their strategy of the JV with a major.
Nice posts DJ. I think you are on the money.
On BH , we are still awaiting assays, but you can bet they have a XRF on site :)
Im not selling , hanging on for the ride !
hope its chartbuster again, he gives me so much hope
Bail me out please GGP,my other Mining stock in a safe jurisdiction just went tits up!!
Tomorrow it is then - still should be worth the wait hopefully.
Never mind - maybe PMO can do another 10% today to keep me happy.
Thanks for the calculations djryan - all make sense to me. The only question I have. would be about your thoughts about being cashed up for 18 months - I can't help but think that unless someone comes with a cash offer for one of the other plays, which I think would be premature, then we should not be afraid of a further placing, indeed, we should probably welcome it IF it means that we further accelerate proving up elsewhere. If I remember correctly in the last podcast, GH mentioned funded for 2019 but I don't recall 2020 mentioned - I am happy to be corrected.I have the utmost trust in GH to play his hand in terms of raising money at the most opportune time for the company and shareholders. In my mind this is like a huge chess game and like chess, sometimes as an observer of the game you question why a piece is sacrificed (analogy for placing) but all becomes clear several moves on.
There are many ways to raise finance of course and placings are just one - more doors will surely open as the NC / Haverion play unfolds and the market takes notice with hard investment.
I am sure that many will disagree but as I say - raising money is part of exploration and if used for the correct purpose (and I don't think the BoD have made a wrong step yet) then it should be welcomed.
In the meantime, I have to admit to being very excited at the prospect of the next RNS!
The other thing to compare is the grades of gold and copper give a real insight to Havieron.
News is due ???
What news ???
DJ, as you say it’s far too risky to trade now when news is due and building so quickly. Why take the chance of being out for point nothing of a pence when news can drop any time.
Why I have given solgold cascabels as a example look at the Alphla footprint and then Havieron reported.
It was some months before the market stirred. RNS 6/6/2016
This is when it woke up to solgold.
Paddy, from the presentation
Please note that Webcasts for Gold Forum Americas 2019 are not live streamed. The presentation for Newcrest Mining Ltd. will be available for on-demand viewing from September 18, 2019 at 3:00 PM (MDT). In the meantime, please research more about Newcrest Mining Ltd. here.
Paddy ,Thanks for info my friend will keep an eye out for webcast later
Personally I think we will see the next set in the quarterly update on the 24th October (roughly 5 weeks) but I wasn't expecting the last set so you never know.
It was roughly half way between the quarterly reports when the results were released last week so maybe that will be the update schedule now - every 6 weeks or so????
Remember Denver presentation is happening at 11.10am (Denver time) today. I think a webcast will be available to watch after so it should be interesting to see Sandeep in action.
Paddy, when do you anticipate drill results for havieron?
By the way you can subscribe to their email list to get the regular updates.....
Someone mentioned yesterday about promotion from Global Mining Research of Havieron and the Paterson in general. I was having a look around their website and you can view their emails from this link
Click on the "Rise of the Paterson" and read all about it......
Some news today please GH,I had a dream and I have a feeling! Prob something I ate!
The reason they opted for RC drilling is down to the deposits been to a maximum depth of 400 metres.
It’s a huge difference in cost and time. We only need a relative average of 1g/T on Blackhills for the entire mass. They will still label it in metre bags and report it in a similar fashion to what we are used too.
All the exploration we have done as been a Big Bang for our buck.
It’s like a systematic set play now on every licence. Most Gold exploration companies do nothing and are out playing golf. We seem to operate to a different level.
I look forward to the story evolving in a patient manner. I think it’s important to not focus on today’s valuation as when the big boys move in it could do a SOLG and move from nothing currently to a half a billion market cap with ease.
Great jurisdiction —Tick

I could keep going. This is now severely undervalued. It’s simple just don’t sell.
This is a simple case of people been impatient and it will cost them money to duck in and out eventually on left field news , it’s not a safe stock to trade anymore. I don’t trade anything. One day it will move big and catch many out. But at the same time it’s important to be sensible incase we have this wrong. Only invest what you can afford to lose half of is my motto and as you move into profit you will feel more risk on.
Sorry just tuned in. Numis have a broker note out with a 4P target and they talk about 3 million oz on current calculations of which we all agreed was on the cautious side. Paddy has done some useful computations factoring in the new step out our holes which extend the system , we also know 5 further holes are done and in the lab.
In the next exploration report from newcrest you will see at least 5000 metres more in my opinion.
When you look at the sheer mass of this thing that’s building month to month I think we can safely say it’s 5 million oz minimum already. When your talking 200-250 metre Intersections and the fact we are still open at depth with high grade zones the deeper we go I think this is getting exciting now. Newcrest are involved with lots of early stage exploration yet we are the target they spit superlatives over in conference calls etc. We appear on all the presentations and are talked about as a major discovery by our peers in the area.
The problem is on 5 million oz we are ranging between a value of 250 million to 500 million depending on the status of the resource. I think when it’s A jorc resorce we are looking 100 dollars minimum an oz worst case so half a billion on 5 million oz valuation base case.
10 million oz the gold in the ground is 1 billion worst case which means at 30% we still have a market cap of 300 million worst case.
Given that we have a lot of promising assets and we discount cash in the bank then I feel 40 million is attributed to Havieron at the minute maybe even less.
So if indeed we prove 5 million oz then the SP on Havieron alone discounting any upside on other licences is.
Current 3 million oz (Numis) 100 dollars x 3 Million=300 million ....
That values greatlands 30% at 90 million which if you add to the balance kind of gets us around 4P which they have a target of.
If we move that to 5 million oz then it’s 150 million to us so SP gets us easily to 6p what I believe we are already worth.
10 million oz and we are looking at a market cap over 300 million on our 30% alone , all for free !!
In the mean time we are free to prove up all these promising licences , imagine Blackhills , and a few other licences progressing to JV and we are seriously looking at Gervaise target of a billion dollar company.
All in my opinion but we are cashed up for 18 months now with some results due. Newcrest already staring down the barrel of 5 million oz
The SP could easily be many multiples of today’s price with the downside limited as we are underpined by the value been created daily by newcrest at their expense.
This isn’t pie in the sky this is playing out exactly how us early investors predicted.
I wonder if we get good results if Newcrest will want us to to drill more or will try and take over the project given their first rights
Its cheaper and quicker. Diamond tends to be used more for deeper targets
