Good afternoon all,
Expanding a little on the PFCCL shortlist of 5 AMISP bidders, for a smart meter/smart grid contract, as Vas has pointed out, these AMISP bidders are:- Gemstar Infra India, HPL Electric & Power, Apraava Energy, Ramalingam Construction and Sai Computers, of which Vas has covered some of the Companies mentioned, the others, some of which, we have mentioned before.
Interestingly, of the AMISP bidders for this contract, only HPL, Apraava Energy and Sai Computers are all on the REC Empanelment List at the moment and all have a Cellular and RF offer. Of the sub-contractor companies mentioned, Iskraemeco and BCITS are also on the list and both with a Cellular and RF offer.

If the REC report is produced in Hindi, please press the " English " button at the top of the page and it should translate.
Good Luck all.

Hi tonyj
I do hope that something is on the horizon, otherwise we're all wasting our time.
Cheers

Are the dealers looking for more shares, sell price remains high, something on the horizon.
Just reading on other BB of question mark over CC capacity for massive orders. I think JC did well to buy up raw materials last year, plus Genus going inhouse meant they were supplying own materials, if CC does the same with other manufacturers, which I think was being suggested, then expansion unlikely to be a problem. DYOR
Smart meters are a necessity and no longer a luxury for Indias power distribution....... interesting read.
I think Cyan did well in 2023 at a time when most awards where not even on the table, or anywhere close. They still managed to pick up decent business.
This expected rollout of SMs is something else.
Today, looking forward into 2024 and beyond with a first tranche of 100 million units being awarded anytime soon, and another 150 million units to follow....then comparing yesterday with tomorrow could be a mistake, if what we expect / hope happens and Cyan continue to get a respectable share of the awards with their partners then there will be no looking back . So far , very good , is my view.
A new chapter is hopefully opening here, lets hope Cyan can make the most of what is its biggest opportunity ever.
There is 'what if' on other BB re takeover possibilities. Sentiment now comes into play. I feel any starting point would be £1 and above. My reasoning is that in the industry if CC is ticking all the boxes, is secure, a reasonable price and easy to install then many manufacturers and solution companies will be interested, additionally CC and its officers appear to be respected for their trading standards. So looking at it logically should an interest be shown I would think there would be a bidding war with the likes of Adani, Genus, Intellismart up front. I say this because the whole 250m train is being set in motion, the focal point of Smart meter is Comms which is now the priority feature that all want to guarantee available to them and not be beholden to others or prices. This was 20p+ at one point in the not too distant past

Good afternoon gizmo, Vas and all.
I think this is also the event that you both highlighted, so thank you for that. Are they CyanConnode coloured ballons I see at the presentation?
Or is it a coincidence.
Good Luck all.

So a possible shares isue on the horizon then....
100% 'correct' record bskiny, you missed that word.
The next best case RNS will be to advise that the finance team have secured some grown up funding. Sadly, I believe that is beyond their capability.
I thank you two. Trouble is with this share it looks good and talked up by CC then along comes a change by Government and all bets are off. However this is farthest that India with its 250m ambition has achieved and we are awaiting as to where the dart lands. I seem to remember that part of these contracts had to be underway shortly to get subsidies from GoI, so if we suddenly have 20m on the books we should be well above 50p but its a funny share and onlookers appear hesitant. Short answer dont know but could well bounce if contract declarations come along together. It is a time when I look for 7am RNS with fingers crossed, LOL.
Colour...your record of 100% doom and gloom may also be at risk soon...lets hope so GLA
Thanks Colour, I'm well aware of tonyj's track record when it comes to predictions but I'm not here to highlight his or anyone else's previous statements, I'm just interested in looking forward and following up on his post from last week, I'm would like to know when he thinks we 'll get to the 40-50p level he mentioned
Good afternoon Vas,
