Hello Vas. I am in the same boat, lack of knowledge. Perhaps LTI or Colour know more regarding Gateways, especially for India. I thought the SIMS were going out from meters using same system as mobile phones, therefore Comms would already be there in big boxes not on the end of poles. I think you see what I am getting at, for CC to operate it first sets up its Gateways on the end of poles then installs meters, if nobody else does it is it our contract DYOR
HI Tony,
My understanding is that Cyan have their own end to end platform, spanning meter endpoints, gateways and
head-end software with both RF and Cellular comms modules and functionality available on the same meter.
My limited understanding is that if a company is laying out modules then they will need to be supported by
associated gateways........so Cyan , along with their competitors will all need to supply a gateway.
Same for cellular

Maybe someone else can answer this question better. Cheers Vas
Morning Vas. Looking at the other systems is CC the only users of Gateways.
'the company would also like to advise that john cronin and heather pea**** will be participating in a q&a session for investors in the coming weeks.'
it's taking them even longer to make up their own questions now. just post the ye results now and we can all get on with it.
Good evening Vas and thank you for the report on Maharashtra. During early June, I believe the Indian election results will be known, so not long to go.
Take care Vas,
LTI.
Some evidence here that smart meter installations are being managed sensitively in some regions during the Indian elections .

Well Colour I said wait until the end of this week for presentation news. Hope JC has not forgotten.

Sorry, missed a bit, should read:-
- Expected deliveries on our backlog as at the end of FY24, will cover approximately 80% of FY25 revenue expectations.
So an optimistic outlook, for next year, also.
LTI.
....... for the Financial Year ended 31st March, 2024 ( FY 2024 ) - published on 16th April, 2024:-
Highlights for the period:-
- Revenue expected to materially exceed market expectations
- £16.9m cash received from customers ( FY23: £10.7m )
- 1.37m Omnimesh modules delivered to customers ( FY23: 391k )
- 55.2k NBIoT gateways delivered to customers ( FY23: 46.3k )
- 2.7m Omnimesh modules ordered for India ( FY23: 2.3m ), of which circa 540k were delivered in FY24
- 106k Omnimesh cellular modules ordered for Thailand
- 52.3k NBIoT hubs ordered for MENA ( Middle East and North Africa ) region ( FY23: 65k )
- Expected deliveries on our backlog as at the end of FY24 will cover approximately 80% of FY revenue expectations
" The post-period has started on a positive note, with an additional order from IntelliSmart under the Strategic Agreement signed in February 2023. Business in other regions remains buoyant and the company is pleased to announce that it is in the process of establishing an entity in the UAE ( United Arab Emirates ) to promote business in the MENA ( Middle East and North Africa ) region."
But as I suggested earlier, we will have to wait and see what the final figures for FY 2024 are, when they are published.
But it will be interesting to eventually find out what the " ....... company expects revenue to be materially above consensus expectations ...... " eventually turns out to be.
Good Luck all.
LTI.
Thanks for the additional info LTI.
That really confirms the shocking state of finance. Costs way too high, margins way too low. If any doubt left, the begging bowl came back within 4 months.
...... Financial highlights ( All of them ) - released on 26th July, 2023:-
- Increase of 23% in revenue to £11.7m in FY23 from £9.6m in FY22, the highest annual revenue for the Group to date after four consecutive years of growth[1]
- Reduction in gross profit to £4.2m in FY23 ( FY22: £5.0m ) as a result of lower margin sales of third-party products
- Increase in operating loss to £3.3m in FY23 ( FY22: £1.0m ) as a result of lower gross margin, higher operating costs and a £1.0m impairment of intangible assets
- Increase in EBITDA loss to £2.9m in FY23 (FY22: £0.4m loss )
- Reduction in adjusted EBITDA[2] to loss of £1.6m in FY23 ( FY22: £0.06 profit )
- Increase in cash position to £4.1m in FY23 ( FY22: £2.4m )
- Increase in cash collected from customers to £10.7m in FY23 ( FY22: £8.2m )
As well as other pieces of news, during this period last year, CyanConnode received an order from IntelliSmart on May 25th, 2023, a Trading Update on July 6th, 2023 and the Finals Results on July 26th, 2023. So we will have to see how the next 3 months unfolds.
Good Luck all.
LTI.
Just RNS now to say if this years financial view is better than the last 5hit show.
Financial highlights
· Increase of 23% in revenue to £11.7m in FY23 from £9.6m in FY22, the highest annual revenue for the Group to date after four consecutive years of growth[1]
· Reduction in gross profit to £4.2m in FY23 (FY22: £5.0m) as a result of lower margin sales of third-party products
· Increase in operating loss to £3.3m in FY23 (FY22: £1.0m) as a result of lower gross margin, higher operating costs and a £1.0m impairment of intangible assets
CC's central role in this will be highlighted in the upcoming Q&A.
Well done all concerned.
Decidedly clean attire or was that just for the camera. Some tonage. Who flung d***.
I'm sure JC will tweet something soon about a sponsorship or CSR deal. After all it would be a good fit.
Silly me, I couldn't help but think that this BBC article had to be about Cyan:-
https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/c254ggrry45o
Well Colour JC did say a few weeks, so give it until tomorrow week. It is a presentation so may be conjuring up some on location pics of work in action. May be just hoping some contracts will emerge but really out of his hands. With prices as they are and what appears to be on the cards from India to ROW I shall probably make one last good buy.
DYOR
I see they are hiring so may be about to kick off.
Sorry, should read " Thank you for the information, Vas, ....... ".
Good Luck.
LTI.
Good morning Vas and all,
Thank you for the Vas, that is a very interesting connection to CyanConnode. So we will have to see if CyanConnode progress from here, in connection to the West Bengal projects.
I believe that the project that you posted on West Bengal recently, is the second to be Awarded in the State. The previous one was for circa 1 million smart meters during February/March 2024, possibly involving the same Companies.
But thank you for the original info, Vas.
LTI.
Q 1......How long does it take to organise a Q&A?
Hi LT
GVPR Engineers is interesting as they presently have an employee called Sudipto Mitra who has been the Vice President - Head of Smart Metering at GVPR Engineers Ltd for over a year.
Previous to this he was employed by Cyan as Vice President Projects and rather interestingly while employed by GVPR he reposted a link to the Cyan recruitment page !

Good morning Vas, bskiny1 and all,
Thank you for the information on Polaris Vas. It was appreciated.
Some more information on the West Bengal project specifically, is contained in the NSGM report from March 2024 onwards, where the report confirms that Iskraemeco India, Polaris Smart Metering, GVPR Engineers and Apraava Energy, all seem to have an involvement in the multiple, West Bengal projects.
The NSGM report started to high-light AMISP's/SI in their reports during February 2024. But as you have indicated Vas, it is now down to patience, on our part.
Good Luck.
LTI.
Hi Bskiny1, No obvious connection....I guess we will have to wait to see who they sub contract too, if anyone.
Its the first AMISP award I have found in ages.
