It was a vote of confidence from the person who bought £70000 of shares. From the counterparty less so
Large, long & strong .....Surrey
Looking very strong. We know Condor stock is held pretty tightly so few more of those and we will hit 40p. Pretty shrewd investment frankly as they could double their money in a short space of time, certainly see 50% return at lower end. Certainly hope the maximum eait now is a month but could be any day as annual results has been delayed pending the sale so they cant hold it back much longer and obviously expecting to tidy everything up in one final blaze of glory :)
What're peoples' positions?
Goodness, finally a decent-sized purchase!
The last trade of the day was a late reported from 8.57 am 204678 Buy at 34.2p which was valued at £70000. It accounted for a significant part of today’s 697000 volume and is a clear vote of confidence at the highest price paid in the last year. Let’s see if we can have another decent rise tomorrow and get this above 40p before a bid is announced.
It would be a nice week if we could have and have and hold these little daily tick ups! GLA
🤣🤣🤣 miss read your post thought you'd admitted to being Lady Boy
If we can hit40p then we move into all paper takeover offers as an acquirer csb sell in a 50% premium and i suspect 60p gets the Jim nod. Really up to us shareholders if we want that.
We have become used to the idea that gold is in a bear market, junior miners doubly so, and Condor tripley so. Even those with low expectations have been disappointed. But that is no longer the case, and just as even pessamistic expectations were exceeded to the downside in that bear market, we may now be approaching a period in which optimistic expectations could be exceeded to the upside.
Most investors hold on too long to losing positions and not long enough to gaining ones. Most of us here are probably guilty of the first, but we need not also become guilty of the second.
Personally I'm reluctant to be drawn on precise predictions, but the situation now is different to that when Condor was first put on the market. Times change. Perhaps our expectations should too.
Why laughable? Sorry to burst your bubble, but JM is not the Messiah. I think my valuation of $125m US is more achievable than yours of $225m US.
I've felt for some time that the 35/36p point will be difficult to bridge. This might have shifted to 40p with the higher PoG. We'll see.
As for outcome, 45p and the low end and 65p at the high end. The low end being driven by more cash in the deal, and the high end being driven by paper, assuming Calibre. If it's the Chinese I think 50p will be a lot harder to achieve. The 80 - 100p calls that some have made will really be down to the price of the acquirer i.e. Calibre if the deal is mostly paper. And it won't be immediate; probably a 1 - 2 year or so outcome, which means sticking with the buyer for an 'extended' period - inverted commas given that extended means something different in Condor world (15 years...).
Good to hear. Was getting worried you were selling out from your messages and possibly missing out on the final multibag dash :)
Laughable. On what grounds? Have you read the FS and followed JM at all?
Unfortunately you are not going to see 90p. I think 50p is a push to be honest.
Incidentally, does anyone use Tobin hood. Interested to have any feedback. Apparently they have 24 hour trading which could be useful?
Tml, yes pretty simple. Most of my holdings are us or Canadian now and I am a simple lady builder 😜
Slippy. Yeah almost a de ramper lol. Mind you the sp did reach around £2 then and very much smaller ammount of shares in issue.
I thought it was first Cnr with the outrageous predictions.
Simms, Havnt sold any for a bit, in fact bought some back higher but getting itchy to let a few go soon if we reach 35 p.
HL no problem, had Mako. Calibre and Equinox previously when gold ran to nearly 2100 in 2020
If we get paper is it easy to trade shares listed on TSX? How would you go about it? TIA
This was before gold had entered into it's all time high bull run.
Jim's going to get this to equiv 90p+.
Last year MC mentioned between 100m - 200m.
Gold has since taken off and added chunks to the bottom line.
50p - meh but got out with a decent profit
60p - yep (nearly a bag from today)
75p+ 🤞 with part paper would be ideal.
45p I still reckon
If the deal ends up being with Calibre we would probably get an early afternoon RNS to coincide with Calibre opening in Canada. I would be happy to take Calibre shares as they are well positioned to do well in the current gold market.
200mil shares in issue @ 33.5p makes it £67M mcap. I don't know what any offer will equate to but as much as i want £1, i cant see a purchaser stumping it up. Maybe somewhere around the 40-50p range? Who knows, but i am happy that i made a small topup on Friday afternoon, so a nice 10% gain there already
