Oh thats nice Eric dont worry I still have my AVCT shares LOL
Will you moan about that investment daily too?
So there it is, the reason you constantly reference ncyt is that you are bitter as you missed it. Oh dear
Bore off, Mortgage. Nobody cares.
Myles going into SNG so I bought some, didn't follow him into NCYT not making same mistake.
Okay Rorkes drift. X
AI, well, it won't in this example but (and I haven't looked at Sona's chart), but if the investor is going to go into a highly volatile, news driven stock then I would still apply the same rules, but the exit prices might show a larger risk than would normally be undertaken, but if it was still seem to be worthwhile then the amount of the initial investment, could (should|) be scaled back to reflect the potential loss.
wyndrum, how on earth will your chart tell you that a bad news RNS (think Sona) will land tmrw and the SP fall by 60% ?
Can I just say how nice it is when someone signs off with a x
Vegas22 live and learn. x
AI, No, not at all. Personally I use charts to base theses sorts of decisions on but each to his own. I am just amazed how often people will spend many £000's buying a stock with no thought to what price it will go up to when they would sell, no thought that if it went down at what stage would they cut there loss, and no idea as to how long they think it will take.
Would you bet a £10 on a horse, not knowing the odds,, what type bet you have placed (to win or each way), or when the race would finish? Seriously I don't think any of us would risk £10 on that criteria and yet we buy stocks really as blind as that. There is a reason why many Pi's don't do well at this game.
PL75.
I think its the at home, or none care setting that will be the final push to a very high SP
That is what will open up economies.
There will be steps up along the way, And I hope there are. But jackpot will be at home tests.
As I say each opinion is valid.
Enjoy our rise for the next few months
wyndrum. so, how does for ecample your exit work when the RNS lands that indicates AVCT LFT has failed ? Do you get a tip off 1st, so you can sell before the bad news hits the general market and public ?
First at 50p then 60p more at £1 ave 82p sold half at initial target at 164p .
In 12 years of trading on AIM ivecwon big and lost big im just saying I'm concerned due to the previously mentioned reason, is that OK.
Believe my i want this to work!!!
wyndrum you appear to be blessed with a crystal ball.
could you tell me also next weekend winning lottery numbers?
So Merlot, what price did you get in and what price did you sell?
AI, the best tool an investor has is a plan in place before he/she buys. And its pretty simple.
A reason why to buy (at the particular price they do). An exit price if the stock goes the wrong way and an exit price if the stock performs as you expect and goes up. And finally a timescale for it to happen.
If these simple rules are considered and there is some reason/logic/plan/method/strategy as to why the buy price and the 2 exit prices are calculated (as opposed to just randomly guessing) then a lot of pain and poorly executed trades should be eliminated.
"a watched pot never boils" we are only 2 months delayed from the expected end of August.
In terms of Covid19, it feels like it's been affecting our lives for years. But in reality, it's only been with us since March....a mere 7months. time plays tricks on us.
Best tool to have as an investor is ... patience
MerlottheBoy - Are you using your Demo Account again? You are telling me you have 65k worth of avacta and comment this...
'Im heavily in here and starting to feel nervous with lack of any updates or products appearing.
Can anyone argue with factual upto date info why I shouldn't be?'
Absolute Weapon.
I'm basically just saying in previous investments when there is radio silence its not good news, and when Al cashed some shares in that raises the anxiety levels. FYI I'm on a free ride here having removed my original investment and hold 40k shares still.
I have done research but this covid situation is a quickly changing situation with several tests and potential vaccines or not so personally I'd like to know how the spit test is progressing more often x
Very interesting posting history. It shows like many of us the poster struggles to keep an even keel when his investments are going up and down. Best thing to stay calm is to do your detailed research or re read it. If that doesnt work then perhaps sell up and put your money under the bed.
Yes, ODX gave an investor presentation on investormeet. If only Awacta had recently done the same thing. Oh... hang on...
I'm a bit concerned too which is why I read the second thread down and found this, it wasn't really that hard

Merlot
You were doing so well then until the last paragraph!!!
Try harder
Getting concerned now.

Accidentally posted this on ODX earlier and while that is not exactly smashing it at least they have been giving some info.
