On news Gmb this morning they demonstrated how to use a test but the test was branded with just NHS not the usual Innova
Isn’t it funny that in October 2020 the pay review body that sets MPs thought they were due 8.1%
Thankfully that was withdrawn, MPs have had very significant pay rises for 8 out of the last 10 years, whilst the majority of public sector workers received minimal pay rises.
The Torys thrive on Austerity.
We are where we are, but I look forward to a number of MPs getting the clap they deserve, and I hope the nurses at the SDT clinic are sympathetic.
Back on topic, I also am getting worried that this Government will stick with rubbish but cheap Chinese LFT tests, in the name of saving money.
Yes they are the innova ones I think.
"As such, the diagnostic accuracy of the Innova SARS-CoV-2 Antigen Rapid Qualitative Test (Lotus Global Company, London, UK) was compared with SARS-CoV-2 RT-PCR from nasopharyngeal swabs"

I got some tests today, they say Lotus global ltd. Are these the Innova ones?

What are the casualty rates for NHS staff David?
davidpqz, at least your not deramping like you usually do when you appear, but do you think the armed forces should get a pay rise every time they enter a war zone?
If someone put their life on the line for me, I'd give them more than 1% or a clap. Have you seen the casualty rates among front line staff?
A lot of people have lost their livelihoods altogether in this pandemic. I hope we are not going to hear endless whining about a 1% award that is actually above inflation and consider that its more than a lot of other folk will get, many of whom will be facing pay cuts. Yes they did a great job but it was their job to do, a one off bonus on the other hand so as to come into line with Wales and Scotland would be a better idea albeit a little late.
Apparently -Innova tests already slated by BMJ for only being approx. 48% accurate. Apparently- supplied by Tried and Tested a company Apparently registered at a house in Finedon, Northamptonshire. meanwhile a number of better tests seem to be stalling through the regulatory process (like for almost a year). hmmm. a shell company? set up essentially to import the innova tests? and suck on the taxpayers future borrowing epidemic udder? for who’s gain? sovereign test my cod piece! the media should be all over this endless waste of money meanwhile those dying on the frontline get 1% more while politicians clap their buttocks together on a thursday from their balconies above! Proud........
I agree, Innova were the only game in town in terms of availability so questionable performance became a secondary issue. However, complaints about inaccuracy and discomfort widely reported across all media will in my opinion helps as they pave the way for Avacta’s (Sovereign) test to be introduced as “the most accurate, easier to use and more comfortable Rapid test made right here in the UK by the best of British biotech companies.”
I imagine the positive press releases and launch promotions are being fine tuned as we wait. Patience required. GLA
They are all Innova. Boris bought a shedload. They’re not very good but they were the best available.
Yep. We now have box loads of them at work
That's the Innova test.
Just picked up my teacher wife's first batch of lat flow tests today, they come in a box of seven!
They're made in China though, by xiamen Biotime Biotechnology Co. LTD. Does anybody know what stats these ones have ?
no doubt schools/kids will be self isolating with false positives or missing cases using these.
CE marking cant come soon enough!
