your alias doesn't inspire confidence A/W ! but yes, on paper this looks x3 undervalued, even with the warnings. There is often a dip before results as the MMs use the uncertainty to scare a few off and stock up, but even a moderate set of results and cautious outlook should push this back to 80. Anything more upbeat and who knows...
Haha..Researcher...the 'always wrong ' refers to a company's share price compared to its fundamental value which is due almost entirely to market sentiment ...my strategy is to buy when I think a share is well below its fundamental value and sell when it's well above it... market participants tend to do the opposite so that must make me a contrarian...looks like I was wrong here though as I got in at 74p..
I also post on the ADVN board as 'candid investot' so if it makes you feel more reassured then read my posts on there...although I am mostly using this board for Amigo.
Cannot help feeling a little sick here
Someone's selling and I am losing my savings daily :-(
SUFCESSEX: I'm also showing a loss...had thought this was heading for 90-100 in short-term when it hit 80! What price did you buy in at?
''That's it for me - just sold my 12 million.''
Peanuts
I am holding 100 Million ;-)
Good Afternoon Maucha
Bought in at 177p for the Dividend
Could of sold in the 180s within a few days but decided to hold on
Never mind its was a punt
Not sure what to make of this TBH, but I've now decided to hold another 12 months now
No Point in selling .... luckily its not a massive investment around £3700
Maybe Top up under 50p ? and fingers crossed praying to God
I knew this was more than just a shaking of the tree...!!
Over 20% of the entire share capital has changed hands.. Need to see the RNS...Is Richmond offloading or acquiring ...
My guess is that the Richmond Group has now bought out all of the other institutional investors perhaps en route to taking it back into private ownership...
If I was them, that is what I would be doing..
I cannot see Richmond being the seller and offloading 100 million shares for this price and forsaking the majority shareholder position.
Okay SUFCESSEX:
Stand firm, no point earthly in bailing now and hopefully it won't move south any further but yes, would be a big opportunity to top up (and sell this tranche on a good double digit bounce) and you could break even overall. 15.380% dividend is crazy, of course no guarantee that this will hold but I haven't seem many stocks offering such a high yield!
Oh I'm not sure God listens to the likes of us here btw. I think some here are in league with the other guy, (the one with horns and the three-pronged fork)!
I don't have much choice but to hold, as with my luck I would sell and it would shoot back up tomorrow :-(
Beevorma: Well I would like to fall as much as it needs and gain some real momentum. Can't see the point of bailing at this stage, gotta be some recovery back to 80 or 90 at least in the short-term!
Hi MikeH....I have read up on this share so much since the weekend that I can't remember precisely where I came across it, but the statistic stuck.I will retrace my steps and hopefully get back to you..
What is your view about what has happened...
Mikeh13: If you google "15% of new loans amigo", you will find various sources from when Amigo started lednding in Ireland in February. https://www.thejournal.ie/amigo-loans-moneylender-ireland-4476005-Feb2019/
and it appears to me that this is info from the company relating to how responsible their lending is but that's only the way I read it.
MikeH...the statistic came from an article that appeared on the 'this is money" website and was in response to the panorama programme called "easy money tough debt" it argued that amigo had filled the space left by payday lenders and that they would lend to anyone who could provide a guarantor that they would chase as soon as the borrower defaulted..
Amigo replied by saying that their application process was rigorous and that only 13% (not 15%) of applications were approved...it didn't say what the figure used to be ..hope this helps ...
