I sit on the sidelines for a few weeks watching the positive and the negative posters. When I decide to make the plunge, I then systematically filtered all Derampers.
I have already made my decision to buy in and don't want these deramping *******s making me sell.
I had fallen for these guys before, sold up and then majority of the time shares have increased above my purchased price.
I find this plan generally works for me. Once you have bought, positive comments is nice to read, even if the price is down a little. What you don't want to do is sell at a loss unless you personally think it's doomed (INTU..Was my failing)
Atm I am holding several Shares in companies which Ive purchase over the last few months and they are all down due to CONVID lasting longer than i expected. I feel confident that these will rise, so I am leaving them there until Boris and chums comes clean about the whole thing.
Topgun good luck in your next venture.
Migsmcl86 that is sound advice and something I should have stuck to. Thank you
Top gun I feel for you man. I assume you are new enough to this game?
If you are I'll give you advice that I have gained from slipping into similar pitfalls to yourself.
Invest what you are comfortable potentially losing your whole investment. Set your exit price and stick to it.
This way you aren't tempted to sell on a massive loss and can wait until the upside (if there is one).
Each time I've sold at a loss the share price has went north of my purchase price within 8 weeks. No company I invested in went to zero but obviously that is always a potential outcome.
If you are prepared to invest an amount you can accept losing completely then it eliminates the temptation of selling at a loss.
These boards can be fun but toxic too for sure.
Cheers all appreciate the positive comments about moving forward and advice
Hopefully it will come back it’s been hard going this last year what turmoil. Hope now we can get on with things and get a few positive end and a steady rise in sentiment and more importantly so good luck all
I like most punters here also read the board comments, but never take any notice of ramppers or de-ramppers
Alway use my own gut instinct
Look at it this way mate here is a company which had twice its MC cash in the bank had set a side enough to cover the complaints which someone here mentioned could be 80 Million max (set a did 112 million)
Will soon start lending, got the uncertainty hanging over the BOD removed and by all account their 45000 current customers are or will soon start repaying their loan amounting to 20 million a months income
This company only two years ago was IPO’d at over a Billion pounds and their share price hit over 250P at some point so why on earth would you panic and take a 6K hit?
Imagine if you had put the 10K you invested in the bank, how much do you think you would have earned on it over a 12 months period?
We are sometimes too greedy and expect to double our money on shares in two weeks , it is not like that in real world
And the bloody derampers have the nerve to accuse those actually invested and enjoying the potential of costing people money
Topgun
Tomorrow we may see this a little lower as it's been sell off Friday for weeks. 4k might get you 40000 or more meaning your loss in actual shares wouldn't be 6k once it goes back up. A risk but no more so than trying to chase it back somewhere else
"
Top gun you need to learn to hold tight when its dropping.
Patience generally pays off it just takes some time."
So you think the guys in at £1.10 are savvy holding on?
Look at the investment, be prepared to cut losses and move on as required. Don't hold on for holding ons sake
"Bought in at 18.5p (£10k) and held all the way to 8.9p. Sold at a 6k loss today FIVE MINS before the RNS. The derampers finally got the best of me. Extremely gutted. These boards are toxic. 6 weeks of seeing it drop everyday to lose out now. So so gutted"
You could easy have bought in mid 9s for a while after the RNA, only losing another 5/10% onn£4k which is trivial when you crystallised a £6k loss an hour earlier.
Topgun,
So sorry to hear about your losses.
One lesson I have learnt from these discussion board is not to listen and trust everything they say. Do some research and try to understand what is you are buying. One thing I have noticed over the years is DeRampers are much more dangours than odd rampers.
This morning we had few of DeRampers saying this is going to 7p,6p.. etc. No one is here now.
You got panic and sold and lost 6k.
I hope you will make the money you lost today.
All the best
Chippy that’s a bummer but it will come, trust in the 3 amigoes and don’t give up. Or say adios. I’ll get me coat.
Topgunn,
Sorry matey. Should have held on. Just filter the doomers.
I don’t see sxxx, just green.
More green is a signal we are going up.....
Fundamentals are fine. Cash et al, still making profit in turmoil.
I almost almost was about to add at 9.5p, but switched off to have lunch. Lol.
Lessons learn’t both ways.
You will have more luck in the near future I am sure
Chippy - 84p??? Blimey!
I hope you've been BUYING now and averaging down like a madman!
You should have more sense you’ve done the hard work by hanging on just not long enough. Think yourself lucky you’ve only lost 6k I’ve got to wait for 84 p to get my average back you’d have made a nice profit by then lol
Topgun Im sorry for your loss, I was so tempted to sell at a big loss, but had a glass of vino instead,
these sharks are simply ..... ill let others choose the next word
@TopGun. I am so sorry to hear that. I did the same with a small amount, thinking other places might make some loss back!
...and you didn't buy back in 5 mins after the RNS?
Top gun you need to learn to hold tight when its dropping.
Patience generally pays off it just takes some time.
you will likely get another buy in opportunity to limit your losses here if you are patient
Topgun123 - sorry to hear that! If you buy now and price hits 20p, you'll about break-even and then profit - BUT, understand you sold for a reason and AMIGO might not be for you! GL!
Commiserations, TopGun. Hope you find a good home for it and make it back.
