The spread is a joke why won't they let this fly it's been to long now its going to cause people to not invest :(and on paper albas assets are fantastic it's soooooooo frustrating
lost £2000 value when it rose from 10% up to 11.2% up but i am here for the long run, just find it out sometime :0.
I think the RNS took MMs by surprise it did me as i checked at 0730 lol, they are working out how best to screw us over imo...
@Star
I am of this thought lost trust in him tbh just know we have very very good resources and that it should reflect in the share price soon i hope this means we can get to 10p some day now as long as we don't get more self destructive RNSs from the team ..
GLA ATB
Spread doesn’t bother me....it’s the fundamentals that I am interested in and those are extremely good here. The spread will close soon enough, so do not worry. GLA
Maybe more news is on the way and they can't let the brakes off yet?
@ian67 I think you are spot on with your "More news" comment
Please do your own research
from my quick calcs as I have little time today I can see good reasons why the fundamental value of each share could be 2.6p and very few reasons on why it should be less than 1p
Feed the figures from today's RNS through first equity's research note and methodology for valuation and you may see why
Elir, my maths is has always been crap.
Just to make sure I am understanding correctly. Its your opinion that the market has undervalued Alba by 1000%?
Is this an enterprise valuation?
Out of curiosity, based on your calculations; what value would you have assigned to the SP yesterday?
Yesterday, we thought 250k tonnes in Amitsoq..
Turns out there's a hell of a lot more!
Sometimes it takes a few days for the market to catch on.
There was a time when the brokers note suggested a potential value of 14p a share. Of course that only factored in everything always going hunky dory with no setbacks. HH fizzling out quickly put paid to that particular target, otherwise I remember my own calcs arrived at 3-4p just for that asset alone. One damp squib gone pffft but perhaps several rockets still to come! :-)
Using the most conservative estimates using the lower of source quantity and based on the lowest value for our graphite we are sitting on $1.6 billion.
Why is this not being reflected in the share price?
And Jeremiah looking at the 5 year Alba chart, what is the highest value its ever reached?
> Why is this not being reflected in the share price?
Have you watched Dragon's Den? Many times business owners will go on and provide a massive valuation for their business idea. But they've no revenue, no contracts with distributors, nothing. Just some prototypes and some graphical materials. The Dragon's will then tell them that their business is CURRENTLY worth a fraction of what the owner claims. That's what we have here - a business with potential but it needs proving up. Only then will the share price reflect the value of the assets.
Angelsey if it will cost £300M to extract £1.6B of value over a 15 year period.
Would you factor that into the company valuation & relative SP?
I don't know if Alba is currently generating enough income to pay salaries & opex let alone funds to pay for exploration.
Capex is relevant even though some may dismiss it as irrelevant.
Trying to get a handle on the implications of the figures in this morning's RNS, been taking a look at Tirupati Graphite (TGR).
Optiva Securities released a report on the stock dated yesterday.
TGR "now expects to have developed 84,000 tpa of primary flake graphite production and 32,000 tpa of downstream graphite composite production by 2024 ...".
It looks as if the figures in Alba's RNS of this morning's are pretty big.
Lots of buys at full ask now coming in. GLA
Ocelot to keep things in perspective, having briefing looked at that company you have used comparatively; they not only have a production licence but have the infrastructure in place to have the capacity to produce that amount.
What does Alba have in terms of infrastructure in Greenland?
.328 ask on HL ATM
We are all looking at final numbers. B.O.F.P rules apply. Fishing in the dark we make our own numbers up. But one thing for sure we are sitting on a bigger pot than origional numbers stated ( if jor'd) an if correct a joke worthy current sp. Even with all the building and licences the ore will not magically disappear. GL
ShouldveSold,
As I said, I was simply trying to get a handle on the implications of Alba's RNS, I do not claim any detailed knowledge of TGR.
Ocelot I don't mean to burst anyones investment bubble here but let's keep expectations realistic.
Does anyone know of the current infrastructure that exists in Greenland for graphite production?
Does Alba need to build a processing plant? Dig a mine? Will the processed ore need to be transported offsite by a particular vehicle. Does a road currently exist to & from the site for transportation to occur or will roads have to be built?
Guys Alba is too early into this licence to be questioning why the share price isn't 10x higher than it should be based on the news today.
There is not going to be a day shift of 10 guys with pick axes mining & then selling that ore to the local market in a months time with sales of millions of pounds. This project will take years of investment to reach maturity.
A mining major Will have the capex to expedite the large scale operation required, Alba does not.
I concur. Long way to go, no doubt placements along the way.
But in 3 years time the EV industry will be peaking and will be shifting a shed load of graphite out to service supply chains in what is the biggest growth industry in today's world.
