Bondy, so you’re staying invested in AFC yet you dislike the CEO and post countless negativity with some posts taking a minute or longer to read ( big effort ) and are willing to hold ?
Cheeky boy, no, I’m not saying that. I think this company is sitting on Novel technology which if the company was under the right leadership could be doing much better. I’m for the technology and the theory, I’m against the deliverer.
Bondy, are you saying that you have made the wrong decision to buy AFC shares?
Are you no longer backing your decision?
“If I was to speculate, and that is all it is, it was decided sometime back that the best way forward was developing the HFC and solid cell. That would involve little publicity whilst they were working on it”
Ok, so what you’re saying is that from roughly September when Iain would have handed his notice in, and ‘50 qualified leads’ and ‘multiple orders’ were being talked about they knew none of it was going to be delivered? Sounds about right Alt, ver Adam Bond that.
A mere novice compared to some holders ....without doubt this is the most exciting time to be involved with AFC ....just need AB to prove it ......
12 years actually .....but i am not keeping tabs .... ;-)
Not earnt my stripes yet ....hoping to make the 2nd reserves list ....just behind DW .... ;)
Klunk, “first rule about AGM club, we don’t talk about AGM club”
;-)
This years AGM .......WOW .....it will be ........Hallo mate how u doin '.......promise all top posters will be there ?
Alt,
Nothing happened between AFC and Iain Thompson, as per his blog it was his decision, a 'lifelong dream' that he realised after a push from Ollie Holloway, not AFC.
Whilst its taken a few weeks to set the business up, this is the realisation of a lifelong dream and I’d like to take the opportunity to thank a number of people that have helped me to get to this point. These include:
Jeremy Hague at Cloud Accountancy, handling all of our finance back-end with the minimum of fuss;
Asgoo Pirbhai and the team at Reach Marketing, delivering their usual swift and quality job on my initial marketing; and
Ollie Holloway at Seven Coaching, giving me the push that I needed to go it alone.
Seg, People tend not to be such arrogant, argumentative ****s face to face.
Seg, he was implying I was bad mouthing the company after selling to buy back in cheaper.
He and maybe a few others have forgotten but the reason I was trying to get shareholders organised was because of the poor comms and poor performance.
They seem to forget now we’ve gone from 4p to 40p via 90p
Thought you’d reply even though you said you wouldn’t. I sold after the drop, not a trader trait.
Do svidaniya
Hopefully the silence will end soon.
And all the current BS ends.
Still positive but a little concerned.
All views welcome.
No axe to grind.
Well they are still increasing staff I’ll have a look and update the list to show recent further uptake in staff at the company over the last couple of months

Alt, your post is blatantly untrue and shows you to be single minded, arrogant and suffering from a selective memory.
Changing names whenever you throw your toys from the rather than taking a breath and accepting this is a public BB where control is in the hands of the moderators shows a lack of a grasp on reality.
I’m not a trader and my posting history will show that my purchase and selling of the company was due to large volume traders manipulating the price exacerbated by the poor comms from the company and dislike of the self congratulatory manner shares were allocated to the BOD. I have never criticised the tech the ethos or the aims of the company. But as a public listed company, there is an expectation of progress and to keep those invested abreast of that progress. Be it positive or negative.
Alt filtered, the first ever.
It can’t be just that BB not for a brand new facility anyone would have wanted to show that off
I just think the warehouse was not fitted with anything and they wanted to keep that under wraps
I agree the PR is so so poor I have complained on this this week It’s like they want investors to walk away or be shaken from given up share shares
It’s easily sorted but why it’s not a priority is beyond me
Alt-muddle
In your previous history you claimed to have a trading account .....not such a problem for the well informed ...just good economics ......no concerns from me about that .
Regarding the hanger I think they were more worried about earlier snaps of the old facility they placed on line showing just one unit and an empty space it got a lot of negative spin .
It’s only when I found those images on line showing the completion of the refurbishment they seemed to later publicise it but only really mentioned office space
Looking back it was clearly an empty warehouse space excluding the very nice fitted out office spaces and just being used for office space at that time .
I was keeping tabs on that all year and found nothing new .
Was that aimed at me Alt?
Thanks Segedunum but I think you may be in the minority regarding me.
Many seems to think I’m gamekeeper turned fox.
Not true but everyone is entitled to an opinion unless it’s regarding religion, race, gender etc which now can be considered and recorded as a hate crime even without investigation or conviction!
The brave new world eh…
Hi Segedunum ...... Another believer in chippyjo here ...... specially if i was in a passenger in the plane he was flying .....such a shame the personal insults have got out of hand .....to many good posters on this BB have taken refuge while the insults fly .....
Alt, my point was why did AFC make Rolec news? I don’t think they are the right target partner. More a charge point supplier than energy producer. And I’ve said many times ABB is the right partner. Not sure they are interested in the liquid system though.
Also Haggis talks about construction sites having space. As an engineer I worked on many sites and space is almost always at a premium so energy density is important.
There will also be a period of “adjustment” if new fuels are to be used as well.
HS2 may have more space.
Alt,
Nobody knows if ROLEC are still in the game or not. AFC working with ABB does not include any exclusivity.
"The agreements do not license ABB or AFC Energy's background technology and reflects a commercial model for system deployment leveraging the mutual capabilities of both companies working in partnership. There is no exclusivity afforded to either company under the agreements. "
AFC will supply Fuel Cell systems to any EV charger manufacturer that want's them, whether that be ABB or ROLEC or anyone else.
Iain just wanted the big money that comes with running your own company and charging contractors rates instead of sitting on a salary forever. Definitely what I would describe as progressive/motivated.
