On 2nd reading I'm very glad I bought back in. I think this an excellent deal importantly we get a 49% stake in what should become a fast growing company in key growth sector. If rumours are correct concerning improved performance of Snorkel then the SP is due a significant re rating. Congratulations to the TAN management.
What do you mean by 25% holding if floated, why not 49%?
Just read it ... need some time to consider whether this is good or not so good. At least TAN maintain a 49% holding in the consolidated company and receive $15 million in 20 monthly payments. So TAN will have a 49% stake in what should become a much larger outfit. Sounds OK perhaps not the headline grabing deal some were hopeing for but good news all the same and will ensure the survival of TAN as well.
Ist Jan it is then. Seems like someone knew just before the bell. http://www.londonstockexchange.com/exchange/news/market-news/market-news-detail.html?announcementId=10748884

Very quiet here. Well tomorrow is mid week so hopefully we'll here something. If there's no news I can see the SP dropping but IMHO that doesn't mean the deal is off or that another extention is required. As Myo says it could just be a case of crossing the ts' and dotting the i's. Of course the weather may be playing it's part in the delay. Whatever, I think some sort of announcement should be made if only to clarify any reasons for any delay. Good luck to all.

So its not 60 days from the rns date then?
Part of Email to {CREDIBLE} poster on other bb Exclusivity expires mid next week. Thanks Darren
Thanks for clarifying the Liberty situation. I'm sure Ashok would be very interested in TAN for a tie up in one way or another. Yes keep popping into the SYNC board and very much like what I see especially as I was able to build a large stake at rock bottom prices. An awful lot to look forward to both for TAN and SYNC ... just don't want to get carried away with my optimism.
I think your probably right im not going to sell yet. Thanks for the comments
I'd never say any investment is a no brainer, but IMHO the worst case scenario is TAN are forced to sell SEVUS and SEV which I would imagine would attract considerable interest. We know Liberty are waiting in the wings to buy SEV and I'm sure they are not the only ones. So OK the downside IMHO is relatively low. But if they were forced into a sale then the shares could be suspended for a while tieing up our funds. This is just my personal opinion I could be very wrong!!
It all depends on the SEVUS deal. If that goes through then IMHO TAN's future looks extremely rosy ... But if things don't go as we hope then they are going to be very short of cash and, unless a partner can be found to provide additional funding, be forced to sell all or parts of the business . As mentioned earlier the value of TAN's stake in SEVUS alone is arguably equal if not more than the current SP.
So basically this share is a no brainer its going up Monday if not January?
NOTHING CHANGED Never had a job here all week!-- Still scraping around for spares.== SP almost =5P --Old money WOW, --///// Mickey Mouse still using the company blog, ----comes out on a rise in SP , AND PULLS THE DU- -IES On board. What is leo saying?
Would the person who stated earlier in the week "+30p by Friday" please stand up and go and play somewhere else.
THE fortune of us depresed share holders..............tan mangement used to report very little to the market in recent 2-3 years, and when they did it was always bad news.................is it about to change????????? I gess will have to wait and see.........i have taken my recent 10p placement only in order to bring my averge down and so far so good...........however ,we all could do with some good news for a change........................GLA....AND.ATB..........
May I add that once the SEVUS deal goes through it will mean that TAN will have more than sufficient cash to both see out the recession and to provide the capability to gear up to meet the recovery. Presuming that happends then in a years time the current SP will be a dim and distant memory. IMHO opinion one of the reasons for Snorkels sluggish recovery compared to it's competitors is that many of it's potential customers will be wary of buying from a company that is in financial difficulties. Again once this deal goes through that will not be the case. Fingers crossed that all goes well, but IMHO the potential hugely out ways the risk. However I'm prepared for bad news if comes.
Oct 20th
Exactly, that formed part of my reasoning for getting back in and Myosotis highlighted the same yesterday. I'm afraid it's just a case of very poor investor sentiment. Rightly or wrongly most who post on these BB's have absolutely no confidence in the BOD which IMHO is largely unjustified. Lets face it it wasn't for TAN setting up SEVUS and the subsequent pending deal then the company would have gone to the wall due to the deepest recession since the 1930's. Unlike most of their competitors they have not got the advantage of being part of a much larger organisation with deeper pockets. TAN have had to manage the recession on a shoe string. Sorry rant over.
I have followed this company for over a year. I believe in TAN to a certain degree. You have given ZERO facts and ZERO sources. Anybody can guess and get things right, I do it all the time (see mondays post). At least mine are based on over 12 months of watching and researching. Im not a gentlemen and have no intention of acting like one , particularly not in the face of a ramper.
Can someone please confirn excluivity 'start date'. As confirmed with Tanfield, not guess work.
you are bit harsh.. please ignore my views if you don't like it. but behave like a gentleman. we will both see what happen on Monday. i am very positive and true believer on this company. If you don't beleive on this company then sell your stock and walk away.
