Is that an American Billion or an English Billion?
Long time holder of Tan, that's the best thing I heard in a long long time! Great interview. Cheers for the link Myo.
Nice interview thanks for the link.
Yup...the dude just cannot stay away from the press....yipppeeee, we have been starved for too long. We just need some info on that magic TLA,,....an IPO.
time for the bar........or bed! lol
or count
so much money i cant spell
£18billon
5 trucks per day = 1800 per year x 20 locations = 36000 trucks per year 36000 x Average £50000 per truck? = £180,000,0000 turnover
Thanks for info - nice result questionable ?
Thanks for the response Myo - useful. I kind of agree with Moro25's view that the risk is that the IPO won't happen. Or that somehow TAN will be frozen out before it does. I can't think that a well-managed US operation would, in effect, raise a lot of money via an IPO just to hand it over to TAN. Also, I think the Tesla valuation, while interesting, probably won't work for SEVUS. Tesla make a high value, ostentatious consumption sports car with good unit profitability. SEV is about more utilitarian vehicles bought by cost-conscious commercials. So if even half of Roy Stanley's forecast comes through that's good enough for me! Stay on side everyone - 2011 should be good. Just not sure yet how good!
Where is everyone,! Any idea why the big rise today?
I think Myo has just laid out how the funding for the acquisition of SEVUK has been raisedby SEVUS and has no bearing on the outcome. Having said that, I too would like to know the answer to the $64k question. My guess is, that with the significant upside there seems to be here, one of the biggest potential downsides may be that SEVUS decide not to IPO in the end?? So the risk reward certainly implies potential significant downside - only fair!!
So come on Myo, some of us are simple folk with little brains. What does all that mean in terms of the 2011 prospects for TAN? Is SEV going to make us TAN holders any money or not?
Probably stop losses triggered and those who have been around for a while and want to move on. I was here at 23p but will stay around until some decent news/sp then out! If I can get 35p, I will be happy.
everyone's scattering like a flock of scared pigeons!! Doesn't make any sense to me why everyone's suddenly selling!
It does, but how long for. It will, like all shares, go back up again! Fortunately, I don't have much here. I have faith in the company and because the supply for Electric vehicles is well on the up, and in a few years will really flurrish, I don't realy think that TAN will suffer much medium term.
Looks like the arse is falling out of tanfield
Looking at the breakdown of your figures, I can certainly see why the BOD would like to achieve 200p per TAN share. To achieve a $1 billion float, I would expect that some serious orders would need to be announced and Mr Hansel to really crank up the PR over the pond....... All of which is not beyond the realms of possibility and should have a possitive impact on the TAN sp.
Myo, thanks for the clarification..... My interpretation of the dilution is pretty much the same. I guess it's now just a waiting game until a float value is established and a true monetry value to TAN can be calculated. At this point in time, I wouldn't know where to start to acertain a float value, but your comparison to Tesla doesn't seem too unrealistic?
okay so sold at 28 odd and back in at 26 so investing some of the profits from buying at 17p. reckon others have done the same in regards to taking some profits but reassuring to see price is shoring up getting ready for another surge on the next news.
Yes only a small stake in OPE at the moment just sitting back to see how things develop. I've just posted an article on Ashok Leyland on the OPE BB.
Big Typo ..... Should read "The situation is made worse by investors perception of the TAN board, largely UNJUSTIFIED IMO" Appologise to all concerned
It's frustrating admittedly but I have to agree with your point concerning whether or not to issue an update regarding the recovery of the AWP business. The situation is made worse by investors perception of the TAN board, largely justified IMO. As you say if they publish a a positive update only for sales to drop off in the next Q then all credability is lost. On the plus side Bryan Hansel is taking every opportunity to generate interest in SEV US. A little more patience is required and if the SP continues to slip then when funds become available I'll be topping up again Having reduced my portfio to 6 stocks my strategy now, when the opportunity arises, is to gradually build up my holdings in tech and manufacturing stocks rather than miners. IMHO as we exit the recession these now have a great deal more value and potential. The heard are still charging after miners and oilers providing opportunities to build stakes in TAN, OPE and others at literally rock bottom prices.
http://fleetdaily.blogspot.com/2011/01/smith-electric-vehicles-us-finalizes.html See, Hansel cannot stay away from a quote in the press- note the point about how the 49% holding by Tan will be diluted in new share issues. Nice..., roll on the IPO.
