seball - 17 Dec'10 - 09:44 - 78661 Until a deal is signed off then it is not concluded. Terms can be agreed days before any deal is concluded, signatures matter. SEVUS have very little choice but to deal, or watch other EV companies overtake and take all their grade 1 contacts. Golden rule in company business; 'Do not fail to deliver'. {no excuses}

http://gsablogs.gsa.gov/wheelsandwings/2010/12/05/all-electric-zero-emission-delivery-vehicle/ All-Electric, Zero-Emission Delivery Vehicle Sunday, December 5th, 2010 A “ride and drive” event has been scheduled for the Pentagon and we respectfully request you take 20 minutes to witness what is being offered to our military and Federal Fleet Managers as a means to eliminate our fossil fuel addiction for all medium/heavy duty trucks. This truck, currently in production and on the GSA schedule, will be available for viewing in the Pentagon courtyard. Imagine what this vehicle could do for the military and or your Federal Fleet with regards to fossil fuel reduction mandates! December 8-10, 2010 (Wednesday-Friday) 0900-1600 Located in the courtyard at the Pentagon THE PERFECT NON-TACTICAL VEHICLE FOR HAULING AND DELIVERY. The Smith Newton is the world’s largest electric delivery vehicle, with a top speed of 50 M.P.H. – and a range of more than 100 miles on a single charge. All across a military base, all day long, the rugged Newton can haul more than eight tons of cargo. This all-electric non-tactical vehicle supports the military’s energy independence initiatives for fuel-use reduction. The Newton is fuel-emissions free, and stores energy when stopping through a process called “regenerative braking.” It also delivers more power in a quicker, easier-to-drive package than its diesel or gas equivalents. BUILT IN THE U.S.A. Smith vehicles are the first all-electric, zero-emission commercial trucks produced in the U.S. The Newton is perfect for a wide range of non-tactical uses. The vehicles can be equipped with a flatbed, box, or refrigerator but also outfitted for use as aerial platforms, mobile offices and more. Operations and maintenance costs are lower. Energy costs are easy to gauge and not subject to fluctuating oil prices. The Newton is environmentally friendly … and drivers like its quick 0-30 speed, and easy no-shift driving. This is the long-term solution – built for the short haul. Thank you for your time and we look forward to seeing you there! Robert Barrett Smith Electric Vehicles

Shares in Issue (m) 94,077 Market Cap (£m) 17 (SP) 17p If SEVUS offer £10 mil + M Cap £17 mil = £27mil = SP 30p £15 mil = 35p £20 mil = 40p £25 mil = 45p £30 mil = 50p £35 mil = 55p These comments from RS (as kindly posted by moltke in his excellent AGM report) rather give the lie to any contention of a worse than originally structured deal here: 'The first SEVUS deal did not offer sufficient for shareholders. It is necessary to restructure the deal and revisit investors. There can be no guarantee that a deal will go ahead. Discussion with a number of Funders is well advanced. SEVUS has orders for 400+ vehicles and potential of 600 - 1000 in the pipeline. He has a personal target and moral obligation and is working hard to 'get you back to £2 a share.' From original Offer; · Offer for Smith Electric Vehicle Division Assets · £37.0 million in cash (equivalent to 50p per existing Tanfield Share in issue) · An additional £33.3 million contingent credit to the benefit of Tanfield in any SEVUS IPO offering prior to September 2015 (equivalent to up to 45p per existing Tanfield Share in issue)

Tanfield {Smiths} seem to be doing everything right except good PR. It was local newspaper who broadcast Snorkel news. http://www.vertikal.net/en/news/story/11185/
