I’m expecting my broker (AJ Bell) to sort it. If the dividend hasn’t landed in my account by 15 June I’ll chase them. As a shareholder you have beneficial ownership but the legally registered owner (in the capacity as your nominee) is your broker and it is them that Amur will deal with and it is your broker that had to deal with any requirements to secure your dividend.
Do tje ordinary shareholders keeping shares on their nominee account need to do anything?
Thanks again Ilovesushi
Astar.
On the register Halifax is holding your shares as a Nominee. So AMC brokers will pay them. Then sit back do nothing and see Halifax credit your account. Its easy for brokers to pay a nominee in one go rather than hundreds whose addresses may have changed, or be dead etc. Leave the work for Halifax. There is nothing for you to do.
Many thanks Ilovesushi

"As a UK resident and with Halifax share account. I have both ISA and normal share dealing accounts, do I need to register with 'signal shares' to receive my payments".
No.
I said I was watching with interest - I did not say I wanted to buy - far from it!
It is just that the rawfishloving ramper really irritates me - so lets see hat happens with his prediction.
.... a UK resident and with Halifax share account. I have both ISA and normal share dealing accounts, do I need to register with 'signal shares' to receive my payments?
Any guidance is greatly appreciated
With regards Cineworld it's possible that there has been some confusion with Companies:
https://www.reuters.com/markets/deals/theater-chain-amc-says-no-longer-talks-acquire-cineworld-2022-12-21/
You can't even get 1.8p to sell and just look at all those offers on the ask. Looks like SP is stuck in the mud!
Methinks the next 'vision' will unveil within the next 3 weeks.
"suggested RTO targets for RY include: Cineworld, Purple Bricks, ...."
lol.
0.4 pence remaining value total is 2.2 pence.
"Suggested RTO targets for RY include: Cineworld, Purple Bricks, UKOG and Unbound"
So.. RTO into 4 companies that are already listed? Wow. That makes perfect sense.
Please do explain.
This to trade around the 1.8-1.9 mark for the foreseeable.
Well done to all holders, I timed my sell badly.
Clarity on the taxation status and the uncertainty that the RNS provides around payment process will see this struggle to go much further north imho.
We have a Board comprised of highly educated people with many years of mining experience on the Board and yet between them they do not have an ounce of common sense!
The correct procedure before announcing the payment of a special dividend is to carry out proper due diligence to find out what the tax implications are for AMC shareholders before making a decision to declare a special dividend.
As I posted yesterday the Board issued an RNS 235 days ago stating that they are going to turn their full attention to the tax implications of the payment of the special dividend.
The RNS issued yesterday provided the XD, record and payment dates but there was no information about the tax implications so shareholders are left in limbo so this is hardly what you call turning your full attention to the matter!
AGE
G, if you mentioned it to TW then well done. Seems a bit of a coincidence that we finally hear something. SPA had had numerous other shareholders contact them as well. Certainly the RNS seems a bit thrown together. Will be pleased to draw a line under this….

TC101 most people now have a nominee. Few have certificate form. I have some from 30 years ago. Now it is all digital. When you bought you shares will be held in HX account. So AMC will pay them. Then HX will pay to you.
All my shares are held by ii, do I need to do anything or will they handle everything ? FWIW I suspect the trading will be suspended whilst they allocate payments.
Great timing mate :-)
Just heard back from Freetrade re dividend. No need to apply, Freetrade will sort it.
Sushi - not sure. I just bought them as I usually would I.e placed the order and done.
I’ll give HX a call
I would call them before 2nd June TC101, just to be sure. I have to call Barclays to cancel my Dividend Reinvestment Plan (DRIP) anyway, I'll keep my shares but don't want to reinvest before any plans become clear.
TC101
Your shares are not held in certificate form are they? HX is a nominee?
Guys/gals - help please.
I have a HX account which I trade from. Do I need to update my bank details or something to get my divi? My bank details haven’t changed.
I suspect I’m the divi here but any clarity will be appreciated
