We are apparently 3 years ahead of any of the competition, maybe we should start making money on the tech we have and then improve it after feedback, its not going in cars til next year mostly, as said before supercruise is 5 years old tech and is deemed the best solution at the moment.
Im not looking for an argument, just saying.
Phil That doesn't mean R&D won't go on and increase maybe. I'd be concerned if a company like SEE was curtailing it's R&D.

KK says it’s not for r and d. As I say, what do I know
Phil Cenkos has R&D increasing year on year. Which is what you'd expect, stand still and get passed.

The automotive chip works in combination with the oem system design which is integrated, the same will happen with guardian as it states in the rns fovio is for cars and trucks. The money we raised isnt for r and d so that suggests no g3. We are a software company now thats my view on it, but what do I know.
I think there will be a G3 Phil IMO. I believe Guardian is running on Fovio now but doesn't have all of it's functions onboard and still had some functions off chip in discrete solutions. I believe G3 will either onboard more of fleet's needs or improve interoperability with the needs of the industry. Remember that fleet will have different needs than automotive (sending monitored data for a start).
Mr BB
I dont think there will be a G3 as such because guardian is on fovio for oem production line fitting into trucks this is from the fleet business update from September 2018, it was probably the only good thing on that update.
The FOVIO chip, the Company’s embedded software product for the Automotive and Truck OEM markets, was introduced in 2018 with two automotive program wins and its lower cost allows the Company to deploy into, and scale up in, this high- volume market. The real world, on-road data captured through the Company’s Guardian product has already played an integral role in the development of the FOVIO driver monitoring engine and remains critical to the Company’s ongoing software development.
I would have expected G3 by now so hopefully imminent & embedding Fovio @ point of manufacture would be a transformational game changer for Fleet -particularly if monitoring services were offered to all buyers as a relatively low cost add on .
Hyms, 50 customers since Jan that's very impressive Group has nine established distribution partners globally and boasts over 340 customers through direct sales and distribution channels, having established an additional 50 customers since January 2019. Also you can only drive 5 mins before passing a TVG customer https://www.thevehiclegroup.com
shall, I regularly see them in trans-pennine A66 route between M6 in the West and A1M in North Yorkshire. I’m sure they can add more guardian units. Our fleet now has 340 customers worldwide. Only 200 last year if not mistaken. We just need to speed up G3.
Him a, it's that word again - Freshlincs. Whenever I drive past one of their lorries on the M25 like I did yesterday, it always brings a smile to my face. I don't often see them down here in the south, but when I do :)
I think it's guaranteed Hyms but we need to be at G3 which we are not, yet.
I concur BB. On the positives, Nice to see Guardian DMS Mexico — new but accounted for half of the installations for few months and tie up with another insurance provider. Only NTI was Rns’ed before. TVG tie up is potentially massive in addition to Freshlinc. I like the world ‘global customers’ and requirements in there. Sounds like Guardian is becoming ubiquitous in some companies’ fleet. No DMS competitor in fleet. And Mobileye has just started. I do appreciate the beginning of the RNS that Guardian is important to SEE. With all these activities, don’t you think an Guardian Fovio embedded solution in a Truck OEM becomes more likely by the day? Or am I being too positive?
Our SP firming up this week is very encouraging .The long awaited Fleet update was reassuring but only reiterated previous guidance & didn’t even hint at at a possible uplift from 27k installed units by 30/6/20.If anything ,Fleet numbers were obscured by being polled with off road & rail.More shred were placed with IIs than have been accounted for & there has been steady buying since the placing was complete & I remain curious as to who may hold just under a disclosable stake .We have had less news than expected so far this year & 30/6 is not far away so perhaps there are people close to the truth who are quietly accumulating ,ahead of expected news ,hopefully confirming major deals with VW ,Toyota & others.Lets hope our modest gain this week hold next week & we continue moving forward ,preferably supported by positive news
Good weekends all
