If that were the case, I would expect them to retrospectively update the prior quarter not artificially add then to this as that would be bad practice. Paul can clarify, but I'm sure he would call it out of they had done that.
The numbers are what I would expect given the immense ramp we should be getting from BMW and VW. These are true numbers and we are now on the road to plenty.
As ever, the comments on that article are gold.
"FSD is near perfect. Issues are not the fault of the system is because the roads are rubbish"
"Elon has delivered. People are so entitled thinking that just because it's FSD they don't have to do any driving or touch the controls"
So on so forth in the great excuses for why FSD doesn't work (or pretend not working is, in fact, proof of working) campaign of Elon obsessives.
For the sake of continuing debate, it's in here

But BMW will have total adoption next year, VW will also be widely adopting it. It's mandated in Europe in new models next year and Europe is a huge market. They aren't going to re-engineer everything to just not include DMS in other markets when it's generally becoming a feature that they use to inject other features into the car like HUD improvements.
As you want to mention Ford, BC is available even if not active in ALL Mustangs and I suspect the F150 is going to be the same followed by other cars. The safety features will also be active even if you don't pay for BC, therefore OUR penetration is higher than BC sales suggest.
Combined LSE & Telegram - Final numbers! Good luck all!

Seem to remember someone (Paul?) saying at one of the latest presentations that they are penetrating China through partners such as Qualcomm. They initially weren't intending to go after China but it now happens naturally as part of their BAU state.
No need to spend all your money trying to flog to low margin business if your partners sell your solution as part of their platform. So I don't at all buy that we aren't going to be in China.
For me, I feel that we are FAR FAR away from dark days and low points. We are in more of a lull period but financial situation, upcoming releases, numbers growing across fleet and automotive, a new product coming out and an *imminent* aviation deal mean I'm not at all worried.
FY24 profit no matter what the most negative of our analysts say
Agree Chutzpahtaker. SEYE growth is looking quite anemic despite regular 'design wins'. SEE growth on the other hand is looking strong and we have a few good launches coming up in the second half of the calendar year (our two biggest programs so far apparently).
Can't help the share price or wider market but if we can keep a good growth rate and start to show how good the margins will be, we'll start to get a move on. Hard to argue with finance numbers.
Lots of interesting tidbits from that call TBH.
1% uplift in automotive revenue (licensing and NRE both increased) compared to the same Q last year (Not sure that's great for a growing company!)
Their fleet product does not give them much more revenue per unit than automotive
I thought it was very interesting that there was some interest in NRE revenue as a big contributor. Now NRE is important as it filters into future licensing but it sounds like they very much value it as a revenue generator. SEE prefer license revenue as a high margin revenue stream. Wonder if their NRE and license revenues are both quite thin on margin.
Oh and the usual hyperbole about how amazingly ahead of everyone else they are of course in every conceivable way.
I just dropped in to look at trades and saw this board being as high quality as ever from the last year or so...
EVEN IF you wanted to ignore the fact that OEMs HAVE to install DMS AND the fact that the later it gets the more likely that they have to go for Magna mirror and therefore is better for us... Even with all of those positives ignored and we just look at the business we've secured, we'll STILL be profitable because all of our already landed business is just starting to ramp up.
Don't know why I check in here at all, I've seen less flip flops on a Greek beachfront. More handwringing than a Victorian laundry. Switch your screens off and come back in a few months time.
I think a lot of growth will be coming from iDrive8. It's rolled out/rolling out across a number of models right now.
I know 'unconfirmed' as with everything, so can understand not counting it, but worth keeping an eye on this BMW numbers nevertheless.
Brock, fair enough, reading it again, you are right 0.96 for the year. On the plus side we car sales are looking much healthier this year than last off January figures and the next half saw a big uptick last year. It can be done!
I agree expectation is 950k on the road by FYE23.
I would think we would comfortable exceed that. The next quarter is likely to be considerably stronger than this due to car launches and especially due to time of year.
I'm not going to even think about discussing top and bottom line numbers until results are out and we can look at the detail.
