Hi TL. Thanks - good share for trading this one, and probably a good one for holding in the end although not many holding shares in this market really. STAF has been fun if you want a wild ride :) Probably just take 5% or so this time around as trying to compound.

Share price drop.
Tue 09:48
Hi HeresHopin,

I have been invested here for a while, and foolishly didn’t sell for a significant profit , weeks ago, as I was (greedily) anticipating a further rise, which didn’t materialise.

The share price is in decline for the time being ( sell off in response to yesterday’s class action deadline or general investor disenchantment with the lack of news are my best guesses ). I am remaining invested for the time being, although the share price has shifted downwards significantly from its previous trading range, and it is difficult to predict what might happen. Further, the next trading update isn’t due until the end of July, and the DOJ issue remains unresolved.

Regards and good luck with your trade.

Fully agree with the risks that come with investing however if the company acted fraudulent and it was by acting so that caused the sp to drop then I can see why law firms are trying to jump on the bandwagon and get in on some action. Agreed cumulative news on closing date for this may have affected the sp. This DOJ indictment must have some serious legs. Things have gone so quiet on here so I’m assuming many have cut their losses quietly and moved on. Still invested in this and not trying to de ramp as it’s not in my locker.

I have just looked at the “Stocks” App on my iPad. Under the information section for Indivior, there are a large number of press releases from tort lawyer firms in the USA, reminding their potential “clients” that the deadline for inclusion in their respective class actions against Indivior is next Monday, June 24. Perhaps, it is this cumulative information, which has proliferated during the day, that is responsible for destabilising the INDV share price from its recent trading range?

I do not understand how actions like this can legitimately take place. When I invest in a stock, I do so with a full understanding of the risks and rewards that share trading embraces. All brokers are obliged to issue a warning to investors beforehand. When a share price collapses, how can the unfortunate investor justify claiming a reimbursement for their losses from the company? Such a consequence flies in the face of the fact that stock market investments carries serious risks; usually the higher the risk the greater the reward if the investor is successful. Had these same investors doubled their money, would they have contemplated a donation to the company that increased their wealth? I somehow do not think so.

I am not sure where that figure comes from, but the Uncrossed Trades at 16.35 were quoted as 15,755,333. I am more concerned that the closing price is below the trading range, within which it has remained for the last few weeks. Today, it dropped by 6.63% from yesterday’s closing price, which was mid-range.

Moreover, Indivior was the fourth most traded stock in the FTSE-250 today, with a net trading volume of 22,969,748. Are investors beginning to lose interest, as INDV has been a day-trader’s vehicle for a number of weeks - in the absence of an update?

I have no other explanation whether today’s share price fall is significant, for the time being, and will wait to see what Monday has to offer. (The 1H 2019 results are not due until July 31; a number of tort law firms in the USA have stated that the deadline for inclusion in their class action against Indivior is next Monday - but I do not see how that would affect the share price).

RB CEO appointment.
12 Jun '19
From Bloomberg News:

The new appointment could well be beneficial in helping RB Indivior towards a solution to the DOJ issue ( The incoming CEO has no baggage relating to the issue, he has been based in the US and should be well versed on US regulation procedures ).

"Reckitt Benckiser Group Plc has appointed Laxman Narasimhan as its new chief executive officer, succeeding Rakesh Kapoor. An outsider should herald a fresh start for a group that was once a superstar, but has more recently become a laggard."

" .... reinvention could be hampered by the aftershocks from the Justice Department’s indictment of Indivior Plc, the pharma business Reckitt spun off back in 2014. The drugmaker faces a $3 billion fine after U.S. prosecutors alleged it lied about the dangers of its opioid addiction treatment.

That Narisimhan didn’t have any hand in the Indivior spin off means he has no baggage associated with the original deal, which would impede finding a solution. Having been based in the U.S., he should also have experience of dealing with regulators there.

Indeed, this underlines the benefit of appointing an outsider – to both the company and the broader European consumer goods sector – he has much more latitude to take the difficult decisions that Reckitt needs to regain its stellar status."

Big positive for INDV. The main issue is that the opioid addiction problem is a major problem in US. Fueled not only by illegal drug use but by prescription drugs. The situation is exacerbated by the cost of US health care & cost of medication is also very high. So this is a perfect storm of many US health-care issues and is a v hot political concern. This explains in part the legal case that INDV & RB are involved with but also highlights that INDV are at the forefront of supplying & researching medications designed to combat the opioid epidemic. The legal case (effectively) is about trying to get lower medication prices which shows that the US govt is actually delivering on its promise to get lower pricing from drug companies. There will be a lot of horse-trading going on behind the scenes between the respective legal teams to get some kind of deal. I personally expect (no inside information, just based on public domain) a (soon) resolution which will serve to remove the major obstacle from the INDV sp.

Currently, being invested in INDV is becoming a spectator sport. It oscillates within a trading range of approximately 5%, with little indication of any appreciable gain in the absence of further news. Many investors, like myself, will regret not having sold a few weeks ago when the share price was 58p or thereabouts. It is not often that an opportunity presents itself to sell at a 30% profit, and subsequently to repurchase at your original purchase price. I have reset my INDV target and am now prepared to sell should another opportunity arise.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inter_partes_review hopefully not so terrible as PTAB decision can still be subject to court procedures, which means years of battle and millions of dollars by parties.
