@beardeddragon i'm not entirely surprised it's fallen, given the slide in pgms. still seems absurdly low, but as my average book cost is under £40, i'm not (yet) that bothered. i would buy now, rather than risk waiting for h1 results, or for it to fall to £50, but that may just be my book talking.
back of *** packet computations for h1 are still very healthy. with just over a week to go, it looks as if platinum's average ytd is going to be well over $2000/oz. assuming production is consistent with full year guidance (running significantly over in q1), that should translate to ebitda of ~r37b, significantly more than fy 2026. which should give eye-watering fcf and a stonking interim divi.
so i would be very surprised if we don't see £80 again, even the £100 i hoped for. but i've been surprised and disappointed before, and will be again. we will see when h1 results are published - i assume in early august.
