Understand what you are saying spring but (from memory) in the RNS they made the point that they would maintain the same standards as in the premium listing - it just saves some money, but more importantly gives them more flexibility which is potentially useful at the moment.

RE: Transfer to Standard Listing

Re: transfer from Premium to Standard listing on LSE, the BOD announced they were taking comprehensive strategic advice from experts, which I presume includes asset disposal. Am I alone in being concerned that any new flexibility emerging from a Premium to a Standard listing switch could have dubious consequences for loyal shareholders, employees, suppliers and customers alike, especially if the transfer has become a pre-condition for any future M&A deals to provide more generous terms to the buyers... which may or may not be deemed a potential conflict of interest? Personally, I would prefer Flybe to retain its Premium Listing to ensure a higher degree of transparency but I trust the EGM will cover this topic and allay any fears.

It appears to have gone relatively un-noticed that from 6 April 2010 the Listing Rules introduced a new two tier listing regime which allows both UK and overseas companies wishing to obtain a “full” listing on the London Stock Exchange (LSE) a choice between a Premium and a Standard Listing.

Companies with a Premium Listing are required to continue to follow more stringent standards than those required by EU Securities Law as demonstrated below:

Premium Listing
Companies must have a sponsor and are rigorously supervised
Three year trading record
Must adhere to the UKs premium rules and standards, meeting the highest standards of corporate governance

Standard Listing
No sponsor nor a nominated adviser (Nomad) required
Not required to show a three-year trading record
Required to meet the less onerous benchmark as set out by the EU minimum standard directive

Woodstock, you would be well advised to look at What Mogg actuallu does with his offshore hedge funds, how many does he have interests in? Any have bases in dublin, or Singapour, Cayman Islands , Name 5 , and then ask how he can be primeminister? You actaully think Mgoo is going to give up £ millions per year, he is only in Parliament to help hedge funds shape uk law to suit his self and his croonie mates

RE: Mayfield

P.S. Mayfield is right about the NAV and it is pretty straightforward to calculate - 55p less maybe 10-15p for reduced liquidity since and discount at a push, but with nothing in there for the slots. Obviously whether the assets fit into the fleet or strategy of any bidder is another question, and might affect what they are prepared to pay, irrespective of what a calculation says they are worth. The information here on LSE is often shocking and can never be relied upon at all - this is just a chat site for shares but the prices / calendar / broker ratings / news / financials / fundamentals etc. have more holes than a Gorgonzola and should be ignored or taken with a large pinch of salt at the least.

Posters on here who either fly,or are involved with flyb at either ground or operational level.Ignore the white house from the herd. Most have moved on to graze elsewhere. The company will not indeed cannot be sold down at this level.
The bod have fiduciary responsibilities and more to the point have share averages waaaaay above current sp.
Yes. a company is worth what someone wi!l pay but the company need not sell....and rival suitors cannot just let opposition snap up flyb under their noses. Ramp /Deramp whatever...the abacus and number crunchers are busy.Got to be in it to win it.gl

Lol, I didn't follow you in Woodstock - that was a joke. I have been in and out of there (and posted the same) since June - half a dozen trades in all and each time after the big drop and before the next big one thankfully.

It’s clear in the H1 financial statements that form part of the announcement. Read it, and do the sum yourself, 217m/118.6m = 55p

The gang make me laugh . One day they announce Virgin have pulled out to get a good buyin price . Then they announce the deal is done 31.5p a share , news Wednesday as in tomorrow . All this is fraud a attempt to mislead and profit from deception . Sorry if I hurt your feelings but your seemingly fraudulent actions temporarily hurt my bank account . Obviously if we hear 31.5p a share agreed with Vergin then I apologise.

Net Asset Value is 55p a share, as stated in the H1 results statement. £118.6m divided by 217m shares. Not difficult.

Last night you forgot to mention that i put baby's in the microwave. Your incredilous words of last evening upset me. What's going on is we got magor companies wanting a slice of Flybe. The answer is that two big companies have announced that they are keen too buy Flybe. Weakness on this site comes of need for quick money and easily forgets the real news
