Young & Co.'s Brewery, P.L.C. Brian Palmer: confirmation of retirement Further to the announcement made on 26 September 2006, the board of Young &Co.'s Brewery, P.L.C. announces that Brian Palmer, aged 77, a non-executivedirector, yesterday retired from the board. Chris Sandland, Young's Chairman, said "Brian has been a member of our board since 1965, including a period asexecutive director running our Wines and Spirits operation from 1974 to 1980.With a background in advertising and marketing consultancy, Brian made aparticular contribution in development of the Young's brand and played animportant part in helping us shape the new Young's.
